- This could be a controversial one. Now't wrong with a bit of healthy competition, however, Peak Design are seriously good. Good enough for me to bin all my #quadlock anyway.

I’ve watched this video several times, and each time there’s a Quadlock ad at the beginning. How ironic!
Great case and mount but it is flawed as it doesn’t charge with my Audi wireless charger or apple wireless charger or my wireless stand, in fact it doesn’t charge with most other wireless chargers only Quadlocks own devices!! Very disappointing from that perspective, I did try to get in touch and did have a online chat but was told exactly what I just discovered above, so they basically said good luck but only our chargers are recommended, pity they take such a poor customer service stance. But great case just don’t expect it to charge.
Companies can buy ads in you tube, it's not the you tuber
Thanks for the review. I was looking for a phone mount for my bike and I found your review very helpful.
This was so helpful! Thank you for the detailed video & explanation. From one phone mount nut to another I sincerely appreciate you!
I plan to start riding soon and have been looking into quadlock and alternatives since they seem kind of bulky and have limited cases. I’m so glad I came across your video and I’m familiar with peak design as they are pretty reputable in the photography world so I’m really excited about these products! Hopefully the charger has come out by now
peak design has even more limited cases
This whole idea of PD phone accessories looks like perfect design. I am only wondering how it goes with long-term use of magnetic field for smartphone battery. Personally I don't change phones very often I'm using electronic till they end for good.
Hello! New to your channel and just viewed your demonstration of the Peak motorcycle mount and loved it. I also have the quad lock and i do also have trouble mounted it. With that said, i just ordered the Peak mount for my motorcycle. Keep up the great the work!!
Just found you Steve. Great video, very informative and your humor rules. Thanks!
I love that peak design. Great design with the magnets and the locking mechanism with the motorcycle bar mount is too easy and yet looks very very reliable.
I’m sold. Beautiful design and useful too. All to often a product is either form over function or function over form. These line of products are the joining of form and function in a seem less product design. Love them. I’ll be ordering some of these soon. Love the video btw. Very informative. 👍
I have Ultmate addons at the moment but the touch screen is hit and miss was looking at the quadlock but these peak products look just what i`m looking for , little more research but I`m sure I`ll be ordering soon , great channel and content cheers 👍
I’ve been using Quadlock for some time when they actually launched. The reason why I stopped using their products is that the phone cases are a real pain to remove from the phone. So I had a deeper look into phone mounts and came to look at one of favorite labels. I own quite a few PD products and they’re all fantastic! Now they came to design a whole new concept. The PD case is probably the best case I’ve ever owned for a phone and the mount is great. Albeit being on the more expensive side of things, they nailed it one more time! Great stuff!
i prefer Quad any day .. phone is alot more secure then on this PD thing .. and i must add .. OFC he thinks PD is better .. he invested 10 k pounds so he wont be telling anyone that quad trumphs it now with the Mag covers
what are you talking about??? lol.
I have the quadlock mount on my phone and it works flawlessly. can remove it whenever I want, as easy as it gets. in fact it's easier than the quadlock.
talking nonesense mate.
@@rafaela.coutocabral8067 bla-bla-bla! Start to understand what you read and we talk. Or not.
"The reason why I stopped using their products is that the phone cases are a real pain to remove from the phone."
That's the point.
When he shakes the PD the phone wiggles a lot, with the quadlock dampener the phone is still. Is this the case in your experience? Is quad more secure?
Waiting for the wireless charging version. I do wonder though if a weaker magnet setup will be comming out as I see users are having problems with their phones GPS being thrown off while in use and the optical image stabilisation being effected on some phones while recording videos with the case as well as the S-pen not working for Samsungs. I'd use an old phone with the universal attachment to get around these issues but that kind of defeats the point and I'm worried if the magnets could damage the electronic parts on my motorcycle like my speedo digital screen etc overtime as these are even more expensive?
This should be good! I'll definitely keep an eye on you and the Peak Design stuff for motorcycles.
I have a number of items for my camera gear, and I have zero issues with hanging heavy and precious stuff around my neck; if it comes from Peak Design...
Great recommendations! And thanks for the Triumph Tiger explanation… jajaja I just waiting for the wireless charger to upgrade my Evotech quadlock mount for this…
Never thought I’d go away from quad lock especially seeing their release of the MAG edition with the slimmer case! The original case always irritated me with that small hump right in the middle! This is genius and a credit to PD for their beautiful simple design logo also, very nice feature to add on to the already amazing innovative product. The quick magnetic snap to fit the phone to the bike compared to the QL is so simple and effective. I will be sure to be purchasing from you on top of my Denali setup once I’m back in the UK for my SAS. 👍🏻 great video once again.
Great case and mount but it is flawed as it doesn’t charge with my Audi wireless charger or apple wireless charger or my wireless stand, in fact it doesn’t charge with most other wireless chargers only Quadlocks own devices!! @@alhit007 My phone charges fine on wireless chargers, no problem with the PD case, must be a fault with your phone, I have no issues what so ever, case is excellent, only thing I wish PD did was make a wireless bike charger, but that is in the works I was told.
@@alhit007mines works fine with any wireless charger
Received my Peak Design order yesterday , almost next day delivery brilliant Steve , fitted the bike mount , what a beautifully made product and works perfectly , on my R18, the case is the same beautiful design , bought the stand wallet too , yet to try the wallet but stand is really handy , couple of things I wanted are out of stock at the mo. So expect another order soon. Thanks Steve great product and super delivery,
Sorry if I missed it. Are PD bringing out a wireless charger for the phone mount and if so, when is it expected to come out please?
I currently have the Quadlock phone mount, anti vibration and wireless charger. Whilst the PD design looks better due to not having to twist the phone, without the wireless charger, it would feel a step backwards from the Quadlock.
Nice review!! No wireless charging for this correct??
Thanks for this! These look awesome and really contender for quadlock!
Do they do a wireless charger for bikes?
They will be but that’s something for next year from what I have been told.
WOW, what a beautiful and thoughtful design 👍🏽 I have a peak design backpack, they are known for there luggage design, had no idea they make phone accessories. Nice video and thanks for sharing 👍🏽
Hi Steve. I was interested immediately as I agree with you re 2 main issues/problems. Sadly, I see that they don’t have a case for my phone iPhone 8! I do have a good protective case that has a metal square in side which I needed for my magnetic car phone holder. Do you think that arrangement would work with the bike mount?
You’d need to purchase the universal mount and stick it to your iPhone 8 case.
Dear Steve!
Thank you very much for this new product review and your honesty.
Looking forward to your next one
Cheers mate
Ami
Any plans or accessories for a Uniden R7? A holder for it would be awesome, like the ram mount magnet mount. Thnx
I may have missed you saying it but does the universal bar mount with the strap have vibration dampening? Great video. I have the same issue with my current quadlock.
Only the 2 motorcycle mounts have the vibration damper
The two motorcycle mounts + the ball and socket mount! The ball mount is for ATV and other of-road uses too. 🙂
@@Jacob8890 yes the 1” ball will have it and we will be stocking that too.
Looks good, but it seems to be missing one thing, a mirror mount. I want to mount this on my GS on the bar with the navigation prep, but there doesn’t seem to be a mount for that.
Also, lack of wireless charging is a real gap.
Looks good. Do they do a waterproof pouch like quadlock? Or any other way of keeping the entire phone dry when on the bike?
Thanks
No. I guess they’re assuming all of the phones will be waterproof
Very interesting video Steve, wish you every success. If its the same company I have bought quite a few bits of their camera related equipment, straps etc and find them beautiful design and premium product. I will consider getting a handlebar mount for my GSA, currently just put my phone in the tank bag and use connected app/nav 6 and been happy. A few people are getting the connected cradles, only problem I see is no vibration dampener which is a dealbreaker as I paid top dollar for my iPhone and dont wont the IOS damaged on camera as apple wont cover. Maybe be fine buying a 2nd hand burner phone just for the bike but too much faff for me.
The barn coming along great mate, so glad to see you doing so well, your a top bloke. Have a good weekend, see you in the next one.
Thanks for the kind words John. Yes I should have mentioned it’s the same guys who do the camera accessories. My own tripod is PD. Excellent quality.
I was gonna skip this video bc way too long - but great job explaining and what innovation by peak design! I miss my built in cradle from the GSA, and now need a solution for my new KTM SAS. This might fit the bill. Heck, I know my wife will want one too. (And I mean both a peak design case and her own KTM, ha). Thanks!
I use PD products with my cameras and they’re all brilliant. This looks to be another winner. I’m just wondering whether a thumper like the BMW G650GS might be too much for the dampener.
I own a 2003/4 Street Triple 765RS and would like to fit the stem mount. I'm concerned if it would provide enough clearance. The distance from the stem surface to the top yoke cover bit is 4cm. Is it long enough to fit and also have some vibration clearance?
Is the phone case shock resistance if you drop it ?
Great video! Thanks for all the info!
I believe the mag head is specifically designed for cad and home use and not for bikes :)
Correct
Hi mate I have the evotec quad lock screen mount on my Ducati 950s what do I need from you to charge it to the design peak system ? Thanks
Hi Steve, I was thinking of taking the satnav mount off of my 1200GS and replacing it with a quadlock. Can I do this with the peak design one as I don't really want anything on my bars?
They don’t make a wing mirror mount yet. I think that’s the kind of quadlock mount required to mount it on the nav bar as it’s quite thin isn’t it.
Currently there is no wing mirror mount from peak however based on the modification I did on my tiger, I’d imagine if I had the parts here I could easily create something using the bar mount and the quadlock mirror mount.
Some great design work gone into these products 😎
👍🏻 great product....i use before buying the bmw connected ride cradle the sp-connect system on bike, car and motorbike
Well I’ve had the quad lock since it came out had it on 3 phones but with the iPhone pro max the phone started to rotate back and forth a few degrees until it became so annoying when using my sat nav, I changed over to SP , that was ok for awhile until I noticed I didn’t quite lock both lugs in position and the case mounting started to bulge a little , both have been ok , but your demo vid has me convinced. So I’ll be sending an order in when I return from holiday , oh ps. My SP case has started to lose its coating the past couple of months. GAL
Was interested in one of the peak motorcycle mounts for my 2023 Honda Grom to use with my Samsung s10e phone. Any info helpful
Can you screw a Ram Ball to the Peak's mount?
The accessory bar on the Super Tenere is only 1/2", and the Peak only goes down to 7/8". So, I'll have to use the Ram's clamp for this to work.(I'm not putting it on my handlebars. It's too far below my field of vision)
I'm waiting for the wireless Peak charger, if I can mount it...
Any word on when they will be coming out with a wireless charging motorcycle mount?
Looks great Steve, well done! 👍👍
You say when you ride over a bump the peak lock will wobble to take out the vibration so is it going to wobble all the time with the road surface??
Have you got a case for Samsung galaxy s10 lite to fit the Handlebar Mount?
Switched from Quadlock to Peak Design since earlier this year. Pretty solid for my iPhone 12 Pro Max on two bikes (XSR900 and S1000R). I do mainly road riding and had no issues with it staying on or it damaging the phone cameras. Only issues I found is that they are quite pricey and you may need to get a smaller screen protector as the lip of the case will push on screen protectors that go all the way to the edges which will cause bubbling. Ironically though, the Quadlock screen protector fixes bubbling issues since it was an issue on their iPhone 12 cases. So far though, solid product!
We've seen good results with the Spigen brand of screen protectors and our (Peak Design) cases, FYI! Some other brands besides Spigen are a little bit too large and yes, they can have interference with the lip of many non-Apple cases.
@@maxm50 Hey thanks for the update! I upgraded this year to 14 Pro Max and now using the Spigen screen protector with the Peak Design case. I was worried at first but yes, it's a perfect fit! Great product! As far as some feedback since you're here, I had a few comments on my video and throughout social media about not having a charge mount for motorcycles. For me, it's not really a big deal since I live on a small island and iPhone Pro have good battery life so don't really need to charge but for other's it seems like it might be a deal breaker. Hopefully one is being developed!
@@5e11even Awesome! Glad the Spigen protector is working well for you. Yes, we are actively working on a wireless charging mount for motorcycles - it's definitely our most-requested product in the Moto lineup. It's not an easy problem to solve with our locking mechanism, but we're making great progress and we're confident that we'll be able to make it work!
Great vid! But you're actually not showing HOW you attached the Peak Design dampener part to the EvoTech mount... Could you clarify how you did that magic?
Stop thinking quadlock. It’s not a separate thing. Damper for quadlock is an after thought hence it’s a separate item.
@@ABIKETHING I think you didn't get my point. Sorry I wasn't clear. Starting 16m46, you say you were able to mount the head of the Peak Design motorcycle bar mount to the EvoTech smartphone mount by screwing it. Would you mind sharing more info on the process you went through or pics of what your DIY mount looks like? I was excited when you mentioned you would show how you did it and you got us closer to your DIY mount, but eventually you weren't explaining how you did it, but rather showing how the Peak Design magnet works :/
You mentioned a year ago there was a wireless charger comming, have you any updates regarding this?
Hi really interested in buying this for my bmw s1000 xr. What bracket would I
Need please . I have a phone 14 do u do a waterproof cover . Thanks in advance kind regards Adam 😊😊 great videos
XR ? Use the motorcycle handlebar mount. No water proof covers. Your iPhone is waterproof
The annoyance for me with Quadlock buying direct was the €10 shipping for each item. I had to change a few things, and later buy a second case for another phone, queue about €30 in various delivery charges for something that could easily be popped into the post. Loved the Peak Design camera mounts I used to have, but it's expensive to switch systems now from QL to PD.
That shipping issue always bugged me. I think it’s a cash grab.
I understand. Maybe hold out for when three wireless head charger comes from PD. Next year
I watched your video and it was a great review and I was sold until I priced it up..£137..quad lock £80..so I went with quad lock..if it had been around the same price I would have bought it..
I have a touring bike wanted to attach the mount on tank instead of handle bars. Do you have a secure flat mount
is there an accessory that would compare with a popsocket ?
I couldn't find one on the website
Hi Steve, all the things you said about Quad Lock i completely agree with. Trying to locate thr phone on the mount can be a real pain. I did see the Peak Design at ABR and was really impressed by thier range of accessories and more importantly the quality of thier products
Just Purchased. Have been using Rokform on my GS but my phone camera was damaged due to vibrations, so have been without a phone holder on my bike for a few months. See how it goes once it arrives in Australia, ...... along with the Evotech parts i also bought ....... and the bottle openers ..... and can't forget the sticker. 👍
Thank you, I’ve woken up this morning to a lot of orders to Australia this morning. Will ship Monday. My mate had rockform, same issue.
For the EvoTech install, are you sure you repurposed the dampener from the PD motorcycle bar mount? Or was it from the PD stem mount I truly don't understand how you could have mounted that on the Evotech motorbike mount in lieu of the Quad Lock mount. Could you please enlighten us some more?
Damper is integral on the peak design mount. You can remove it.
Very nice products! Is it possible to charge an Iphone an the Apple MagSafe charger with the Peak Design case on the phone ?? Thanks !
Yes, I use a mag safe charger when travelling and just drop my phone on it in the peak design case
Does the stem mount work on a bike with a hexagonal stem tube like the ninja 650?
Yes it will do but check the diameters first
Interesting product. QL will have to up their game now. I`ll wait for the toothbrush mount for early morning emergency group calls :)
Peakdesign doesn’t offer a mirror option :( can’t install it on my Beverly 350 scooter
Very interesting mate, thanks for the info! Hope they do go down the Wireless charging head route, but more than that I hope they do it properly! I've always had the Quadlock wireless charging head but they've never worked for Samsung phones, 3 generations now of both QL and Galaxy S phones and they failed to become fast charge compatible, so def room for a brand switch I think!!
They said it’s definitely coming. These guys seem to have a knack of making it right first time around so I have faith in the new wireless charger when it finally arrives
When you say your wireless charging head doesn't work do you mean it does not charge at all or do you mean it does not fast charge ? Mine with my s22 always charges every time but it does not fast charge infact its pretty slow charge but it does work every time
@@alpinab14 Doesn't fast charge and doesn't work as advertised - the phone slowly dying while on tour is exactly what you don't want, the charging head is meant to keep it charged not slow the discharge otherwise it's just a gimmick...which it is.
@@CCharlsburg yea i think your right , when i use my phone with gps and playing tunes connected to my cardo the charge is incredible slow and thats even on a small s22 but my mates massive iphone his phone being bigger and more power hungry his is the same as your , it takes a charge but its that slow a charge that it still ends up discharging , i think quadlock have had there time , once peak designs brings out there wireless charging head i think everyone with a quadlock will be heading over to peak designs to pick up there much nicer cases and mounts
Very good vid, very convincing, like to see them in the flesh. One thing I would like is a ability to add a flap to the case to cover the screen wren off the bike. May be it could slide in to the edge of the case. Hence I switch cases when not using the bike.
I have a display stand in my showroom. Please pop in and try it.
I was going to order from you as I found this brand from this video after trying the QuadLock but you don't have the case for the iPhone 15 Pro. I alway wirelessly charge my iPhone 15 Pro with MagSafe and the QuadLock case was too thick for it to charge. So I sent it back sadly. Order this system and hopefully it works as advertised. Thanks for the video!! During the checkout they asked where I had heard about the product and I listed your video and channel.
Good vid. I’ve just bought a Peak Design phone case, wallet and bike mount and it’s fabulous.
Love your videos
Unfortunately peak design and quadlock do not have cases for my phone so so I'll just have to upgrade phones.
I just got my 2022 Harley Davidson pan america special.
I was wanting to get lights for you can't wait for the video to come out.
And I was looking at exactly what you were putting on the Pan America but I was hoping it would tuck in inside the bar.
We do 2 bike specific mounts which aren’t here yet. The mounts on our PA are universal bar mounts. Use the bike and product type on our website filter. You’ll see the light mounts on there.
I wonder how much they paid you as I’ve never had an issue with quad lock in all the years I’ve used them
So the PD screw of the bike mount broke pretty quickly for me .. I love PD products and I thought I would recommend that to you some time but once it broke I held back.. I have their camera bags and I was an early supporter of the phone case. I bought the entire shabang and it’s a good case, all the other attachments have held on. Just that the screw broke and I can’t trust it any more to go on the bike.. 😢.. Just thought I would relay that feedback here.
Is there any wireless charging with this PD offering??
Very interesting video. Coincidently, today, I ordered my first ever Quadlock system for my 2022 r1250gs. I removed the ridiculous OEM sat nav cradle and will mount my Iphone 13 pro there. I plan to get the iphone 14 promax. So I'll need anther case in a month or so. None of the weaknesses you identified dissuade me.
Any feedback on your iphone 13 after 7 months? quad lock or peak? I have 1250 gsa and an iphone 13. THanks!
What about mirror mounts for the PD? I actually want to mount my phone on the satnav cradle of my 2013 GS. Thanks.
Yes this has been a popular question via email too. Nothing as of yet but maybe something they will consider. For now I know the quadlock mirror mount can be adapted to work with the PD.
Good to know, I am thinking about mounting a GPS minitablet under a custom fairing and there might be no room to twist the quadlock, this might be the fix when I get around to it.
Universal mount is the answer
I’m just going to put it out there, I don’t have any issues putting a quad lock on the mount. At all. My only issue is that the vibration dampener doesn’t dampen it enough for my iPhone. (I ride a DR, LOL) what would be REALLY good, is a mount that prevents destruction to iPhone cameras.
My fav part of the video is him trying to figure out how quad lock goes on and and locks in. Never had that problem. Maybe if you had extremely bad hand to eye coordination? Or advanced stage parkinson's?
Very interesting, thanks..
are you guys ready for Apple 14 ??
Mmhmm
Yes, it’s coming. I’m not allowed to share any info on it until authorised by Peak D
Look really good - didn’t get to the stand at abr as it was always busy when I was going past - the thing I’d miss the most and use all day is the belt clip so without one of those I wouldn’t switch from quadlock
Also I have a lot of their kit for multiple motorcycles, phones and bicycle and I’ve even their tripod too and a spare belt clip!
Will keep a close eye on PEAK DESIGN as I am about to buy the H2 SXSE+ (once moving over to and settling in Portugal), and might as well 'farkle' it up with different goodies this time round...
I have tried many "affixing" systems over the years, and have settled on Quad-Lock some years back given their ease of use and being secure.
One bike I have, a 2017 Ninja 1000SX, has an odd octagonal stem hole, so I am, currently, using a hybrid system consisting of
(1) Bob Telfer's "Telferizer" stem mount unit designed specifically for a 8-cornered hole,
(2) a RAM short arm, and on top of that
(3) Quad-Lock's dampener plus
(4) Quad-Lock's phone locking unit, added to
(5) a UNIVERSAL Quad-Lock unit stuck via 3M's VHB onto the back of a
(6) TUDIA phone case.
I know; over complicated, but it was necessitated due to (a) Kawasaki's damn odd-shaped octa stem hole ... and (b) using a BlackBerry Key2.
*Obvious Question: Do Peak Design's unit fit into octa-shaped hollow handlebar stem holes?* 😀
This is looking seriously good, designed for ease of use and secure, though higher priced than Quad-Lock: I see their products are purportedly "Guaranteed for life" too.
(Subscribed)
Lots of info. 2 fitting barrels on the stem mount. I’m sure it’ll fit. Send it back if it doesn’t.
For those who have a PD case, does it pull up the screen protector on your phone? that was my issue with quadlock and i don’t want to replace my screen protector, too.
and how sturdy does the PD case feel? currently in otterbox.
Case feels great. Lots of R&D has gone into their products so I expect the protection is very good. I don’t personally use a screen protector but it’s something that’s been mentioned to me by the Peak team regarding the case not catching on a screen protector.
Could you post a vid with the phone mounted, while riding on a rough road or adventure trail ? I would like to view shaking or possible sliding...
I’ve posted a fair vids on Instagram of this . Takes much longer to edit on CZcams
Wondering what your views are on the bmw ride cradle rather than using a nav, also curious to know if it has any damping built into it.
I have the cradle but too faffy to operate. Gloves off, phone case off and it’s still not that easy to get in there. No damper as far as I know.
Both the BMW GPS mount and the cradle have vibration damping elements.
Very nice work man From NY ❤️🏍️🇧🇬
i was interested until i found that they dont have the 1 inch ball for a ram mount which i have on my bike,, and they dont offer a case for the galaxy s9, so unfortunately as quadlock offer all the case and mount il have to go for that,, shame though as this product does look wicked..
On my GSA I removed the GPS cradle from the accessory bar and installed my Quadlock on there using their mirror mount. It all works very well and the only thing that gets in the way is the windscreen if I use the phone in portrait orientation, which I run it in landscape so I don't block any of the bikes dash. One of my friends uses Peak and loves it. One thing that keeps me with Quadlock is the wireless charging.
I completely get that but it will be coming next year
@@ABIKETHING good to hear. Competition is always a good thing.
No rain poncho? What about the price?
@@scottfhscottfh are you asking me?
Thank you for bringing a different option to the table for me other than quadlock. I do like the quadlock system and all the options but I've known about them for years and didn't want to pull the trigger. I knew about peak design because of their camera bags which I have been impressed by and had no idea they had these products available. I realize the wireless charger is a turnoff for people but I don't ride my motorcycle nor bicycle for more than 10hrs in one sitting, so I don't understand the point. If I really need to charge something it is a very simple setup(on my motorcycle, at least). Anyway, appreciate the extra option! I will be getting a case and a mount for both bikes!
Great mount just a pity they don't make anything for a samsung flip phone
You have to wait to sell all my Quad lock stuff (there are a lot) to go further with the Peak Design purchase😉
Do you know if there are any custom fees if I buy it from "A Bike Thing" to Germany?
I used to work at Camera House (a camera store here in Australia), Peak Design have been making camera straps and attachments for a long time but our Rep came in one day and he knew I was mad about bikes so he brought one of these in when they first launched so that he could show me. After having a look at it for a few minutes I was completely sold on it over my current QuadLock system, purely because I HATE having to try and hunt for the 45⁰ angle to get to QuadLock to mount up... The only reason I didn't get the Peak Design system then was they didn't make a case for my phone yet (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra). Yes I could have got a new case and used the universal mount to stick on the back but I just prefer having the proper case for things.
I'm about to switch over to iPhone 14 when they get announced next month and then I'll finally be switching over to the Peak Design mount as well 👌
Is there a wireless charger for the motorcycle mount ?
Looked at quadlock for my Sony experia 1 IV but they only do universal cases which I'm not keen on. Will there be peak design cases for Sony in the foreseeable future?
Honestly I’m not sure, the focus seems to be on the iPhone, Samsung and pixel
@@ABIKETHING thanks for the quick reply will keep an eye on the website 👍
I've got a Peak Design phone case (Pixel7 Pro) but I'm thinking about switching to Quad Lock so I can get a wireless charging head for my motorbike. Peak design don't offer that right?
Not yet but it's coming
The RAM Mount X Grip is awful, but I find their Quick Grip XL an amazing system. It stays super secure on my 701 Enduro during hard off road (and the many falls) and on my 1290 Super Duke R at high speeds. I find that all cases tend to become lose over time, so I'm not sure buying into a system that relies on the security of a case is the best idea...
You missed out one very important bit of information, how grippy are they to hold I find the Quad lock to be not that great for a non slip type of grip (gel like grip is the best)
What is the grip like when holding the phone in hand with PD covers ?

@@peterdering6602 I’ve only just seen this……so sorry, hope you didn’t feel ignored. I get so many message notifications it’s hard to keep up. Please, anytime you want to get in touch just email me steve@abikething.com or maybe we can exchange WhatsApp or something 👍
I’m so glad I came across this video I’ve looking for days to find something that’s as good as quid lock but what I want from quod was over £200
Blast just looking through what there is and still no wireless charging is it coming and will there be iPhone X cases?
Wondering if there is any way of attaching this product to the blanking plate of the gsa Sat nav mount?
Hi Eric, hmm that’s something im going to investigate
@@ABIKETHING thanks Steve appreciated 👍
I have the mag charger from quad lock on my motorcycle. All works great on the charger end waterproof cord. What issue I have is with the phone case rain poncho. Not waterproof. Better design should be offered. (Punkcase) phone case with mag mount incorporated would be a great design. Not all rides are in the dry. Does peak design have a wireless charger waterproof case in their lineup ? I didn't see that in your video.
Hi Steve, any ETA on the hex ezcan for Triumph?
Out of my hands. They don’t even hint when the release is even though I’m involved with the initial prototype testing it can still be a few months after. I can tell you I’ll have that prototype on my tiger this month but followed by a few weeks of testing.
@@ABIKETHING I've a 900 GT Pro that is begging for some D3s and a B6. Work quicker Steve! 😂
Can you compare the vibration dampener? Damage to the phone isn't the only concern... On very vibratey bikes readability is a concern.
Hi Steve, thank you very much for your channel. I love it. I am basically convinced of Peakdesign and I have also used Quadlock in all possible application scenarios to date. After your video, I also bought a Peakdesign case with my new phone.
Yesterday my motorbike holder from PD arrived. Unfortunately, I found out today that it doesn't fit. I may be spoiled as a BMW 1250GSA rider, because everything actually fits. Your video also contributed to the fact that I didn't even check it.
BUT: Unlike the holder from Quadlock, the one from PEAKDESIGN unfortunately does not fit on a current GSA. At least not in the middle of the handle. The holder is simply too small. And here too, Quadlock has chosen the better design. A screw on both sides allows room for manoeuvre during installation. PITY. Greetings Michael
Hope they make a finger ring attachment, I'm disabled and find it hard to hold my phone.
I know there's their case with the loop at the back, but I'd prefer a clip on attachment 👍🏼
Maybe I missed it but one thing to note for people is that if you have a galaxy note 22 ultra or any phone that you use a stylus on, the PD case will not work. Where the magnets are they interfere with the use of the stylus.
Can I put my Apple wallet on that case? Really the only thing holding me back as it has MagSafe charging.
when do you think you're getting the Pixel 6 cases?
Soon.
all used to work for apple. That explains why the cases all have a super slim stylish design that seems to offer minimal protection. Without a mirror mount it also becomes expensive and messy to mount to an adv nav bar.
