- Before we know it, acquiring rare JDM body kits for our project cars will be near impossible. @DingDongDrift stopped by to help scan my 300zx Z32 along with the Bomex body kit, in hopes we can keep it alive. We decided to test out the scans in a 1/10 scale to fit the RC Drift cars. The quality is great for the initial test print. Looking forward to the R33 GTR / G33 wheels and veilside wheels next!

it was awesome to meet you finally, i can't believe it took us this long to realize we live 15 minutes apart lmao. People are not ready for the stuff we're gonna make.
You are an actual wizard.
For real man! This summer is going to be wild, I can already tell 🔥
Look forward to the finished product dude🤘
your creativity is out of this world
@@Dinguslordx thank you lol, i need a wizard hat now
the guy who crashed into your 300zx on the supra as a sticker is the coolest funniest thing
I had such a dumb smile throughout the whole video. 😆 Thanks for doing what you do, Mike!
god I love soarers, shoutout marty for printing that whole ass rear wideybody
thanks dude! the front is 3D printed as well! i'll be designing the bumpers on some live streams soon as well.
@@DingDongDrift fuck yeah dude i'll defo have a looksie
The sticker on the Supra had me rolling 🤣
"Why you need a chain for your tractor"
Brother, because we love our tractors hehe, went to highschool on a tractor when I was 16, that's just the life man!
20:48 some of you may recognize this guy 😂
💀
Nice
Thats the crash dummy
I model steel buildings, design connections, and engi-nerdy stuff like that. I also do a little hobby 3D printing, so this episode was pretty awesome for me. I need to get one of those handheld scanners. Techno Toy Tuning used to buy parts there for my 86 SR5 Corolla before I sold it back in time.
Nice rockauto stickers bro , my whole fridge door is covered. The clean kickflip over stairs with the nollie flip after 🔥
So glad to know things like this are happening. Regardless of your make and model, too many classic cars are slowly disappearing into oblivion. Keep these legends alive!
That's so cool! I've know about 3D Scanning and 3D Printing for a while, but using it for preserving the car culture is SICK. Cool video as always Mike!
Developer spray is used in the final step of an LPI (Liquid Penetrant Inspection). It soaks up the penetrant dye in the weld and highlights cracks and other defects in a weld. I actually try to avoid using LPI on aluminium weldments because the dye is such a low viscosity and aluminium is so porous that it makes the repair less than ideal.
See i was kinda right!
@@DingDongDrift Totally, just wanted to pass along some knowledge
You could get the wheels powder coated chrome, it looks very close to real chrome
This has been one of my favourite videos of yours. There is always time to learn something new! Thank you for collaborating with Ding Dong, I found his insta because of you, his soarer is so cool. Also how am I only just finding out you have multiple levels of CZcams membership. I want to give backto you as thanks for how much you give to the community.
I wasn't expecting an upload today but made my day better! Love the videos man keep it up!
Sick stuff. I'm really interested in the 3d scanning and printing. Sounds like if you have a model you can test different paint and decals for your car. I got other things I got to do first, but that's going to be on my mind for sure
Wheel soulutions in California does rechromes. The chemicals used in the stripping and plating process is illegal in most places except California, turn around times are slow but they come out nice!
Bro you two need to link up for sure so i can buy stuff from both of you. I would love to rock some Prizza Parts made by Ding Ding Drift. Cant wait to meet you brother Mike!
Love watching your videos, it brings me right to the 2000s era i didnt get to experience due to being in kindergarten haha all the skating and 90s car sruff and all that punk rock, amazing
Those 3D printed floors are hard af 🔥🔥🔥
those sc doors will save ur life in a wreck, honestly whole car in general, mine took tree at 70 and we're both still around to tell the story.
My dude 🤟🏾I can't wait to see you slide that beautiful z32 one day
I'm so hyped for the Gloria video❤️👌
Preservation and documentation is key! Props to doing it right
The developer spray is for penetrate testing. I do this for work. You use it to find cracks in welds. Youd clean the surface, speay red dye on, let it sit and soak in for 10 minutes, then you clean that off with a dry rag and sprat on the developer. Let that sit for 10 minutes and if there are cracks youll see the dye bleed out. I do this for work at the oil refineries
just made my day, 25 minutes of good entertainment, thanks dude!
nothin better than watching a new PrizzaMike video at the end of a long day. i cant thank you enough for what you do. keep being awesome!
As always. Great fun and interesting ! Thank you !
Perfect timing! Just sat down 😌🤙
Same lmao!
Love the outro video and song, caught myself playing Used to you while working on my 240. Thanks Mike for giving me the motivation to keep working on my project whenever I feel like giving up.
It's awesome that you're 3d scanning the parts to preserve them! I've been trying to save parts like that using photogrammetry since those 3d scanners are very unaffordable for most people, and photogrammetry can be a good alternative tho more difficult to do ofc. 3d printed car parts are definitely the future
absolutely amazing man! Love all of your uploads
I didn't know they have printable polyurethane now. 😮 Can finally say goodbye to fiberglass parts
Right! Absolute game changer
We've been using it for drone parts for years. It's weird to see how far behind the RC car guys are so I'm here to bring you guys up to speed!
@@DingDongDrift now if only the price of metal printing would come down. One can dream
You for sure need to do the scan on the fresh in the box from Nissan rear quarter for the s13. Big fan of th3 240zx. Hope to meet you someday Mike
Great idea!
Ding dong is the man!!
3D printing for car parts is so sick! I have Advan SA3Rs but I didn’t get the center nuts/disc/coin. My buddy 3d printed the discs and nuts for me. Another friend had a 3d printed Trueno grill for his ae86
This is such a cool thing. Absolutely loved this video. The 3D printing stuff is sweet!
That 3d printing and scanning stuff is awesomeeeee! I wish someone would 3d print a replacement set of windshield inner panels for the 240sx convertible because by now there are like none left or they are all cracked (mine included).
Ooh snap, being able to 3d scan and print stuff is gonna open up so many new possibilities!
Hell yeah Mike! Great progress during winter.
Omg its soo cool!! I cant wait the next video✨🤟❤️
Always love the mike skating clips, he's dope with it need some more.
Wow that’s enjoyable to watch good work
Awesome video bud!!!
If you had a 3D printer, essentially you could make multi size wide arch sets for any vehicle ! All you need is a few different arch size measurements and panel fit measurements, you'd make a absolute fortune with international availability for any style arch kit, like GTR arches, M3 Hartge arches etc
Amazing video!
Loved the skatesesh!
I really enjoy your videos. Your z32 build is very inspiring. Im pretty jealous with all the projects and fun you have throughout your videos
Cool tool box!!
Great, as always
its awsome that your preserving a piece of bomex history
WOOOOO big fan mike ready for the video my guy!!!!!
So sick to see you hanging out with Marty, need to see more sc content
I have a minature replica of my z that was 3d printed... its a really cool technology. Alot of z owners have taken advantage of it .... theres files to print a cupholder btw!
ALWAYS THE BEST VIDEOS. MIKE NEVER CHANGE BRO
Your vids have convinced me to try and get a ZX over a 350Z. I know it's heavier and not as good for drifting, but it just looks magical.
When you paint your 240 you should get some decals of the blue tape to do lists on the side cuz they are super iconic now! you could even put patreons on there instead.
Man it’d be so cool to have a scan of my car, and a scan of a 1/10 version of my car already scaled to fit a 1/10 rc drift chassis. Being able to print a full bomex kit for the RC body is so awesome
The parts/designs 3d printing is going to give us over the next few years is going to be awesome.
great video homie !
Perfect timing for a upload
Dude you make that look so f****** easy man you are awesome you're an awesome skater
Holy cow that's awesome a PizzaMike video in the middle of the week ..no way this is so cool . I to have been buying a Z
I just finished your last video! Hell yeah, back to back. Today is a good day 😂
Ain’t gon lie I love putting your vids on before I go to bed
Ask @DingDongDrift Marty to make a 3D model of the plastic clip that holds the fuel door cable at the right place to open/close the fuel door for the 240SX!!! I've been using a bolt to hold my fuel door shut for years.
Added to the list
Will do!
Was so happy to open youtube to see that you uploaded…on a WEDNESDAY!!
Man.. I know this isn't your usual flavor but I really need to do this for my C3 corvette! I have a set of custom front and rear fiberglass bumper conversions and the guy who made them has either retired and fell off of the face of the earth or passed away. I would love to get them 3d modeled to preserve them before I mount them! By the way, I only found your channel recently but loved watching the Z32 build! Looking forward to more!
bro's drinking kvass, was not ever expecting to see something as baltic as that in a prizzamike video xDDD
this is sooooo insane ❤️❤️
Can’t wait to see more progress on the 3D modeling stuff you and ding dong have got going on I think 3D printed body kits are going to be the new wave especially for situations like the bomex kit where you can’t buy them anymore
you have so nice friends and people around you, love these vibes, hell ya
Hell yeah KA24 + T it’s gonna be sick
I’ve been watching you videos for a few months, and you got me to love car and watching ppl build cars and got me into rc drifting. I love your videos ❤ ps do a rc vid
I wasn’t expecting a video today happy surprise
Ive been watching for awhile and all i gotta say it please keep going, you came way to far.
Yoo i saw that sc400 in person before the widebody and it was sickk
dude you’ve gotta live within an hour of me i’ve been to the asylum a few times and you went to rockford speedway which is my hometown track. i’ve been watching for a long time hoping to meet you some day, keep it up man❤
cant wait for the next 300zx video
i just bought a hardbody and i cannot wait for more ka content. very underrated engine
thats so awesome! Id love to scan my own car! I could 3D print a body for my RC car!
Dude his car is like so sick I love it man that thing is cool as s***
I've been waiting for someone to 3D scan the Hood cowl since they're very hard to find and really expensive to buy and I'm pretty good at 3D printing
You can also use athletes foot powder spray on your car to scan it. Washes off super easy.
Ka-t gonna go crazy
I Love the Korn T Shirt
I smiled like a idiot 24 min! Best content on youtube!
He came through with the skate clips! So sick
yoooo that a-bo-moon replica rc car is siiick, i need 1 hahah
Your videos are amazing you have inspired me so much…hopeful to collab someday
If you want to preserve body kits you would need someone who is really good at surface and organic modeling, they can easily make anything from thin air. These types of creators generally aren't familiar with turning their organic models into models a slicer (3D print software) or into a CAD model that you can then define its parameters. The moment more people are able to turn organic modeling into models that can be printed will be when there's no such thing as anything being "lost" you could create body kits from just reference pictures regardless of availability of the physical kit. This is finally going into the right direction, remember the purists who didn't even own a car telling you how 'bad' 3d printing JDM parts is? Glad we've finally matured to 'how about they just not existing at all and we need to fix that'.
If you're an organic modeler and you want to dabble into this type of stuff but don't own a 3D scanner, you can find video game files of cars that were professionally 3D scanned and use them as a base to work off of. Thanks for the upload Mike! Love your content.
Oooo imma watch this when i get home, currently at school 😅
3d printing is the future happy 3d printing is getting more light
Holy Jesus, I want to print a keyring like that! Never saw something similar.
we need full-size stickers of the one you have on the rc supra window!
Not a bad idea... I need to look up legalities first 😅
Go to some motorcycle shops. They may know someone that does chrome 0:42
Yo i like your content mike so interesting and also where did you get your Rc car and what Rc car it is i wanna look forward to get into Rc drifting
I want some of those floor molds …. That’s badazz
Dig the Korn shirt
weather was great today in northern il
