Se volete aiutarmi con I sottotitoli italiani, ecco il link: bit.ly/2ApuJhi | In an effort to cram all my thoughts into a 10 minute space, I of course forgot to say some things! What did I miss?? If you aren’t following me on instagram, you should go do that here: instagram.com/tiataylor.ita
+Saverio Venezia thanks❤️ fixed it :)
Tia Taylor you're welcome ☺
8:15 Maybe is better than to eat it and having decaying it in your body for days.
how does it work with subtitles?! i do understand anything you say and i d like to help u out;)
On a train in Torino I had a guy suddenly start talking to me in English. "You're not dressed like you're going to a funeral so I figured you're from America" was how he described it.
Please, please, DON'T WEAR FLIP-FLOPS in Italy. Please, i'm serious.
commento cose lmao. Really why?
Arielle Daley because Italians hate see flip flops in city,Idk why,but It's not a "shoe" in their opinion(my opinion too😂)
lol it's like going out wearing piajamas
BianchuFurioso blasfemia
I live in Bologna and here most of the girls wear the exact sneakers that you mentioned plus black jackets and skinny jeans.oh and most girls have their hair straight. I understand fashion but I don't get trends. What's the point of looking the same as everyone else on the street? Personally I prefer to have my own style and wear it with confidence. If people like it even better.
+Sarv oh yea blue jeans, sneakers, and a leather jacket for Italian girls are like the uggs, leggings and north face (is that still a thing?) for American girls 😂 it’s fun to be unique but I don’t think anyone wants to stick out like a sore thumb... I like picking up trends that I like and flatter my body but I also like dressing how I like. In the end I’m still refining my style but I’m trying to see if I can get a perfect mix of north east cost USA and milan put together 😈 we’ll see
yeah but if only there are different trends available to pick up from.Bologna is a student city as you know and you rarely see young people wearing classy or elegant clothes. It's more common among older generation.I guess students prefer something comfy and stylish at the same time so sneakers, jeans and jackets are the way to go apparently :D good luck with your looks :*
Tia Taylor that's still a thing lol but it's comfy when it's cold and you don't feel like getting dressed up.
Right! Here (we) are all the same
Sadly :(
I ' ve lived in Italy my whole life, I don' t pay much attention to how I dress and nobody never made me notice it. You can dress pretty much anyway you want, just don' t wear socks with sandals, italians make fun of notherers (especially Germans) for that.
@Yea bold h
Vero! XD
XD
Some Germans make fun About other germans cause of this also xD
In Greece we also make fun of sandals with socks ...it is just a big no no 😂
They didn't make you notice, but believe me, they noticed!
The Vans trend really makes me laugh, when I was in high school those were the sneakers only the "skater/emo/alternative" type of kids would wear and I went through at least two pair of them because I was trying to follow that trend. Fashion really comes around!
+Carmen Di Santi I’ve found that happen this year with my black timberland dupes. Everyone wore those when I was in middle school and now here they are again 😂
+Carmen Di Santi even though in the old days they wore the original color timberlands
Tia Taylor hahaha exactly! For me it's really funny but it shows how fashionable items and especially trending ones can live a short life but can come back very often. On this topic I really recommend watching Justine Leconte's videos, she says very interesting things about "the circle of fashion" and international fashion in general :)
You follow her too? I really like her videos about fashion and I loooove the French style. It looks so put together.
martying I do! I love how she explains with simplicity and how she always stresses out that you should always look for clothes that fit YOUR body type and that you can do it without sacrificing style and fashion :D
I taught a class of teenage Italian girls and nearly all of them turned up in a leather jacket and Addidas Stan Smith's. Also, ALL the old women in Spain are wearing the same fur coat...along with carrying a small dog haha
+Nancy Violet 😂😂 the mental images are hilarious but I mean that’s exactly how it is!
Stan Smith's are wassup. I love the nostalgia associated w them. I think they were actually the first leather/ plether tennis shoes made
I live in Rome and here it’s really big the “sportswear” trend. Everything that is Nike, Adidas, Champion, Puma, Emporio Armani, Ralph Lauren, The North Face etc... is considered very fashionable for both boys and girls. In this period there isn’t a sneaker of the year, I have seen a lot of different shoes of different types of brand (mostly Nike and Adidas). I can also say that there is the loose jeans trend but skinny jeans are still pretty big. The video was pretty accurate tho.
Cat like Dog and I was scare to take my north face jacket and Nike sneakers 👟 thanks for the tips
Unfortunately in Italy (or at least in the south where I used to live) EVERYBODY dresses the same. Same pair of jeans, same sneakers, same jackets, same hair color. I was always criticized in school for wearing something different. I was the only one in school to wear sandals while people where boiling their feet in tennis shoes because it was the trend. Everyone is so obsessed about looking like everyone else that is crazy. If you have a look on Saturday nights on the main street of my hometown everyone is dressed kinda similar. And it is depressing. I live in Australia now and I feel more relaxed here and I can express more my personal style. I still dress like an Italian because I was born in that environment but I add my personal twist
+Silvia Conforto ita true... less so in Milan but me and friend noticed it especially when we went to Puglia this summer... every body was wearing gladiator sandals...everyone!
Tia Taylor well I haven't been home last summer but in Sicily until two years ago everyone was still wearing sneakers in 40°C weather, it's crazy! And if you look at people in disco clubs they are all dressed the same. Well, at least when I grew up. Maybe when people get out of high school they start dressing differently. But yours were very good observations :)
I remember when I was considered different because I did not want to stick with the “trend” that was in at school (I live near Venice). But talking about sneakers worn at Summer time... a school friend of mine used to go to the beach wearing a pair of UGGs. lol
Sounds like the southern states of USA 😂😬
Two years ago I was in Rome, and there was an Italian tour group with just men. There were about 20 of them dressed EXACTLY the same. Blue shirt with rolled up sleeves, chinos, styled hair etc.
I live in Rome and I agree for the most part. Girls tend to wear addidas superstars with mum jeans layered with jumpers right now. Then on nights out pretty much every girl is in culottes and some kind of platform heel.
+Lara Harriette yep! Same in Milan for the evenings! And it sucks because I look terrible in culottes
You're a keen fashion observer. Definetely.
Well, the present sneakers obsessive fashion makes you see less boots around, but as you know better than me in Milan we like boots, either female and male, and not only the older ones.
+pile333 that is very true! Especially black boots that come up to the ankles 😂
In fact i wear them! Haha! I have also a 14 holes combat boots, in case of very cold weather, ice or snow! ^_^
I love them. So confortable in Winter.
I am italian but i know english
In Turin EVERYONE owns Dr Martens (we like to appear more "british" i guess..).
Celeste DB ayeeeee :-D
People always complain about flip flops. I live in Australia, and it's pretty common to see people not wearing shoes at all. I was on the bus another day and a teenage girl with her friend got off the bus with no shoes on, just bare feet. A bare foot hotspot is the servo (gas station).
I also live in Australia
I live in italy but I love wearing flip flops, they are just so comfy. :D
I think Australia is really cool tbh
Vito Corleone I live in a place where is always hot and I am used to hike mountains with bare feet and people freak out from other countries when they see me hahaha
You missed black Dr Martens!
you missed the north-face backpack hahahah
u must have seen it
+Elena true those are starting to sneak in as well omg 😂
Elena a scuola vedo solo quelli della north face oppure quelli della eastpack hahhahha
It's crazy how we all used to wear eastpak backpacks in the early 2000s and they are still a thing 15 years later. I feel that the north face and the fjallräven are increasing their market shares but man the eastpak is a tough cookie
Eastpack... and sunglasses
i am from sicily and i study fashion in london but moved to america for a bit! most girls do wear skinny jeans, maybe not extreme tight but most jeans are tight, some people do wear mom jeans, but i think sicilian fashion is different. red lipstick, dark makeup, a bit more vampy but still very italian.
i think you forgot to mention scarves and risvoltini which i see most americans don't do! for me the americans like things tighter but do not actually fit their body well (not size wise just poorly shaped clothes) and they do not finish the outfit with accessories.i think also modern american girls go for the "instagram baddie" look (ofc was HEAVY inspired by kim kardashian) and usually try to look a bit older than what they are, but theres nothing wrong with it just different styles. love this video 💖
don't copy london style it's not worth it
trust me
Ciao Tia!!
Clari Vero.
+Clari I see what you’re saying and it’s true :| I see skinnier girls go around all the time in very short shorts etc and the fashion here is definitely targeted at thinner figures... boh, idk if it’ll ever change though because it definitely seems cultural :/
Assolutamente vero!
I also feel like cheetah prints or animal prints in general are considered pretty "tacky" in Italy, whereas in the US they are considered quite fashionable
Animal prints are tacky everywhere in my opinion 😂
Uh! Tell that to Cavalli, Gucci, Dolce and Gabbana!
I got back from Italy a few weeks ago and definitely saw a lot of faux fur coats! And in very pretty blue and pink colors. I also noted the well fitting clothes. I feel like the fashion is very classic and well fitted and maybe with a little twist in the form of a unique detail. On the plane from JFK there was an older Italian man sitting in the same row as me. He was beautifully turned out with a very nice sweater and some really nice patterned socks and nice leather shoes. He was a senior citizen and looked fabulous (and adorable). I also feel the woman in Italy pay attention to their grooming! No matter which heair style they chose, it is always glossy and well kept and their skin is glowing with subtle but beautiful makeup... I love the Italian style!
In Italy you just need to use good taste (buongusto): the elegance of wearing what suits your body, what suits the occasion and what suits the fashion world around you.
Carmen Avoledo Can you recommend me and Italian fashion bloggers, youtubers, or Instagram accounts please?
Marley Barley like youtuber i recommend you Nadia Tempest. Love her style (i’m italian)
Tipo le converse.
Non hai parlato dei risvoltini
One thing i noticed here is nobody wears damn socks in winter! Like, it's february, it's 0 degrees, it's about to snow, but there's still girls going around in their vans or mocassins without long socks 😱😱😱 how is that possible girls, how can you not turn yourself into a block of ice? im italian too but always wondering how this can happen 😅
Panta Rei I think they prefer to look stylish and elegant I mean they don't care if it was cold outside as long as they were stylish
Your hair is extremely complimentary to your skin tone. Very pretty.
Idem
Stesso per me ahahahah
curious how vans used to be the losers' shoes and now everyone wants them because 'they're cool and alternative and I'm not like anyone else and I'm different' and blablablah
Chris M I always loved vanses,'till I was 11...Why they should be the losers shoes?😂
Chris M vans has always been trendy in California. I believe once big American musicians started to wear them, they became cool world wide. But I always wore them for comfort 😂
Vans look like old. grandma shoes though. 💀💯
Thats literally my little sister in a nut shell😹😹😹 she would make fun of me when I was scene and now she's trying to be edgy.
i think that skinny jeans are still quite in, i see a lot of girls wearing black ripped skinny jeans
+Alessia Merc I think black skinny jeans will never go out of style 🙌🏾
I’m from a smaller city near to Venice (Vicenza) and oh my god DR MARTENS everywhere, especially in 2015/6 but I still see them from time to time 👢
Wow you're one of the few not Italian people on youtube that talks about Italian culture and actually says true things! I'm Italian and I really enjoy your videos! :)
You are completely right, I'm English but I've lived in Italy most of my life but I've just taken it as a challenge so I've been walking around in my bright red coat or my mustard yellow one! Lots of stares but I like being original 😊
I would also say vintage isn’t popular in Milan whereas London and New York it has been for a while. I think vintage does actually add to both these cities being more eclectic and fun with fashion. They still look great in Milan, just more conservative. Half my wardrobe now is saved for when I go back to visit London because Milan just wouldn’t get it. I think Milan fashion is quite similar to the Scandinavians and Paris, classic styles and fits that don’t really date :)
Rachey T back then when we were still in asia and i loved vintage style coz it gives a story to the look, my Milanese bf always made fun of me for looking like his grandma... 🙄
Rachey T definetely agree, here in italy vintage is still commonly seen as "you're wearing someone elses old clothes" or "too poor to afford normal clothes"; i personally love vintage, it makes your style different and completely unique :)
Ashley Cheng You would have been really cool in London 😎
Panta Rei It is really exciting to own a dress or bag that only you have and I think you keep those things longer and treasure them. I do think a lot of Italians think it is ‘schifo’ 😂 (I don’t know if I spelt it right, but I’ve heard it a lot in Italy) 🤣
I have the same style, I just love it and as an Italian honestly I don't care if it's not fashionable. You should just wear it in Milan if you feel like to, not save your wardrobe for other destinations :) Anyway being Italian and loving this style can be defficult, as it's not that easy to find cute stuff. I found a little shop in Venice that sells vintage clothes and they're all imported from the UK or Germany. And speaking of Germany.. I've lived there for a while and there people just dress how they want, they're not as attentive to fashion as we are, and I think it's better that way. That's why I found many favourite pieces of my wardrobe in Germany, especially in flea markets :)
When you said that Americans don't really have a fashion sense, first thing that came to my mind was "Carrie Bradshaw would totally disagree" 😂😂 nice video!
I'm definitely one of those people that have searched "how to dress like an Italian" many times before hahahah so thank you so much for this!! Now I know for when I return!!
+Charisse Dunkley ahah I did too girl, I DID TOO 😂
Charisse did you search it because you live in Italy?
What will always make you look like an Italian? SUNGLASSES (preferably Ray-ban), all year, all kinds of weather 😁
+TropicalAnanas yessss😎
I love that you made this video. This helped me to see how we perceive one another based off of what we wear. I've been to Italy twice and wish I saw this before haha - I had no idea what to bring
"The Midwest has their own fashion...kind of" - you totally cracked me up on that one, because I know EXACTLY what you mean! Loved this video - it was very interesting to hear about Italian style!
We have a saying here in Italy: "eat with your own taste, dress with other people's taste" (Mangia a gusto tuo, vesti a gusto degli altri) 😅 emblematic
This video cracks me up because as an Italian-American who has all her family in Italy I’m sitting here as you’re talking about each style and I’m just like “yup my cousins wear that” “yup I remember the converse trend my cousins wear them all the time” and stuff like that!
Totally spot on! 😂😂
THIS IS JUST SO TRUE! I just returned from Italy and I spotted all of these trends since day 1! The tennis, jeans, leather jacket, pants... they also like to use new t-shirts with big logos like the adidas one, etc...
This is interesting. I live on a college campus on the east coast and all I see are sneakers and they are always Nike. Remember free runs, roshes, and huaraches? Also I’d get a ton of looks bc I hate closed toed shoes, love thick black leggings, wear riding boots in the winter(rain, snow, and cold all in one shoe), and I looks like a rainbow threw up on me (that includes my makeup) 😆 Fun/comfort over fashion any day 😊
Guurl. Im from milan and the cleavage? So true. I love showing clevage and i get the worst looks.
+nekorin yep 🙃🙃🙃
Eleonora Harris beh.
When I was in highschool we showed a lot of cleverage here in Italy, more than what girls show today. I miss that: boobs, bellies, colorful male underwear... Damn those strange but fun times. Today everyone dress like their home is flooded
Grazieeeee 🎡
Interesting video! Can you do another video but for men fashion? Maybe invite Enrico to give his opinion?
Sadly here in Italy you have to dress in a certain way or you get lots of stares and this is so boring, I feel like in America that doesn’t happen as often it happens here. Italy is such a judgemental place.
Mai seguito mode io, e sono ancora viva eh.
I’m moving to Milan in October and that was so helpful! Thank you so so so much! :*
I just really love your videos!! I'm really interested in these comparisons between two differents cultures like the American and the Italian ones. Carry on this way, I love these kind of videos and you're fantastic!!❤❤Then I like the way you're adapting to the Italian culture and you talk about it.
Wow my style would totally fit in with Milan. I pretty much wear black, I love my sneakers and absolutely love faux fur jackets, however it seems faux fur isn't liked in the uk.
Ari Dari faux fur is extremely popular in UK...in fact is more common to find people wear natural fur coats or fur on their hoodies in NY and Milan!
I am loving your videos!! My dream for a long time has been to move to Italy one day and your videos are really great!!
"look up and down and then away" :D brilliantly described :D
How many times did she make the air quote gesture per video?? Kind of Freudian slip...
Parkas are a bit outdated I think 😱 as an Italian student, I don't see them that much anymore. The fur thing is going to take off everywhere, but parkas with coloured fur is quite ugly imho xD
+Chiara :D I saw them in like every store this winter 😂 I don’t like them with colored fur but neutral I love😂 they’re so warm!!
Chiara :D Are you sure? Almost everyone I know has a parka! The classic neutral, not strange colours!
Ciao Tia! Complimenti for your videos and your insight on all things Italian (especially Italian protean fashion). Also, always be proud of yourself no matter what. Brava!
Leaving for a week in Rome in a few days, so I saw this at the perfect time. Very helpful, and as a third gen Italian in America, I definitely agree that classic structured pieces in neutral colors are very much the way to go if you want to look Italian!
After this video, I realised I'm not Italian, lol. Maybe that's why I don't feel comfortable with what I wear when I'm in Italy, while I have no problems in UK.
+Reverie89 😂😂
Same here
But why following trends in the first place.? I was born and grew up in Italy and lived in New York.. Always wore whatever I personally liked, whether or not it applied to the local trend. I wish everyone did a bit more their own thing.
I loveee your hair!
I am going to Italy in June and I was just thinking about this!! Thank you so much for always filming relatable content! #mindreader
nice video Tia! You forgot Dr Martens and trench coats!!!
Why all young girls in Europe have long straight hair, why?!
+pile333 another thing I noted and only recently stopped trying to emulate 😂
because we are obbsesed (?) with straight hair and curly hairs (in Italian girls) are considered ugly, unfourtunatly
jbonney Yes but I meant thick curly hair
I think because straight hair is more common. I have really straight hair, and I know very few italian people with curly hair
hi I have curly hair and many friends with curly hair
Video sempre molto interessanti, Grande Tia❤
The key to Italian fashion is to be elegant. And......dress your age.
How to dress like an Italian travelling to London: down feather jacket and Hogan shoes - any season 😂 Scusa non ho resistito, ma mi fa troppo ridere che qui a Londra gli Italiani in vacanza li noti a distanza dall'onnipresente piumino :)) E lo facevo anche io quando visitavo Londra da turista!
E gli occhiali....
Parere da Roma:
1) Mai e poi mai quelle scarpe orride. Sempre e solo VANS 😂
3) sono "curvy", molto a clessidra insomma, ma vesto con jeggins o leggins che abbracciano le forme (mai messi i mom jeans o robe simili perché - per mio gusto personale- mi sembra che mi facciano sembrare più larga);
3) per le giacche é vero, quelle di pelle (o eco-pelle, meglio) sono sempre da tenere nell'armadio, perché piacciono;
Mini leather backpacks are super trendy here in Southern Italy. Yes sneakers... either white sneakers or light pastel colours. Saucony or New Balance branded sneakers are huge here. I live near Puglias beaches so here there are huge beach trends too. That's another video you could do if you visit the beach this summer. Blow up flamingos and unicorn inflatables, swimming costume and beach cover up trends here are very interesting and fun.
Im living in Italy and I love wearing bright colours. My favourite colours are Red White and Green (like the Italian flag) 🇮🇹
Thank u mother I really need this I’m so busted every time I visit :((((
haha same lmao
Typical "foreign in Rome" style: socks with open sandals - roman empire style dress - large straw hat xD
yes people please, stop wearing socks and sandals T_T
Eewwww, I don’t understand sandal and socks😫
Silvia Dante I used to wear socks with sandals...when I was 7...😁😁😁
xD
im italian, and believe me, we don't wear socks and sandals together
In Verona I noticed a ton of fitted but loose slacks as well, primarily in black, that ended around midway up the calf (almost like the mom jeans fit) and longer ankle socks that complimented the shoes that they were wearing
No efs given...love it girl you do you because you slay❤
You remind me so much of Michaela in 'how to get away with murder'.
+Natasha Lubega I’ve been getting this a lot lately...she cute...so I’ll take it 😂
You sound similar to her. I find her really smart in the series. And you're smart too.
PS I love your videos. I watch them all. Even the ones in Italian.
Love from Tanzania
I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT. THIS IS SO ON POINT 😂😂😂😂 even their voices sound similar
Season 4 is gonna end 😭😭😭
Oh my god, I don't think they look a lot alike, but there's a resemblance and now I can't unsee it!
I guess that Italian and French styles are the same. In France, at least in Paris where i live, we're not really into bright colors: everyone wears blue, black, grey or white..Our style isn't extravagant at all, it's pretty elegant. French fashion wiĺl never be outdated, i guess it's because we wear "classic" things (idk how to explain lol). But teen fashion..oh god. Basically it's: sneakers (we had a Stan Smith era) leather jackets, long straight hair..that's all. It's very similar to Italy. Personnally i wear black skinny jeans everyday, with my converses (sounds emo af lmao) and i like all these rock/grunge/gothic trends that we rarely see in France
I'm italian and I never cared about fashion. I always dressed the way I wanted and I both liked and felt comfortable. Also, for the hair, I have natural curly hair that can't be straighten. It doesn't matter what I do, after 5 minutes, they're back curly.
Thank you so much for sharing this I am coming to Milan next year and these videos have been very insightful. I am surprised to hear about the colours are more muted in Milan. That I find is surprising.
Loved this video Tia! I feel like a lot of these tips for looking more italian apply to looking more 'european' in general.. Looser fits, neutral colors, faux fur - and NO flip flops! Ahahah way to go girl, you're a great observer indeed!
It’s interesting to watch this as an American from nyc because so many people care about fashion here and it’s one of the fashion capitals so it’s cool to see another perspective and think outside of my city.
west coast is definitely known for colorful fashion
+Ashley Davis that’s true, there’s Hollywood and they’re definitely not dressing in full black 🤔although when I think of west coast style in general I think of jeans, browns and active wear 😅 oh lots of active wear everywhere in America (I miss that)
What's the sneaker this year ? (2019)
Jun Glo I wanna know too
I liked the video the moment you showed Vans.. omg love those
I'm Italian and I totally agree about the trends you talked about. I would say that crop tops are actually a big thing such as high wasted pants in general. We also have a trend with bags, Michael Kors's bags are a big thing these days. I don't feel like we tend to show less skin than in America. I used to live in Wisconsin (where the sense of fashion does NOT exist) and I used to show off more skin than other girls my age. Stan Smith and Superstars are a thing such as Vans. Leather jacket are a must-have in an italian closet. Talking about colors: I always wear black/dark colors but it's my personal style. My friends sometines wear brighter colors but mostly to accessorise. For example, if you are wearing a total black outfit you can decide to wear a red Valentino bag with coordinated shoes.
I should add that we also have different trends for hair cut.
Not very impressed with the Italian fashion. The shoes like Vans and Nike’s are always here in the US so I don’t see much of a difference. American culture is very influential and I feel like Italy has some of it. I might want a combo of US and Italy. Blue Nike sandals with gray Nike socks are my favorite. Boat shoes with socks and shorts with a button shirt is great.
Dang, I wish you made this before I came to study abroad this semester 😂😅
+Amelia Vasquez girl 😂😂😭 I went a whole year before I realized that fashion changes region by region, oh well, you’ll still go home with an Italian fashion sense ;)
I've just moved to Italy recently and this is all stuff I've realised!
This video came at a perfect time! I'm going to Italy in a month and I DONT want to look like an oddly dressed Aussie!
No 🙃
Who else is still watching this in 2020 lockdown moments?
Ciao Tia!
I am older than you and live in Vicenza. I am SO happy when Italians ask me a question and realize I am not Italian. I have sold my (American-China made) bike and have bought a older Italian made one, that probably helps.
+baekhyunnie's hips 🤦🏾♀️😂😂
baekhyunnie's hips 😂😂😂😂😂
Accessories especially the HUGE sunglasses hahaha 🇮🇹❤️
Hey Tia! I’m a New Yorker & some of the trends that you mentioned that are staples in Milan are on trend this season as well. Like the vans sneakers are everywhere this year & faux fur takeover.
Actually I'm from the south and we still wear dark colours, but I guess it depends on the age of the people you're talking about, but dark colours are the most used here as well.
And I think one of the most important things is never wear leggings and boots together. Never ever ever.
I just stumbled onto this video and totally agree. My fiance and I went to Rome in Oct 2017 and we stayed in a non-touristy area. Lets just say we stuck out like sore thumbs when we went to dinner in the clothes we wore for our flight in. I wore active wear and my man was just t-shirt and jeans. The locals were dressed for fall!!! Like it wasn't even cold enough for a leather jacket but the women wore them. That's what I really noticed though, they dressed for the season, not the weather. Needless to say I ended up buying a faux leather jacket while visiting La Spezia and totally felt like I fit in for once lol.
Just to add something about colours, I find that in general it's true that in Italy we're aren't really "out there" when it comes to them and we prefer to stick to something more subdued, but it's more about how we do wear bright colours than not wearing them at all.
The general rule about colours, especially bright ones, is that it's usually considered better to only conbine two of them in your outfit (one being the bright one, the other usually being something more "neutral" like black, beige, white or grey), rather than mix a lot of colours in one single outfit. This of course isn't always true and a lot depends on the type of outfit you're wearing, but in general we just find more fashionable to avoid mixing up a lot of bright colours, and to only focus on one of them as a "point" in your attire.
This is especially true for fall/winter fashion, whereas spring/summer fashion tends to incorporate a lot more variety in colours.
