Draymond is pretty spot on here: Without KD coming to GS, he doesn't win championships either. Fair point. That okc team wasn't winning. The point is that I don't think the warriors win either. If they really believed they would have, they would've just run it back with barnes against Lebron's cavs. But they didn't do that. Why? Because they believed they NEEDED KD to take down bron. And that's exactly what happened. KD won those championships.
-Just because the warriors won without KD 2 yrs ago doesn't mean that they win without kd for their previous 2 championships in 2017-2018. And if KD doesn't get hurt in 2019, they would've won a 3rd chip against the raptors.

If he possessed leadership skills he would have went to the front office n demanded a change. He should have asked for more shooters around him n Russ or a coaching change. players like Zeke and a lot of fans like to bring up 2016 3-1. i don't even argue that shit no more. the Cavs won. what get me is the people who still argue Like it was Steph who came running to KD team. in 2019 KD got hurt and was out in game 7 the Houston series, and Steph closed them out. i don't think KD played 1 game in the Portland Championship series that the Warriors Swept. he came back, got hurt, and ran to start another super team which he failed with. got swept by the Celtics, then ran to Phoenix to start another Super team. KD can't win unless he team up with 3 or 4 superstars.

Weak take by Zeke. The Warriors give KD a leg to stand on when people talk about his legacy. Without those two chips and two Finals MVP’s, KD would be getting roasted for not being a winner. That stint in Brooklyn would’ve been scrutinized x100 for not bringing home a title. The Warriors saved KD more than he saved the Dubs. They would’ve been competing for chips regardless.

WRONG!!! This was a 73-9 team, that still played all the way until Game 7 of the finals that year. Everybody act like cavs swept them or the cavs went 4-1. They didn’t exactly need KD they just needed a wing player that could take over the game in crunch time, because the scouting reports started to catch up for other teams. Carmelo Anthony(Olympic Version), Paul George, even Wiggins could have fit that system. They needed a Wing guy because Steph wasnt at the point of where he could take over consistently like other stars. Ultimately, everybody benefited in the end. THEY NEEDED EACH OTHER

Man, I really wish people would go back and see just how dominant that 2016 Warriors team actually was. Even in the finals their margin of victory was like 20 pts. Injuries, suspensions and the refs (let's be real), helped Cle. People act like the following year, they would've somehow just fell off a cliff, they still had Steph on a team friendly deal (which is how they got KD), it's possible they could've went and got other people outside of KD to strengthen the team. Even with the injuries, suspensions, if Harrison Barnes plays a little better they still win (the Kings know about HB as well).
We can acknowledged that KD made the Warriors overpowered, but they were still a dominant team with an excellent roster. They could've strengthened a few areas and essentially been back. In 2019, with no KD if Klay doesn't get injured, many people think they beat the Raptors, in 2022 no KD they win. So again, I just don't understand this idea
