  • In this video I use my new Kubota LX2610 tractor for the very first time. I try out a simple task of scraping garden soil off gravel and making into a pile. I will be using the soil in a later video for the expansion of my vegetable garden.

    Spending time outdoors doing projects with various machines and tools - anything from cutting trees, firewood, clearing brush, milling wood, plowing snow, reviewing, repairing & fabricating equipment. Doing landscaping and maintenance on my forested property using my Kubota tractor.
    And its not all work!! Gotta take time to play - after turning my pond into a skating rink, and a whole bunch more of outdoor activities.

    I'm late to the party but congratulations on your tractor. I'm in suburbia, so I don't have a need for one but everyone I know that has a Kubota loves them. Looks like a great machine.

      Thanks, I have to laugh because when I parked the tractor in the garage for the 1st time I could smell that fresh new rubber tire odor and thought to myself just that, "nothing like that new tractor smell"
      Thanks for watching and have a great weekend as well!

    You set your leveling indicator right in the center of the arch on the guide... Put your bucket level on the ground get out and look may have to adjust your bucket with the joystick till you get perfectly level where you want loosen the jam nut on the leveler indicator and get it to where the curb sits right on the indicator guide

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem +1

      The dealer had set the level indicator. I shall adjust it as you described. Thanks for the for the tip.

    New to the channel here. Good job shaving the dirt off the gravel. When you dumped it there I was thinking bad idea but you saved it. Also have you thought about adding some ballast and loading rear tires. You will see improvement in traction.

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem +1

      Welcome to the channel and thanks for the compliment. I do have the rear tires loaded. You are right that it provides better traction. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

    I’m looking to trade my BX in on a LX2610 or a B2601. I think the b2601 would be a little more nimble. Did you consider the b2601 when purchasing?

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, I actually looked at the B2601 first. But the lift capacity, the tractor width for stability, overall weight and ground clearance was not significant enough between the BX and the B2601. And for the price difference between the the B2601 and lx2610 the LX made more sense to me being a better upgrade for my needs.

  • @meadsoutdooradventures

    Congrats on the new tractor! Did you get your rear tires filled? That and an attachment on the back would help with loader work. Enjoy!

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před 2 lety

      Thank you! Yes the rear tires are filled. I will be adding some type of ballast on the back, just haven't decided on what. Thanks for watching.

    What was your first impression? Is the difference between the BX and LX massive when it comes to capacity and power from your experience so far?

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před 2 lety +1

      My 1st impression was that the LX is so much bigger. The power and capacity is noticeably more using the LX, but I would not say massively. With the BX I was able to twist, turn and get into tighter areas much easier. I was very reluctant to sell my BX because of how great of a machine it was. You can do just about anything a larger tractor can do, it just takes a little longer because of it being smaller. If I could have afforded to keep the BX I most certainly would have. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

      The LX will blow a BX away

    Do you feel that the 2610 is under-powered at all?

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem +1

      For 95% of what I do it has plenty of power. There is always that rare occasion that a little more power would benefit. I think that you would have that small % of time no matter what tractor you have.

    • @SNeal5966
      @SNeal5966 Před rokem

      @@JelenOutDoors What about heavy loader use? Does the 2610 push into a dirt pile and effectively pull a full bucket of dirt?

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem

      @@SNeal5966 It does a decent job. You do need to use proper technique when scooping but then that applies to all tractors.
