- How to become a Hospital Patient Transporter. What are the job duties? With this job, you are transporting patients everywhere in the hospital, from point A to point B. In this video, I will go over the Hospital Patient Transporter job along with the job responsibilities and job duties.
Transporting patients on gurney or wheelchair (including patient discharge)
Locating and delivering departmental equipment
Documentation and Records
Assist and provide support during Emergency/Crisis
HIPPA and work in a safe manner
Professionalism and Team player
This is a good entry level job for you if you are interested in learning more about how the hospital work, I do recommend this job because you get to interact with all the nurses from ER, ICU, to the main hospital floors, and if you become a team leader or even a dispatcher like me, you will have more interaction and experience working with each department charge nurses and the house supervisor.

What is your thought about the Hospital Patient Transporter job responsibilities?
Hey this was a really helpful video im trying to get my foot in the door in the medical field to down the road become a EMT /Tech Basic and i think this job would be a great start
@@LCRBuff Hospital EMT/ ER Tech job is harder to come by now a day, especially full time. For Cali, I know some places prefer Medic instead of EMT. Also, usually, u start out as a Per Diem or Part time before u can go Full time as an ER Tech. However, if u r already inside the hospital working while building up ur connection to the ER dept, it's easier to switch over later when there is an open spot for ER Tech. Hospital staff has priority
I agree with that I think it vary state-to-state I'm an Ohio guy just to work as a patient care assistant in the ER or Patient Care Tech so they definitely have decent standards here to
@@LCRBuff that's good to hear. Cali has too many people lol so it's very competitive here
