    Welcome to another episode of ‘What’s for Keto Dinner’, where I show you how I meal prep some of your keto dinners for the week. As a busy mom and full time pharmacist, I don’t have time to always cook a healthy low carb dinner at night for my family. I’ve started meal prepping some of our dinners on one night a week and it has made a huge difference in time management and relieving stress when it comes to figuring out what keto meals to cook for dinner.

    In this video, we make a low carb elk chili, keto pizza made with chicken crust and keto egg roll in a bowl. I picked these three meals because they can all be made during the same time. While the chili is cooking, I’m making the chicken pizza crust. While the pizza crust is baking, I make the egg roll in a bowl recipe.

    EGG ROLL IN A BOWL RECIPE: www.ketofocus.com/recipes/ket...
    KETO MEAL PREP WORKFLOW:
    Prep all of your vegetables first - wash, cut, dice, chop etc.
    Add all ingredients for the chili and get it simmering over low heat for an hour.
    While the chili cooks, prepare the chicken pizza crust. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
    While the pizza crust is baking, make the egg roll in a bowl in a skillet. This recipe should be done by the time the pizza crust is ready to come out of the oven.
    Add toppings to your pizza, then broil to get the cheese bubbly.
    Remove chili from the heat.
    Pack all meals in the refrigerator once they are cooled.
    KETO MEAL PREP OPTIONS:
    Chicken Crust Pizza: You can choose to bake the pizza completely or just make the crust and store the unbaked crust in the refrigerator to bake the day you want to make it. You can also store it in the refrigerator with the crust baked but toppings not cooked. Finish in the oven at 350 for 10-15 minutes to get the crust heated through.

    Ginger root is great kept in the freezer. Last forever and it even grates better with a micro plane. It's like ginger snow. Then, just throw back in a bag in the freezer.

      I got this same tip way back and is the best way to keep ginger! I put it straight to freezer unless im using it same day.

    I dont even know if I'm ever in ketosis!
    I do about 20g carbs ..I think!
    I have one meal in the evening
    As for counting calories... I dont 😑
    Macros .. dont do those
    I've read so much about keto, but it annoys me because no one says the same. Count calories dont count calories, eat vegetables dont eat vegetables?? Keto cakes ect, I like one piece a day..all ketoed!
    With the fat dough, cream, butter, eggs, oil, cheese and meat the calories are astronomical ! Im frightened to count them ! Xxxx
    At the least I'm sugar free ! Ha x
    Your channel is the only channel that doesn't make me nervous about what to cook and eat.. Thankyou x

    Non-starchy veggies are such a great choice over "keto products" that use funky math to make the numbers look good. Veggies don't lie lol.

      Exactly! I eat onions and peppers all the time and stay in ketosis and drop weight. Veggies didn't make me overweight, it was all the other things 😁

      I find the people that worry about carrots, tomatoes etc are usually the same ones eating bread with gluten and keto products. Focus is a bit off to me.

Today, I decided to ask you a question about your skin because before I ever get into the recipes I ALWAYS find myself thinking, “She has the best skin!” What do you attribute your great skin to? PLEASE don’t tell me ‘genetics’ as I’m looking for an answer that I can implement!! 🤞

      Its usually from a keto diet. Because your eating more fat. I noticed all people on CZcams have great looking skin. Rewind keto, Jess uses Perfect keto Collagen daily. When I added collagen in my keto diet, my face looked 10 years younger.

      Retin A is great for anti aging. Wash your face daily, never sleep with make up on, moisturize daily and exfoliate weekly. Drink plenty of water. You'll be looking 10 years younger in no time!

      Try celery juice daily.. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin and I agree with Christine.. skin care is a must, as well as keeping hydrated and sun screen!! 😊

      Eat clean foods. Ditch anything processed. Ditch sugar, and any carbs that turn quickly to sugar eg white bread, pastry, pasta etc. Eat more veg (especially greens) and good protein (legumes/pulses, eggs, fish) and drink plenty of water.

    For a pizza crust I have used 4-5 Mild or hot italian sausages, that I have squeezed out of the casings. I spread out the meat as large as I can to fry it in a large frying pan. Draining the fat and turning once. Then pat any remaining grease and put on your favorite toppings and broil. The sausage crust is delicious. Also you can add a teaspoon of sesame oil to the sauce you make it adds so much flavour.

    I made and/or prepped all 3 of these tonight and doubled each recipe too! The pizza WAS really good and picky eater kid approved! I am freezing the second crust and will let you know how it turns out !

      @@m.n.9706 thanks for the reminder! It was turned out great! I thawed it and then baked it per the recipe. I added a little extra time because it was still a little frozen in the middle when I baked it - maybe 5 extra minutes. Then I topped it and baked again to melt the cheese and heat the toppings! Definitely will do this again!

    Meal prepped last night. I made the keto chili & egg roll in a bowl. Printed recipes BUT for the chili changing to ONE tablespoon of chili powder ya’ll must have cast iron stomachs. It was really good but I took an indigestion Pill. (before I finished eating). I didn’t have ground Pork for the eggrolls so I used mild Italian sausage. It was super good. Eating some & freezing some. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to get a recipe using just one pound of meat! 🌲🧑🏻‍🦳👍❤️

    I have made a different recipe for eggroll in a bowl A couple of times. It was good, but it didn’t knock my socks off. My husband wasn’t a fan. Watching your video, I decided to give your recipe a try. I have to say, Your recipe is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the Sriracha mayo with it as well. The only thing I did differently was I added a package of miracle noodles to it. To top it all off, my husband loved it! I am definitely going to make this again.

    Hey there! I have made this pizza crust with pork and if I use chicken, I use shredded. I make several and we freeze them after we bake them and works excellent! I have been doing this for years!

    The pampered chef chopper tool works great to mix ground meat, egg etc. in the bowl. Much more efficient than a spoon. Don't have to use hands.

    On the elk meat, I only use elk and deer for my red meat. I use it in place of ground beef. I cook it In the instapot,grill,air fryer,stovetop anything really lol and I never have a gamey issue. I age and butcher my own harvests as well and I never have gamey or bad taste issues, also if you don’t like straight elk burger, you can add pork sausage for extra fat and flavor too 😊

    Nice recipes. I'll have to try that egg roll in a bowl. Just a tip for game meats. The gamey taste is in the blood. If you soak the meat in water; changing the water as it gets bloody, and keep changing the water until it is mostly clear, you will eliminate the gamey taste.

    Pressure takes away all wild game flavour. I don’t like wild flavour so I use pressure cooker and it is just like beef

      @@KetoFocus OK so I made the chicken pizza crust but I didn't have parm so I used white cheddar and it made a watery melty mess! But whatever, It held together and tasted amazing! I made 4 mini pizza crusts since I'm the only one on keto, and froze 2 of them. Also, I mixed some taco bell fire sauce in with my raos and it was delish! lol Thanks again, girl and I hope you're feeling better!! xoxo

    I’m experimenting with tofu rice. So far it’s shredded and drying in fridge. I just do not like cauliflower rice. I love cauliflower but only with butter and cheese . Not rice. I tried with jicama but it’s way to firm even after pressur cooking. So I’m trying tofu rice. I put a tiny tad of jasmine xtract in it for slight flavor. Waiting to use it. Covid fatigue hit me so I’m done cooking for today.
    I did prepare a platter of chaffle sandwiches with fried ham and salami with spinach and cheese , and rolled turkey with spinach and cheese . So I’m prepared for about 4 to 5 days to regain my strength. And my rice is ready . Ty for your recipes. I use them.

    I love your videos. I used deli sliced chicken breasts in the recipes you have used them in and love this as a noodle substitute by the way. Anyway, I made an old favorite meal today using the deli sliced Chicken instead of Lasagna noodles. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I did however double the sliced meat as the meat was thinly sliced. This dish only contains cheese and spinach. MMMMM it is delicious. Hope it turns out using your method of sliced deli meat. There is no sauce of any kind in this recipe.

    I just made chili with ground bear meat. It's hunting season in Vermont. I found it to be very lean. My hubby liked it

    It is also great for mashing avacada, "potatoes", breaking up that cream cheese in a dough. Use your masher to combine ingredients for your pizza crust.

    Wow! Excellent keto dinner recipes. I love the Chicken Crust Pizza. think I'll make that one first. Egg Roll in a Bowl sounds good. Could you put that filling into an egg tortilla and actually roll it into an egg roll?

    I'm watching this two months after you posted. when you mentioned the jets flying overhead I paused for a moment.. and still heard them cause we live near an air station.. I laughed cause I don't consciously hear them anymore unless they are really low.. also if you are looking to save $$ I have found those "meat choppers" at dollar stores! yes not as heavy duty as the one I got from amazon but still work well..
    I really need to try that chicken pizza! I never realized how lean elk meat was before!

    Just about to start Keto and found your site. Just finished watching and writing down some of your nice and easy breakfast recipes. Want to be well prepared before I start. I do have one question for you (not sure if you will see this post) is there a calorie, protein or fat micros we are supposed to eat in a day or does simply eating Keto work on it's own without counting any macros.     I made this for lunch today. Delicious! One note though, the printed recipe doesn't instruct you when to add the greens from the green onions. I watched the video again and saw when to add them though. I added a couple dashes of fish sauce too.

    Thanks for such a lovely video. Curious about the pizza crust, how do u easily get it off the Parchment paper? Do u oil it first or sth? Because mine gets stuck on it and then I make a mess of it😶
