- Painting 3D Printed detail parts in HO Scale is not much different than painting cast metal detail parts - the biggest difference is the quality of the detail - it's much finer and crisper.

Spectacular. Thanks for share .

I totally love this lesson and of course the finish painting!! Lovely 🥰
Great technique for finishing the parts.
Great work!
I've never tried the oil color/mineral spirits washes. You've convinced me to try it. Great video.
Give it a try, makes a big difference.
Love the Archive X paints since they match the old MR colors
Looks cool
Fantastic how to video Doug, always exciting to see what you do and I always learn from it. Cheers Rob
Thanks Rob!
This is so great, thanks for making this one. Reminds me of your in-house workshops. GO if you can, the next time Doug announces one. they're fantastic. (Just don't take my spot.) 😃
Be sure to wear a respirator when filing down or cutting resin. The particles are super sharp - almost like volcanic ash. They'll really damage your lungs over time. Always vacuum resin debris to make sure things are kept safe for future work.
Nice techniques, love the idea of the clay to hold it. What is that blue grip tool the clay is on?
The link for the miniature holder is in description above: www.redgrasscreative.com/painting-handle/
One thing you didn't mention is that you should really be wearing a respirator due to the toxicity of the resin dust. You really don't want to breath that stuff in. Resin makes great minis/Props but there are safety concerns to be aware of.
Otherwise great Video.
Correct. We do include tips and safety info on our retail packaging for these items. But will mention in future videos.
