This really helped me out thank you so much. My process for getting to the fault codes was a little different. I had to switch the hi driver low passenger switch back to first ignition click press ec rest together, and then go to second ignition click, and only then would it blink the top one, and let me go through. I didn't have a delete option, but when I pressed reset by itself it seemed to do it then went back to 72° and I couldn't get the codes to come back on.

I bought at '03 C320 with this climate control setup. The only thing it allows me to do is turn the defrost on, and it comes on at high fan speed and high heat. The screen reads that it is on, but all the other buttons don't work. I can't adjust fan speed, temparature, etc. The rear defrost can be turned on and off, but nothing else. All I can is turn on high heat, high speed defrost, and turn it off.

Great post. My a/c started cooling on only 1 side of the car and then quit completely. Garage charged with coolant but EC light stayed on and wouldn't cool. Purchased Evap Temp Sensor for $20 online. Installed it but light was still on and not cooling. Followed this video to reset the codes and now the EC light is off and the car cools perfectly. Thanks
my compressor kicks on for about 2 minutes andthen kicks off and blows hot again. i tried resetting the codes and now i am showing no codes but it is still doing it. 99 e320. ideeas?

My cheap $39 dolla harbor freight scan tool told me what coil cylinder was faulty, does this do more than a scan tool.

Did it go through computer reading stage ? If no codes stored, it will show no error codes….
I did the fault codes reset but auto button lights keep staying on...any suggestions how to fix that and shut the auto lights off ?

If the relevant buttons are broken, then obviously this technique won't work. Looks like you'll have to use your noggin.
