They should be using a stainless steel more robust as this apparently is happening alot you can get a more robust outlet pipe rather than plastic will last far longer
Brilliant, worked for me... first time I repaired anythings like this. Thank you. For pulling the difficult to get to pin from the handle, a pointy pliers worked.
Mate i loved this video . Not only have you given me the incentive to strip my Karcher down and find the leak , But i had a good laff as well . Brute force works every time ha ha . good on ya
Hey Man, you've done a great job here. I know a lot of people including me having the same problem. Official repair cost 180,-- Euro. I'am disappointed about Kaercher Quality which seems to be no longer Made in Germany. I've put my K4 into the garbage/recycling and for sure Kaercher is no longer my favourite. There are other vendors which are doing much more better, but for a higher price and better quality instead of using cheap plastic materials. Take care. Martin
Yes absolutely correct my father has only used his a few times and now having the same problem with the cheap plastic components it's leaking in 2 places we just stripped it down but my father is fed up with this Karcher pressure washer I want to fix it but maybe Worth getting a different brand do you know of any other better Ones
Thanks. I have a Yr old K4. There are no issues so far, but I'm glad to know I can fix if that problem occurs. However, I might struggle to remove the leaking bit as I don't have your strength!
Looks like Screwix has it for GBP 5.86 Must be a common thing if the stock it. Im going to give it a go because after watching your video im 99% sure I have the same problem. Thanks!
If you’ve not got any water resistant grease you can also some Vaseline. It’s also water resistant and provides lubrication on seals and is safe on plastics
Mine has an internal leak, no doubt it'll be the same part, which begs the question, is this by design from karcher? I'll be stripping my K4 either today or tomorrow. One thing I do know is, my next pressure washer won't be Karcher... Probably Ava as they seem to be taking the game seriously and listening to customer feedback
I've had mine for a while and have abused it, so I don't mind a small repair every few years if it keeps it going, I've seen the ava ones, abbit too pricey for me to get atm, but I'd love to try one 😂
