  • Could not get AC to turn on when pressing the Auto button.
Edit* The white "Strip" i Referred to and showed in the video should have been connected at both ends, on my video you see the top of the strip is not connected. It broke. The Auto button just pushes the white piece in and if the strip was connected and not flexible, it would push the button on or off. I may try to put epoxy over the crack to see if that would fix it but that is for another day. Right now it works.

Man! I just got a 2002 Mercedez CKL 320, and I couldn’t figure out a way to turn on the AC you just save me hundreds of dollars! Thank you!

Man. You just saved me hundreds of dollars on a clk 320. Definitely need AC in Texas during summer month.

That little plastic tab isn’t supposed to be split at the top like that. I took the little blue insulator off a male wiring connector folded it to the thickness that fit in there, and epoxied it in. I Hope it works. Have to really make sure it’s in there flat against the bottom.

The Auto's and Fan Speed -/+ buttons usually don't work on these older CLK's. The problem is the plastic piece that presses on the micro switch cracks or breaks off. I've repaired many by gluing in a replacement plastic that resembles the original.
