    No one mentions Tony Blair and the Saudis, but they take over a football club or hold a golf tournament and the usual suspects start crying and asking stupid questions.

    Wow I’ve not seen him for years he was a big player back in the day. Sorry Malcom I do disagree with the takeover because it should be taken over by a British company basically from Newcastle. I am a Watford supporter and most of our players in this country now are foreign, and it should be more home grown, ok Watford took on Luther Blissett who was from the Caribbean, but Luther came here 12 years before he became a footballer and he worked his way up to get where he got. But most of todays foreign footballers are flown straight here to play in our leagues. I’m so glad I don’t follow football anymore nor watch it, I have no interest in something that was taken from our poor children. My brother was a coach for over ten years for his local village and he never got one scout from any club in the league during his time coaching, and my brothers club was always near the top of their league plus they won it many times plus the main cup. That’s the main reason he quit. Why waist your money going to foreign players that will make their national team better than ours. If your financially supporting todays football you are supporting the destruction of our young stars of the future. Simple!

    • @paulgreen3361
      @paulgreen3361 Před rokem

      @@aarondunn332 you really don’t understand my point above do you, most clubs in this country are foreign owned, and most clubs in this country mainly have foreign players. And it’s effecting our national team due to the lack of players to choose from. These rich people buying clubs don’t do it for nothing, they have to make a huge profit before putting money back into the club, at first it seems great but watch my space. Look what happened to Watford when their foreign owners took over, it was great at first but after a couple of years it changed not for the better but for the worse. Before the eighties it wasn’t about money like it is today, the premier League followed by Sky sports was the destruction of football creating a huge number of bankrupt clubs. Since then our young children lost out to foreign players due to the lack of interest from scouts because it was cheaper to buy foreign than train up our youths. Look at Watford football club their stadium was owned by their sponsor Benskins Brewery, Benskins donation to Watford every year in the early days was the equivalent of attendance money on top. Benskins never ever took money out of Watford, Benskins sponsored Watford from the late 1800’s and Benskins only sold victorsge road in 2001. You see it wasn’t about the money like it is now sadly. Benskins sponsored Watford for over 100 years and owned Vicarage road for over 80 years. Look at the difference to football since the big money took over in the early 90’s. It’s destroyed football in this country.
