I remember when tbc launched i was clearing out my bank alts and had THOUSANDS of ghost mushrooms stocked for making limited invulnerability potions

Before cataclysm I maxed out alchemy on my combat rogue and absolutely trolled everyone in pvp. The methods of survive-ability I had at my disposal was rediculous.

Dragonbreath Chili is also one of the extremely rare, if not the only, Poison type buff, Poison usually only appears as a debuff type (green border).
can it be removed by mates ?
@@Lotuswalker I don't think so as it isn't a debuff. It may be removed by using the antidotes from First Aid or the cure potions from Alchemy though

I planned on making my main an herbalist and alchemist for this reason.
I did Tailoring/Enchanting in vanilla. Boooooriiiing! Time to farm potions and become OP this time around. Getting invis potions and free actions first. Handing free actions to my melee friends when we PvP.
6:15 Look at that combat text, even thought its limited due to the damage source. Its still infinitely better than the new combat text used, and it needs to be brought up more especially to the Classic devs.

Engi. in Vanilla and BC was simply AMAZING. the utility items you had on you was just abizmal. With it you had a answer for almost any scenario. ESPECIALLY the little repair bots for raiding/dungeons, oh we wiped 5 times and everyone is broke? Here let me just put my little guy down so we can repair on the go and not spend the next 30 min. going back and forth to a major city.

Crystal Charges are OP. I used them all the time in pvp. nobody really knew where they came from so very few people used them. didn't share the CD with grenades either.

After video: my god....I had no idea all of the things I could have been doing on my alchemist as a kid.
the best way to clear the nefarion undeads was actually holy wrath. bubble + wrath = gg. with raid gear at that level you can assume 600 damage per wrath, 6 paladins x 600 = 3600 damage (not counting crits). the undeads have 6100hp so that's over half their hp in 2 seconds lul. alliance op in bwl.
Wouldn't be a video without getting triggered about prot paladins, haha.
Real talk though, I loved oil of immolation back in the day and I totally forgot about the chili. Can't wait to pick up the thunderbrew boot flask.

Startholme holywater on feral, unlike crystal charge it doesn't remove your cat form and it's one minute cd but it only works on undead targets
btw the mage at 02:07 used a free action potion, not a limited invulnerability potion (you can see on his buffs that he has free action pot active). He's immune to physical attacks thanks to Paladin bubble though, which is a big combo. :>

So now im on the fence for my rogue... Minning/engineering or Alc/Herb? I had planned to do mining because in some places like BRD you can solo farm dark iron ore and make a killing doing it. While your there you can pick pocket farm which can net you some great things as well. I think I can buy most of the alch stuff but im unsure because price gouging.
Free action potion is also used to to drop aggro for 6 sek
Oil of Immolation doesn't generate threat but it is nice to min max ur dmg on aoe packs
hey punkrat, do you know of any consumables that buff allies like the crystal spire or scrolls that would cause someone to drop the flag in WSG? Imbiber on friendly target or maybe a potion of invis for friendly target (not the caster but the target)
would've liked a dps meter when showing off all the thorns dmg, and clicking ur name and going indepth to eaches damage. Still a great video!

In my opinion, the best way to deal with Nef skeles is make sure your raiders have Stratholme Holy Waters. 1 well placed holy water can do 40k dmg, couple tossers and skeles aren't a problem and any1 can handle them not just mages.

Okay so I'm currently deciding between Prot Warrior and Hunter as well. What made you choose hunter? Also, why no Troll Warriors?
he said in another video he was going hunter due to play time. warrior requires alot of dedication, especially prot, as you basicly need to be the guilds main tank and show up for every raid. if your not consistant, a guild probably wont want you as the main tank, and expect you to go fury. hunters have no loot competition with other classes really, but still are needed in raids for certain mechanics. so if your good, you will get geared easily, and guilds will want to take you.

Yeah there used to be so much utility in consumables. Sad that most of the items become irrelevant past 60 with reduced effect on lvl 70 and higher players, or no effect at all sometimes.

Interesting, so pretty much even in vanilla everyone had a healing, speed boost, and other class specific abilities available to them. You just had to look past the spell book and grind "a bit".
That was the gist of it, you compensated with professions to balance your class out without losing the class uniqueness. As an alchemist i did't even had to farm, people just came with mats
Alchemists can make most of the important potions n flasks?
Damn I never used any of these in vanilla. Health, mana pots and some potions and eatibles for raiding but no real pvp pots.
yo you said you wouldnt recommend troll warror. one of the most skilled vanella tanks suggest troll warrior is the best tanking race on horde side. this is because of the extra threat gen the troll racial gives and better rage regen . keep up the good vids man well done
I was talking more for fury dps, as a tank it doesnt really matter what u go tbh.
@@Punkrat ok true. but yes race does matter for tank. in vanilla threat generation is v important, hence human warrior for +swords or troll for +haste and rage . tauren +stam is way overrated and isnt that valuable. subbed

Looks like the Crystal Spire thorn buff does not stack with druid thorns. Also Crystal Charges share a CD with normal dynamite. You don't mention they don't share a CD, but just throwing that out there. Really nice if you don't have engineering, but need some quick aoe at the start of a big pull for a tank.
