Honestly this might be my favorite dougdoug video. this is fucking crazy in execution, editing, and more. The fact that the doug team is able to make such a simple concept of walking in a straight line into an emotional rollercoaster of hope and loss to such a degree is honestly fucking incredible. Eventually it turns into “me throw bomb at goblin” and killing a slime with a boulder.
And it ends with barely being able to understand human speech as the greatest achievement becomes feeding a roasted bass to a rock on the edge of the world.
Truly a cinematic masterpiece.

The section with the bomb, axe and chu-chu jellies is such a good example of why this game is so fantastic; all of its mechanics just fit together in such a way that they reward creative approaches even in the most niche situations.

The biggest sin of this video is that the song to complete it all was also used for the ending credits of Bayonetta 3, and reminding me of that god awful ending is criminal. Insane idea I can't imagine the patience this took to pull off and hilarious as always!

Just realised this video is probably the closest I have and will ever come to a religious experience. The music, the sheer power of the line, the feeling of sharing a space with other Line believers, all made for an otherworldly experience.
The amount of things that needed to come together perfectly for this run is absolutely unreal. There were so many times where it would have failed if Doug didn’t grab one specific item earlier, or if the line was just one pixel off

You can actually regain infinite stamina while swimming by climbing a wall, exhausting your stamina, and falling into the water. In TOTK, they added a new mechanic that makes it so if you fall into water with 0 stamina, you regain a little bit. This can be used repeatedly with no cooldown. You just need a climbable wall next to the water. Doug does it by accident at 13:08 because he ran out of stamina while gliding
Genius. That would have made this challenge way easier in those couple river areas.
