- PART 1:We're so excited to start this project! In this video I'll build a partial section of an HO scale structure and then ship it to my buddy, Jason Jensen. Then, he'll add more structure to it, ship it back to me, and then back and forth from Colorado to Connecticut, until it's done. None of it is designed or planned; each of us making up a section as we go, demonstrating our own styles of modeling and weathering techniques along the way. When it's complete, we'll auction it off for charity so you can get a chance to own a one of a kind model! Check Jason's CZcams Channel in a couple of weeks to see Part 2 and all of his modeling and How-To videos at Jason Jensen Trains: / @jasonjensentrains

Great idea for a show
Thank you doug! I think what you and Jason are doing is fantastic! Thank you! Lisa
New subscriber!
Just genius! I was wondering why did I ever build plastic models?
You can explain quickly and easily and it seems so easy;) Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Excellent, a master at work 👌😎 regards fred
Fantastic work, Doug! Really look forward to this collaboration and the final product. I'm sure it will be a gem!
Excellent video!
Great tips and techniques! Subbed and signed up for your newsletter on site.
I came over because Jason said something about your channel. You did not disappoint, Chris
Fantastic! I always pick up little techniques from watching you work. Looking forward to the auction.
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks, Doug. What a great idea you and Jason have cooked up. I love watching you work and make ordinary techniques outstanding.
Another great little video, Doug. Keep ‘em coming!
Love how you use sections of rail to square up the bracing.
Great idea Doug/Jasen.......looking forward to seeing where this goes......you guys kept me sane during the lockdown...... I got pretty good at this because of your videos....... thanks 👍😊😊
Looking forward to this project.
Great video Doug, thanks for posting it.
Very exciting and generous thing to be doing.
Hi Doug, Jason Jensen sent me over. Saw Part 2 prior to this but wanted to see how you got to some of those textures and this video did a good job of showing me those so a big thank you... ...and Jason too! LOL
I subscribed! ...keep them coming
That's one impressive little building. You made the design & assembly look like you might have done this before. ;v) I'll be watching Jason's channel for the follow up.
What a fun project! I'm looking forward to seeing the end!
Going to be another fine structure !
Really impressive. I am looking forward to watching you guys create something truly unique with this project. What a cool idea!
Fun idea, and I'll be following it along. But you guys are mailing it back and forth? This could take a while, lol.
Wow!! Mic drop. Awesome.
Just found your channel through this collab with Jason. Subscribing was a no-brainer; you do lovely work and the scene/layout at the end of the video looks amazing. There do seem to be similarities with Jason's modelling style and that's never going to be a bad thing.👍👌😁
That wee building looks great so far; a lot of folks would consider it finished now.😂 It should be interesting to see where it ends-up.
Apart from showcasing some excellent techniques, this video was nicely filmed, excellent, sharp, close-ups where necessary and your style makes everything seem "attainable"; not easy, there's some clever work in there, just kinda do-able. I'm looking forward to rummaging through your previous videos.👍
Cheers from Scotland,
Dougie.
Great work. Thanks for sharing it with us.
No blur either for me to watch.. interesting project with two interesting minds at work
This should be very interesting....
Sure wish FOS would dabble in the N scale realm. Nice weathering.
LOVE THIS IDEA!
Fantástico Parabéns!
Question for you Doug ... was that Mitreapel spray a CA accelerator? I’ve never heard of that brand.
Hey Doug! what u use on the top of you table, those cardboard sheets, where can i buy some
The burnt umber in a tube-was that oil or acrylic base? Thanks, great video.
Oil...sorry, should have mentioned. Oil always seems like a richer color than using acrylic.
Is that a #18 chisel blade that you are using to lift the clapboard?
I think it's a #11
Ha ha.... this is awesome
I have always wondered how you made these kits!
Which sw are you using? I just built a cnc with a 15w laser.
Auto CAD & Corel Draw
What did you use to glue the glazing to the window frame? Thanks!

You major the bottom with task board. What is task board and where. Do you buy it?
It's similar to matboard: www.dickblick.com/products/taskboards/
@@FosScaleModels thank you! And love your double sided tape idea!
WHAT BAND OF LASER DO YOU USED
Epilog, extremely reliable.
Video is extremly blurry...did it load right?
No problem on my end. Clear, even on full screen.
Looks good to me, Scott. Have your glasses on? LOL
@@CassidysWorkshop I've got Google Firewire and state of the art equipment....dude its blurry.
I don't know, seems ok to me. I can see the dirt under Doug's fingernails. Maybe it's the best I'm used to with my equipment.
