My dog will tend to run around whenever I mow my lawn. But the work you put into your lawn made it look professional.

Nice looking yard! Great work. I am considering that same mower and was wondering what you thought between it and that EGO 21" self propelled? Would you consider that for your lawn if you didn't have the Timemaster? Thanks
To be completely honest with you I have a 21 inch mower as well and it feels like a toy compared to the timemaster. Some people love the smaller mowers and they function as well, but I wouldn't want to go back to one full time if I had a choice. Just my opinion.
That Hitachi blower will be the best blower you'll ever use. I've had mine for 2 years and it's awesome. I do only use trufuel in mine.
So far so good with it. For the price, I would agree it is a great blower.
+ryanknorr the one issue I did have that several others did as well, is the nut on the fan came loose. it had no lactate on out, but it was an easy fix. just something to be mindful of.
Good advice. I'll make sure to watch for it.

Looks great! Love the content! Jut purchased my time master. Curious, how many times did you have to empty the bag in this video? Can you tell when it’s ready to be emptied or do you keep checking? Love how you showed us your mowing patterns and you have an awesome dog lol

how much time do you think the 30inch cut saves you over a regular 21inch mower? thinking about getting this mower for a 1/4 acre lot.
I can't remember exactly what they said the time difference is but it's definitely a noticeable difference. I should do a video and time myself!
If you have a reasonably flat property with few obstacles that the handle will force you up against when turning the timemaster saves you enough time to be 100% worth it.
I replaced all my 21" trim mowers with these machines for a while. I live in Western PA though, many hills, so inevitably I had to throw a few 21's back on the trailer.
how many inches do you adjust your lawn mower to?

How do you like your Toro Timemaster? I am thinking about purchasing one. I had thought that I was going to purchase a ZTR, but I really do like push mowers, there is just something about using a push that is very cathartic.
I didn't see a review of your mower, I know you talk about your other equipment, but was curious if you could do a video on your mower? or maybe some comments here would be easier for you lol.

A review of the mower has been on my to do list for a while. It's just a big project to get all of my thoughts down and record the videos. I will get it done though.
In the meantime, I like the mower. My yard is a little over a 1/3 of an acre and it does fine for that. It honestly does cut down on time a lot from a standard size push mower. I have had a couple issues with it but nothing major and all was fixed under warranty. It has a 3 year warranty so if you have a toro shop close, that's important for any warranty work that might need to be done. I've found it bags and does side discharge very well. My grass is thick and it can not handle mulching. Just too big of a deck and not enough motor power to chop through all of that. I have mowed some yards with thinner grass and it can handle mulching then if you're not taking off too much grass but still overall, best cut is side discharge or bagging.
Lastly, troy bilt and craftsman have a 28" mower out like this now (they're made by the same company i think so just different brand name on the side) but I have heard good things. It has a 223cc motor on it instead of the 190cc on the timemaster. Price is also a little lower than the timemaster. It might be worth a look! Let me know if you have additional questions.

My grass isn't crazy thick. It's centipede / palisades zoysia mix in the front. And St Augustine / crappy weeds in the back because of the dogs.

What brand of 2 stroke oil do you use?
I believe it's just the SuperTech stuff from Walmart
I've been using Opti-2 since this year. People talk about it like its the best oil out there, so I decided to try it. Great results so far. Where are you located? I'm in Chicago, so you must not be too far away since you have the grass types we use here.
Iowa in the Des Moines area. I've been using "the cheap stuff" pretty much ever since I started doing lawn stuff and so far my 8 year old walmart trimmer is still going strong...haha
No lawn stripping kit for it yet?
I tried one shortly after I bought it that was a roller style attached to the back. It added a decent amount of weight that I didn't like and I like the freedom to back up easily and it kind of hindered that. Luckily as you can see, it stripes very well on its own.
How do you get the lawn stripes?
It's basically created by reflection of light on the grass depending on how the grass was "bent" when you go over it with the mower. This is tall thick grass so when the mower goes over it then the grass lays down in the direction you are moving and makes it either lighter or darker.
SwagSubscriber I took a piece of 1/2" steel rebar and jammed it thru the "tube" on the bottom of the molded flap at the back of my pos Troy Bilt mower. Does a fairly decent job striping for what it is.

front yard is perennial rye, tall fescue, Kentucky bluegrass mix and back yard area is 100% Kentucky bluegrass

+Darius E not really. it was rye and bluegrass mix when I moved in but a lawn care company overseeded one time and it must have been fescue because it showed up all over the place after that.

I see you have a dog. Do you ever have problem with yellow pee spots?
Not too much. Our dogs are small so that helps but our male usually goes in the same spots each morning near our house and that area is dead. Luckily it's in an area that you don't see much. The only thing you can do is train them to go in a certain area or you have to pour water on the spot that they go each time, and that can get to be a lot of work.
