  • Every year the Belgian Ultralight Federation (BULMF) organizes a Safety Day on an Air Force facility. Different safety related topics are covered during lectures and training. One training stands out: pilots get a chance to practice engine out landings, with or without flight instructor. The (very) long runway boosts confidence to dare to stop the prop and glide your way in.
This video shows three engine out landings in my Virus SW F-JTRW. Congratulations to BULMF for organizing and Beauvechain Belgian Air Force base for hosting this wonderful event.

I'm also a Virus pilot. I'm stationed in Poland (EPRZ). I envy you - a super initiative.

Happy to hear it inspires you. Maybe you can take an initiative with a few colleagues?
