I test drove a 2017 Grand Sport convertible auto in Admiral blue today. I was going to trade in my 2009 Porsche Boxster S but couldn't do it. My opinions mirrored the reviewer, great torque, easy speed with little effort. A Z06 would just be gross excess. The Grand Sport is more than enough. No squeaks or rattles. The doors close with a lightness and precision. The HUD was really neat, very legible without taking your eyes off the road. Great exhaust sound. The car had the red hash marks on the fenders, and a white stripe on the hood and trunk. I was so impressed I purchased the car. Thanks for the review.
I have a 2017 GS and I absolutely love it! Turns heads all the time. It’s definitely the sweet spot

I had to take my dad’s C7 grand Sport this past weekend as his condo was power washing their underground parking. So I kept it in my garage for a few days. The drive was unreal. The power is just ridiculous. I normally drive a Kia Forte EX so I wasn’t accustomed to the pick up especially from say 60mph. Nice ride. It was amazing how many heads it turned when I drove locally. Same Color as the one in this video. Amazing car.

Theres actually a little handle to close the hatch on the right side. It fits your hand perfectly and makes closing the trunk easier. Also, If you have the doors or windows open, you can shut the hatch so that you don't have to touch the paint to use the soft close feature. It just slams shut with the windows or doors open due to less air pressure being in the car. Congrats on the car! I just picked up a 2019 GS M7 myself.

Very nice review. You can tell when someone really appreciates a car. Thanks for not trashing stupid little things like the famous interior, which I never really understood. I think it's gorgeous. . I'm going to buy a grand sport this summer because I like it more than the C8.. thanks. I once had a red 2008 convertible Z51 4Lt and it was a dream.It actually handled very close to my Porsche 944s.

C7 IS ABSOLUTELY MY DREAM CAR ‼️ i have a 08 infiniti g37s coupe VQ37VHR right now which atm is perfect for me because its been highly reliable doesn't cost much to maintain at all, ive done some exterior mods im keeping it clean so i can eventually sell it and get my my first vette which will probably end up being a C5 then ill work my way up from there the ultimate dream car is definitely c7 tho!!!

crazy that I was planning to watch this video when I got back from a trip I just went on and while I was on the trip my girlfriend's grandfather offered to take me for a ride in his 2018 z06, it was insane, fastest car I've been in by a few hundred hp

Dude, you sound just like me.. Picked up a 19’ GS with 6300 miles on it two weeks ago.. Elkhart lake blue 7 spd.. Love it. Btw, the rear hatch has a finger pocket to lower the rear hatch.. It’s to the right of the latch.. Most balanced C7 of the bunch..

You should also try to get your hands on a early c3 between 68-70 with a big block 427 or 454. Huge horsepower and massive torque.
I highly respect them but I'm not a fan of classics.

Corvettes are the perfect cars. end of story. Idc if you're a chevy guy, dodge guy, ford guy, whatever. Every car guy LOVES and wants a corvette! Its definitely my goal to acquire one....no question. Definitely its part of my dream garage.

Most people agree the C7 looks better than the C8. Hopefully the 9th Gen will look more natural
Thinking about buying a C7 GS but the used car market is so inflated price wise right now I am afraid the price correction in the future will lower the value after the price correction. Been checking different year corvettes and there seems to be a 15/20% price increase from pre-covid prices. What do you think??
I wouldn’t buy a car in todays market unless it’s brand new. Corvettes are way too high right now. If you want one, you just gotta pay for it haha

I think the gs or better will hold their value pretty well because they're the last front engine only vettes. Mine is a low mile 2019 convertible, and it's worth like 77k right now. Even with market correction, I don't think it would drop more than a few grand.

Yes! I actually drove a C8 and it drives good but I don’t have that feeling that I get in a c7
Hi, I'm the owner of the GS in this video and I still have it. Love, love, love my Vette but... I did get the chance to drive a C8 and I was really impressed! Chevy did an awesome job on the C8 and I'm tempted to get one, but I'll wait for the price to calm down before I get one. 😁
I actually like the styling of the C6 Corvettes, too, but not the interior, lol. A Mach 1 or PP2 Mustang would handle quite a bit better than your base model.
I like C6's too! I put new wheels and tires on, and just that alone transformed my handling. Suspension is next ;)
C8 front is good but they blew it on the rear. C7 or c6 are best designs ..even c5 is timeless .. grand sport c7 for me
C7's are the last real Corvette. No thanks for racer boy C8.

Although badass, Some people don't want to pay for the extra 200 horsepower, and the Z06 badge.
What I will pay for is the z06 wide body, z06 suspension, and an lt1 (naturally aspirated v8) for a fraction of the cost.

It's because Toyota felt there was enough demand to make a manual version... I'd still much rather have a ZF-8 than any manual.

C7 vette dowsnt come close to a porsche in stopping power. Not even remotely close. It also cant stop nearly as dast as my mr2.
Try a Z07 Chief they stop with the best of the exotics.
