- New footage from inside of the Uvalde school shooting is causing renewed outrage over the police response. The bodycam video shows former Uvalde school police chief Pete Arredondo negotiating with the gunman. Retired LAPD Sergeant Cheryl Dorsey says " to hear him try to negotiate with an active shooter in real time as those babies were being massacred is nonsensical. It is a clear lack of leadership and incompetence."
They treated the shooter with more respect than the parents.

Any parent stuck outside would've done more than any of these officers put together. The level of incompetence is astounding.
I saw the video of how he just mindlessly opened fire as the one kid was turning the corner to go back to class from the bathroom, and I wish I had been a police officer on the scene because I would have shot through the door to the room he was in and yelled something along the lines of "I'm going to kill you, you m----f-----!!" and started lighting the shooter up. The one cop had a long-range assault rifle and retreated to fifty feet away from the door. Small-town cops with no masculine qualities
And the parents didn't have all the PPE that the cowards did, my question is fine they pussed out, why stop the parents who had the courage to go in.

Well they can be safe if the government did its job. The killer has a long history of violence and psychiatric issues. He filmed himself carrying around bags of cats that he killed and had plenty of interactions with the police for domestic violence yet he had no paper trail. If the government did its job he would have immediately been declined for that fire arm purchase.

Today a 22 year old man prevented a mall-shooting. This man has more balls than the entire Uvalde police department.

You can tell that none of these officers had their kids lives in danger. If even 1 had their kid in that room, it would have been handled different. You can see they had nothing precious to lose, unlike the parents being forced to wait outside.

The cowardice, represented among the law enforcement in Uvalde, is absolutely disgusting and mind numbing. They all need to be fired and charged with cowardice and dereliction of duty. They also should never be able to have any other position in law enforcement, ever again. My heart breaks for all the hurting families in that community. I am truly surprised that one of the parents hasn't "lost it" and "taken care of" some of those responsible for this debacle, already. After all, isn't Texas a gunslinging, outlaw state???

When you mistreat outcast and customer service employees or anyone for that matter …you never know what else is going on behind the scenes that can lead to a disaster like this. he was a sociopath , personality development mostly happens before age of 3 -5 . he grew up in a dysfunctional family ( mother with drug addiction, unstable household and experience of sexual assault ) . of course bullies also triggered him , but there were more factors than just them

"Please put your gun down, sir" is what you say to someone holding a gun to their own head. Or MAYBE in a hostage situation. Not when the guy is actively murdering helpless 10 year olds. I don't care where you stand on gun control, police reform or any other issue. This was an absolutely DISGUSTING display of cowardice and incompetence.

This would be logical procedure if the shooter hasn't "done" the action but clearly they knew that the shooter has already killed and injured innocent children. These officers did do the right thing but did it in the wrong time when in the other hand they could have saved many lives. They "protected" the parents outside by not letting them in but they didn't protect the children that were in the situation.
You're absolutely right! Once a shooter has killed, no negotiation whatsoever.

I mean it all depends too though, did the shooter still have hostages? Did he have other firearms? Any other weapons or traps that might be laying in wait? How well is he fortified?
Remember the Dallas shooting? It took a robot with explosives to finally go in without risking more lives, the shooter was that well trained and that well fortified. I doubt they were negotiating with him for his safety, just a way to try get him to come out without risking more lives + without the possibility of collateral damage towards the kids. It's hard to decide what's right in real time with lack of information.
All cops involved deserve the same fate. And karma always come back around.
