    I always appreciate videos like these. There are countless videos I've been able to watch that gave me a new perspective on something I already thought I knew. Like in this one the adding more oil after running the engine a bit is a great tip, I hadn't thought to do it that way. It makes complete sense and I really can't believe I hadn't thought of it before. Thanks!

      I'm never sure should I make them as there are so many out there :) Well glad I could add to your arsenal of knowledge :D It's purely to fill up the filter more than anything else really :) Not at all thanks or watching man :)

    I'll have my bike's first oil change to do soon, but I'll need 4-liters of oil (4.3-quarts). And I have two drain plugs, and a dipstick to check the level.
    Actually, this time around, I'm going to have Honda do the first oil change so they can do the other inspections and adjustments under warranty.
    After that one, I'm on my own! And, it's always interesting to see how Honda does things, and it was nice to see they kept it easy for the CBF1000. :)

    • @TheGorillaBiker
      @TheGorillaBiker  Před 3 lety +1

      4 litres is a tasty amount, what's the service interval with that much? I personally prefer dipsticks and multiple drains....I find they work better :) Ah yes that is indeed a good plan :) I'll get something new enough to have a warranty eventually :D Yeah they sometimes make things over engineered and painful. my favourite bike to work on is still my GSXR :)

    Nice job on the oil change mate. That’s cool that the oil is red. I’ve seen too many people over tighten oil filters and have turn into a nightmare later on.

    I use the same oil (Motul full syn). That filter cover is pretty slick. I do love the built in easy to pour spouts. I don't own a CBF1000 but I would, seems like a great bike. I'm still here cause I like your vids TBH many of your tips are general and apply to any oil change.

    Perfect. I was going to ask which filter you used and then you told me anyway. I'm going to go for the Motul 5000 semi synthetic as it's a good amount less then the 7100. I was going to wait for the tyres to need changing and get everything done at the same time, but the Bridgestone BT021s I have are wearing so well, I'm doing the oil myself. The bikes done just over 3000 miles since I bought it last year and the tyres are only half worn and gripping better now they've had some proper use. Thanks for this video..👍 😁

    • @TheGorillaBiker
      @TheGorillaBiker  Před 3 lety +1

      Haha happy to help :) Look pretty much any oil will be grand once you change it often enough, only reason I use the fully synth is cus I like to ride the bike in a more spirited manner a lot :D Ah it's always great to find a tyre that just suits you and the bike, that was me and Dunlop Roadsmart 2s on my old Fazer :) Thanks for watching!

    The nozzle you press on a soap dispenser long tube can be stuck I to the oil resovour and that can suck up the oil if you put too much into it. I had this issue and it took out what I needed as I put too much oil in the engine which is a no no ha
