- New documents obtained by News 4 San Antonio show the Robb Elementary school shooter exhibited red flags long before he stepped into a Uvalde gun shop, but none of them were ever reported.
We obtained new FBI interview documents with people who knew the shooter, as well as security camera video from the days he purchased his weapons.
We showed all of this to family members of the Uvalde shooting victims. They tell us it's further fueling their fight for gun reform and their pleas for people to report threats immediately.

What I find strange is why did they released the blurred out muted version of the video? I would like to have heard conversations between buyer and seller if the information on the reports IS confirmed.

@@drakecarter1780 they just released the uncensored version, which was only two short clips out of 48 minute footage(which they still have to blur all faces not of the shooter) that mostly shows the shooter pacing in the store.

I think because a gun is much easier to handle if you know how to use it in my area buying a gun is really strict and lots of background checks while drinking at a young age can mess up your brain which when driving is really dangerous

@@Levi-in8eq In the UK it’s not easy to get guns you can’t just buy a gun just like that and quicker they have to go through a lot of tests and they have to ask why you need to buy a gun for and they will ask if you have any background checks including criminal records and metal illness requirements and they have to see if your violent person or using a gun to commit a crime with it

My respects to the families. I remember purchasing my rifle in the same store in Uvalde and it took more or less 45 minutes as well. Everything was done correctly, from the background check to the confirmation of identity.
You can put it in storage safe and lock it.

@@drakecarter1780 you can't judge by appearance and mannerisms in his case unless if it's quite obviously stated by the gunman itself. That is not how any kind of business works. Let's be realistic, A cake shop yes, but gun/hunting store nope. The only way you can prevent him from getting guns is to do a required mental and full background exam/check which can be verified via state IDs(which is what Salvador used for proof of identity verification in this case) and 6-9 month waiting period for getting the rifle ensures the background checks. This probably only prevents potential mass shooters from being able to easily gain access to long rifles legally. But it won't safeguard anyone from getting long rifles illegally.

According to reports he worked at two jobs. One job at Whataburger and the one at Wendy's was fulltime position as one of the managers. He probably had no bills to pay at his age, and i believe that is the reason the grandfather commented that "his grandma did everything for him" and the last time he saw Salvador was when the grandma wanted to take him off her phone line.
@Stormtrooper we don't know exactly what went on in the moment so I can't just simply labeled him a freak or monster. We don't know if he was high on drugs or just completely lost his mind due to a mental illness that wasn't treated. Sorry that people do things for a reason but we have to understand that even in the morally worst of people we need to remind ourselves that they are still humans with real issues.
He is legally purchasing guns. How is that a red flag? You can't report someone for not breaking the law.
He first asked his sister who was over 18 to make the purchase for him--Knowing the Salvador was trying to do, his sister was like "hell no!"
Then, when Salvador turned 18 himself, he purchased online the AR-15 and ammo he used, as well as a bulletproof vest (anticipating that there may be a "good guy with a gun" present and ready to shoot back at him...Which Texas is a perfect place for)--It should've been a red flag that he was so hellbent on acquiring an AR-15 and tried to get his over-18-year-old sister to make the purchase for him, before doing it himself the second he turned 18.
In addition, he had many violent tendencies (he *LIVESTREAMED HIMSELF ABUSING ANIMALS*) and he even *SAID OUTRIGHT* he was going to shoot up an elementary school...
...If neither of those are red flags, then what the hell is??
He lived his whole life suspended violent etc there's no reason why he had that kind of a record and someone gave me a riffle and amo .... that's what we mean by legit background checks not just oh you're 18 okay cool ID please ty ..... it's STUPID

The system failed to ensure that the shooter didn't get weapons. They knew he was nuts and did nothing.

All gun stores need to require background checks and mental evaluations, which some if not most already do.

If for some reason he's got something wrong in his mind and he's still planning this close to being 21, police have a better chance at catching him
These types of people are planners, so when they plan these things out, they leave themselves vulnerable to law enforcement.
The higher the age limit, the longer the planning time, the more chances for the police to get involved.
