  • In this video I introduce my new Kubota LX2610 tractor, provide some initial thoughts, why I upgraded to the LX2610 and some of the difference between the Kubota BX tractor that I had for 6 years.

    Spending time outdoors doing projects with various machines and tools - anything from cutting trees, firewood, clearing brush, milling wood, plowing snow, reviewing, repairing & fabricating equipment. Doing landscaping and maintenance on my forested property using my Kubota tractor.
    And its not all work!! Gotta take time to play - after turning my pond into a skating rink, and a whole bunch more of outdoor activities.

    Doing the same......my bx23s was a WORK HORSE, Really dont want to get rid of it but cant justify keeping it. Im hoping I'll have the same great experiences or even better with my new lx2620. Fingers crossed. The lx has big shoes to fill.
    Great video, thanks.

      Awesome, I hope you really enjoy your new lx2620. The bx is a real workhorse and I miss mine. I had a backhoe on my bx and I regret not getting the backhoe when I bought my lx. HAPPY TRACTORING!

    I have a LX3310 and bought a backhoe with it! One thing that I found is when I was digging with the loader in my rocky compacted soil was so hard that all I could do with the loader was shave dirt off and when I did get loader in and try to lift I found the loader was flexing so bad that I was always afraid I was going to bend it so I was grateful I had the backhoe! So I found it was much better to dig the dirt with the backhoe and scoop it up with the loader!

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem +1

      Brad, I find that the loader arms do flex a lot if your not square, I was surprised and a little disappointed. When I had my previous tractor with the backhoe I alwaysed loosened the dirt with the backhoe first as you are doing, it definitely works better. I am disappointed that I didn't buy the backhoe at the same time I got this LX2610. Happy tractoring with the LX3310 and that backhoe I wish I had!

    Thanks for the video. I'm upgrading from a BX as well, not sure when Hardington's will have my new LX2610 in, hopefully soon. But nice to see it up close and kind of getting a virtual feel for it. I ordered the grapple and pallet forks as well. After seeing the video of the canopy, I might consider that as well. Cheerz

      You are upgrading, awesome. You are going to love the Lx2610 but miss the BX at the same time. I have the Landpride grapple as well. Best front end attachment in my opinion. I don't have forks since it would be very seldom that I would use them. I am really happy with the canopy. I have also put a new video on installing work lights and they are pretty darn sweet. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new tractor and implements when you get them.

    I have a LX2610 as well and I think you will love the upgrade from the BX. In my opinion you were smart not to get the backhoe. Rent a mini excavator when needed and use your savings on other attachments that you can regularly use. I'd suggest a plow or snow pusher depending on how much snow you get I your area.

      @JelenOutDoors  Před 2 lety +1

      I am enjoying the upgrade. Great idea on renting a mini excavator, I have used a few of them in the past and they definitely can do a lot more in a shorter period of time than a backhoe. And, you are right that it would provide more funds for other attachments. Thanks for watching!

    Kubota makes some dandy mini excavators.

    I believe there are 2 options for the backhoe, you need to get a sub frame kit and you can have the seat swivel like your BX. Or you could buy the other one like you said in the video I prefer the swivel seat.

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před rokem

      Definitely the sub frame kit is much better than the 3 point hitch style. Having the swivel seat configuration would be preferable since it would allow for a shorter overall length of tractor and backhoe configuration. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

    Hello. Thx for the video.
    I am also upgrading from bx25 for bigger... an lx2600 or l3301, not sure yet. I do 100 % of my work in a maple syrup small opetation. So this is a bush tractor. With my bx, i use the backhoe more than all my implements. It will pay for itself, rental is 350.00 per day plus tax plus delivery... using a contractor with his backhoe is 250.00 per hour. In my case backhoe is a must. Anything else you would suggest for a 'bush tractor'. Thx

    • @JelenOutDoors
      @JelenOutDoors  Před 2 lety +1

      You will enjoy the upgrade and miss the BX at the same time. Yum, mapple syrup, love the stuff. You are right about the backhoe on it paying for itself if you use it a lot. And you have it when you need it. I know on my BX the backhoe paid for itself. I do regret not getting the backhoe when I bought my LX. I would suggest a grapple to move logs and brush. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
