- After swapping in a ka24de into my 300zx, I remember a weak-point of a stock ka.. the infamous timing chain rattle!

@AndyKPOV buddy , most kitted cars didn't exist 10 years before fast and furious . Bodykits became mainstream early 2000s .
@@jordangarneau8817 no not at all. Kits have been around since the dawn of cars just about. And early drifting in the early 90's they definitely had kits. Touge racers back in the days had kits on the old rx-7's, ae86's, in fact my gt-4 came stock with a full kit. Early s12's and a lot of Hondas all had kits back in the late 80's and early 90's...

it's all about enjoying the passing of time, i love that.
There's a lower timing chain guide that is probably making the noise. You'd have to take the front cover off for that though. Another thing you can do is clean the timing chain tensioners and work them back and forth to make sure they're tensioning properly.
He knows ka's pretty well. The top guide is normally the one that goes bad. And it was a last minute fix the morning of the drift event he didn't plan on going to. But there's 3 guides and a tensioner. Good looks

There are black rubber grommets in s13 near the spare tire that fit perfectly into the the rear windshield wiper hole

Just went to my first drift event this weekend, I had such a blast. The drifting was amazing, so many cool builds, there was even someone with a 350Z that had a Turbo K20 swap. If you’re reading this, I would highly recommend checking out drift events around you if u haven’t

5:45 these aero mirrors are probably east bear, they're very common to put on other cars (ae86, s13, etc)
Check if the rear wiper has a fuse by its self and pull it out even if u take the rear wiper off it still has current from the switch when u hit it and if u forget to turn off the switch switch

Oh man good luck on finding that bomex kit. Pretty rare to come by. Im sure it's doable though.
Also which one are you getting, the bomex that kinda looks like the greddy kit (bowl shaped grille) or the bomex that kinda looks like the wings west kit (square/rectangle shaped grill)
Maaaan the Z bomex kit has been hard enough to find.. I don't think I'll get as lucky with the Gloria
I think my bomex kit is the more square version. The rear lip is the bulkier / lower option. I didn't notice if there was a difference with the skirts however 🤔

I deleted whole motor assembly for the rear wiper as well… hatch was much lighter afterwards.
I could be wrong but i believe that EK belongs to Djnoway ( on youtube ), he is friends with Jimmy Oakes ( the S13 coupe with the bright green wheels )
