Excellent video, I fixed the proplem confidently after watching your video. Peace buddy and special thanks for your Sincerity and serving the huminity.
Maaaan, when I started this video, I thought I was looking at the side of MY house!! I need to perform the exact same repair! Thanks for this walkthrough!!
I replaced everything in the valve including the check and all orings. Water still gushes out the top. Any guesses as to what it could be? I’m close to just buying a whole new PVB, but Im itching to know why a new set of internals isn’t working
It is possible that there is a down stream leak. Try this close the second handle open only the bottom handle now just open the 2nd one a tiny bit until the water stops flowing or you find a leak
Close the downstream valve open the bottom valve slowly open the upstream valve it should stay sealed and pressurize. There may be a leak in the system not allowing the pvb to seal
@@Irrigation_Tech_Talk I winterized my system but having this gushing issue too; is it possible there is trapped air in the system causing the system to leak and not allowing the PVB to seal? Should I try closing both valves, then open bottom valve, then slowly open the upstream (top) valve?

How you get that plastic bonnet off? Mine is pretty tight and worried about it cracking too. I guess I’ll replace it anyways tho
Normally it unscrews unless it’s cross threaded or messed up in some way
Did a packet of PolySi PST-599 come with your kit? Thinking it's o-ring lubricant.
It is to lubricant the oring it stops it from deforming and ripping on installation
Yes. I made sure to lubricate the o-ring. Thanks for the video!
Does the screw in the top of the check valve need adjustment?
No
Where did get the repair kit
Thanks posting nice practical steps
Should be able to find it on Amazon
Check out my amazon store link in description
Would someone please tell me what is the function of the screw on top of the check valve, and how do I know it's in correct position Thanks
It holds the spring that holds the ball in place it should be all the war tight
I replaced it it with the same kit and its still overflowing. Any ideas? maybe bottom check as you mentioned in video..

Yeah
iS THAT A HOSE CONNECTION BELOW SO1 ON THE INLET PIPE ?? CLEARLY A POTENTIAL CROSS-CONNECTION HAZARD
There’s a plug not a connection
FLUSH THE WATER LINE BEFORE INSTTALLING ANY NEW PARTS
Horrible video. Stop lying to him
If it gets the job done it doesn’t have to be a big production to get the information
