In this sixth episode of the Montsec Bikepacking Loop in Catalonia, experience the trials and triumphs of a bikepacker's journey through the unexpected. After enduring a freezing night under the shelter of an empty farmhouse's roof, my sleep was frequently interrupted by a curious wild boar. With the break of dawn, the sun brought a slight reprieve from the cold, but the real challenge lay ahead. The trail, transformed into a mud trap by the heavy rains, forced me to push my bike through the muck, unable to pedal as the mud ensnared my drive train and tires. The ordeal of pushing my bike uphill, battling for grip with every step, turned into an exhausting nightmare. Covering less than a kilometre took hours, leading me to opt for a paved road detour to a nearby village. There, I took a much-needed rest, savoured my lunch, and cleaned my bike, preparing for the upcoming ascent. Reaching the summit just in time for sunset, I found solace and companionship in a small hamlet, where I spent the evening engaged in warm conversations, enjoying hot tea, and sharing dinner with the locals. Join me on this segment of the Montsec Bikepacking Loop for a tale of perseverance, unexpected challenges, and the simple joys of camaraderie on the road.

Wow Catalonia is pretty even in Winter time. Amazing landscapes. Thank you for riding and producing! And yeah the mud. Seem almost like it is turning in to clay like cement in the circumstances. But you can do this man! Good luck on the trips I love following them! 😊
Thank you, very kind! Yeah the Montsec bikepacking loop is a lovely ride even in winter 👊

I hate mud so much. There's a lot of cleaning afterwards
Yeah it sucks but in winter is to be expected 🤷♂️
💕💕💕👍👍👍
Ciao Davide,i tuoi video e i tuoi viaggi sono sempre molto interessanti.
Vorrei chiederti cosa usi per orientarti.
Ciao!
Ciao Andrea! Uso l'olfatto...e il cellulare 😅
@@DavideTravelli Come sospettavo 😎 ..ah ah ah!
Sei un tipo tosto Davide 👍
Im too lazy to find out my self if you already made a video about choosing chain bike over belt. Of course that mud pit would still be un-ridable with a belt but im curious since the belt drive supposed to be better for longevity.
Hey Kalle! Yeah belt would be my choice seems better than chain but I do not have first hand experience.
I just noticed the bike has FD and 2by crank, I thought it's 1x before, and how much tooth on cogs and chainring?
Yeah it's 2x: 11-42 cassette and 26/36 (before I had 24/34 but had to replace it and that's what was available)
grazie gentilissimo come sempre@@DavideTravelli
