    I've used mine a few times and it's great. However, once you've cleaned it I've been told to use a good Patio Sealant afterwards (allow a day for it to dry). This is supposed to reduce time between cleaning for more porous stone slabs.

    My first home pressure washer was a Karcher. I was amazed at how well it could tackle cleaning jobs. I had to move up to a 2200-2500 psi machine with our 1.75 acre area with 236 linear feet of driveway. I was tempted to move up with a more powerful Karcher. It was a good machine and parts were easy to find. You will need parts. Good video. You should also leave a link to your Sodium Hydrochloride patio clean...

    i have had 3 karchers and all of them broke by storing them in the shed over winter where the frost cracked the piping. (never again) I bought a jet wash from Aldi and has a longer hose on a reel and 4 other attachments for no more than £70 and I have had it now for 3 years and had no trouble at all. YOU SHOULD TRY ONE. AND YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK TO KARCHER

    looks like your landscape is elevated above your patio, definitely re grade your landscape lower then your patio and pitch it away from your house when you have the money available. That way when it rains it doesn't drag all that dirt back over ur tile or even worse flood your house.

    • @TexasRose50
      @TexasRose50 Před 5 lety +3

      Gunther, I agree. Does a person mop a floor and not sweep before? Does a person put a skillet full of grease in the sink to wash before removing the grease first? There's a right way(with pride), then there's the quick and lazy way. Just my opinion of course. And I didn't see any ore treatment. I definitely would have used something. Oh well, that's just me.

    Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use czcams.com/users/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

    I notice you did not use the high pressure hose guide channel. I have found a tendency for the hose to kink if care is not taken at the end of the roll out as the hose is too stiff and the angle too steep to get the last bit through the guide. Have you found similar problems perhaps and for this reason not using the hose guide channel?

    • @RussellPlatten
      @RussellPlatten  Před 6 lety

      My pressure washer does not have the reel so the guide is of no real use Michael. The hose is way too stiff and Karcher should fit a more flexible one.

    • @michaelperrett6057
      @michaelperrett6057 Před 6 lety

      The Kärcher is cooled by the water, so you can run it endless at any temperature without the fear of overheating. It´s also all waterproof, so you can even clean the device with itself. But check if the supplied water has the right pressure for max performance.

    Think lance is not long enough. You'll get covered in muck.
    Plus for someone 6ft and over. You'll have a stiff back at the end.
    Why doesnt it come with an extension like some cheaper models I've seen?

    • @RussellPlatten

  • @TohaToni
    @TohaToni Před 6 lety +1

    Pressure from the nozzle looks strange, you are not supposed to see the svirl, either lack of water pressure but most likely some dirt in the nozzle it self.
    You can easily unmount whole nozzle and clean it.

    • @RussellPlatten
      @RussellPlatten  Před 6 lety +1

      The nozzle was fine, it is just an optical illusion caused by the frame rate of the camera and the speed of the spinning jet making it look slow. I find that if you move the gun too quickly you will get the swirls. :-)

      The power depends mostly on the water pressure delivered. Aat my house i have a high water power pressure and the circling at the power lance is like a constant stream, but yesterday i cleaned some areas at a building with flats which i own as landlord and i had the circling effect. The water supply was there from a own well with a pump for garden water and the water supply sometimes slowed down and needed a break to rebuild the pressure in the water tank
