☠ Warning: There is a Giveaway Scam posting in the comments using my thumbnail. I am not on Telegram. I've been blocking and reporting them but it helps when you guys report them too. Thanks.
Telegram is good but I think bad ppl are using them for scams. Aggravating.
I agree. Thanks Brother
I've seen it on other videos and channels ,also. Quite aggravating and I hope those scammers get caught and locked up.
Wish we could get a g3 .40 the last few guns they dropped were just push offs till the next one
I don’t believe it’s a scam, Sootch. Give me my free stuff, man! 😂😂
Having owned and shot the PT111, G2c, and G3c Taurus pistols, my experience is that they have gone from good to better to very good in the past decade or so.
I have the GX4, G3, G3C, G2S and TX22. All great guns. Taurus is making really good guns.
i just got the tx22 and it is the biggest pile of garbage
You're doing something wrong then. The TX22 is one of the best .22lr pistols to come out in awhile
@@anthonyfanella6523 i take that back. i had to return minie twice, but after that, this gun is an animal it ate i shoved down its throat. Slider and spring were messed up in two different 2x's. But after that workslike a dream. love this gun
@@anthonyfanella6523 mine is awesome
@@TheDevicemanager maybe is you not the gun . Tx22 is one of the best .22 on the market right now.
The 365 and the Hellcat are simply over-priced in comparison to the GX4. Quality, reliability and accuracy from the Taurus is on par with the others. So, now it’s just a true choice…whether you want to pay twice as much for a completely comparable pistol or not. I love my GX4. And I’m very happy to ask a 365 owner to point out the attributes that make it $350 more than my VERY reliable and accurate Taurus. Haven’t had any substantial argument yet.
I've been considering a Sig P365X. But this GX4 XL just changed my mind. I already have a G3C that has been 100% reliable. Between cost, reliability and accuracy this will be added to my collection
Stick with Taurus!
Save the extra money for Ammo
I would get the sig in a heartbeat, except for some reason they won't sell an optics ready 365. You'd either have to buy a 365, then buy a 365x slide, or a 365x and a 365 frame + mags. It's really annoying that they make all the parts, but they wont just combine them at the factory
@@TotalDbag24 my edc is Glock 48 mos so I’m good
@@gunnerd686 The 48 is 5" tall with 10 rounds. Which defeats the purpose of my rant (which was a small OR gun). At that size I could just carry my hellcat pro, which is not as tall with 5 extra rounds.
Oh wow! A G3 stashed in your car... speaks a lot about your confidence in the pistol. Makes me happy to know that you like it as well and trust it for EDC use.
Really want more companies to start offering a factory short grip, long slide configuration of their micro 9s.
Bull+++!!!! Hate the short grip!!! If normal sized hands don't fit on the grip, it is too short!!! Must be made for women only!!!
@@robertramirez2076
Ok bud.
have stayed away from anything "Taurus" for many years. Now they come out with my cyryptonite.......short grip, longer barrel and slide. Thanks so much for your typical outstanding review and content.
I own several 9 mm pistols all kinds of different brand names and none of them has proven to be any more reliable than my Taurus ones. I have the g2c g3c and g3. I will be getting the g4 xl. My first g3 had over 15 thousand rounds with it never any malfunctions I sold it but not before buying another new one. My edc is a g3 and g3c as back up. Taurus use to have a bad reputation but their g series has brought them back to a very highly competitive status.
Fact!
You have to give kudos to a company that has done the work in improving quality and doing the market research
You may have overlooked that the mini-Taurus keychain grip has a screwdriver on its bottom to use to turn the screw that allows the slide to be removed.
Taurus is just kicking ass and taking names..... and my money!!! Fantastic lineup of options you just can't be disappointed, customer service/ support 👏 👍 😀 great. Thanks Taurus, thanks Sootch.... now I have another one buy.....😉
I completely agree and idk if this was by design or because Taurus has been stepping up their game but Taurus is becoming a fan boy firearm company like Glock has. I bought a GX4 last year and was so impressed i bought a TX22, then my daughter in law bought a G2c and we fired it today and now i want one. This GX4 XL is another step in the Taurus craze as now i am researching how to convert my GX4 into a GX4 XL. Dang it Taurus! Take my money!!
The GX4XL is my third in the GX4 line. I paid $100 under MSRP for mine. A solid performer and outstanding value.
In another couple of months I will be teaching my 92-year-old mother-in-law to shoot the Taurus TX22. Can’t wait! She is very excited about it too.
The most accurate Glock I fire, of all my glocks, is a Glock 26. I attribute this to the “Glock hump”. I was surprised with the gx4 coupled with the larger backstrap, my accuracy is equal to the 26. Can’t wait til the xl to hits my gunshop! Love it! Thanks for the review sootch!
I'm waiting on my gx4 XL Toro slide to come in the mail was my birthday present. That's what I like about Taurus unlike other companies they just sell the slides.
I have the 365XL Romeo and the GX4 and just got the TORO slide . I'm sure they'll offer this slide separately also. I paid a buck fitty for the TORO slide. I'm surprised there still isn't ANY kind of accessory rail. I needed a smaller micro than the 365XL(to fit in a cargo pocket) and I bought the GX4 instead of the regular P365 because of the price. The GX4 is an outstanding value.
I own a G2C and I love that little firearm! I've run steel, brass and everything under the sun through it and it just chews it up!
I’ve got to say that I love the Taurus grip. It fits my hand perfectly. And I love shooting Taurus as well. There’s nothing about them I don’t like.
Nice! I am excited for this. I’m glad I will get to watch the first review of Taurus GX4 XL in this channel
Thanks for stopping by Brother!
Previously, I wouldn’t be caught dead with a Taurus in my hand, but they nailed this gun. G26xl. You need the xl length for stability aiwb. Great review as usual.
this is awesome. As someone with small hands who likes a small concealed carry gun, I prayed that the p365 would have a stock grip and a long slide. Instead it was the opposite. Might consider buying one of these
will not be surprised if the G4 is announced soon as the big brother to the GX4 series.
Taurus has definitely stepped up their pistol game.
I have a G3 tactical with about 1200 rnds through it, zero malfunctions (except for the sig sauer red dot I use to have on it, sonce replaced with an actually really decent crimson trace). I put a mini comp on it as well as replaced the plastic striker guide, but thats about it. Beautiful looking gun and works like a charm.
This looks like a nice little 9mm. Taurus is really stepping up their game.
This is seriously on my radar now. Good stuff!
Thanks much for the review!!
The SA Hellcat Pro and the SS P365 XL have serious competition with this lower price but well-made Taurus G4 XL.
The GX4XL looks like the TX22 that I have, and I like a lot so this looks like my next pistol.
Taurus ts9
The gun industry just took the whole community for a roller coaster ride.
Full size 17 round
Single stack 8-9 round slim boys
Double stack tinys like the g26
Shield line
365
365 xl / this
Next we'll see 17 round double stacks carried again lol full circle.
It's not the industry taking the community on a ride. It's the industry struggling to keep up with how trendy the firearm enthusiast community has become.
Haha, so true, ur trained!
I haven’t wanted a Taurus since the old PT92. These new guns are looking good.
Awesome gun I've got the taurus gx4 really nice gun shoots great thanks for sharing sootch00
I do like the Taurus revolvers especially the little cheap 856 and the 605-357 both guns are very reliable and accurate even in the little 2-in snuby thank you for the video scooch
Sootch, I really love your work. Nevee miss a video. That's it. That's the message.
Aesthetically, love the looks of this piece. Looks somewhat futuristic. Very nice. Way to go Taurus! And thanks Sooch for this review. First news I'm hearing about this one. Keep up the good work!
You need to see the Graphene GX4.
Can't wait for the tactical version 😍 🙌
When you get the extended magazine, get the Talon Grips tape for the extension. The front of the extended mag is slick.
You do the best reviews man 💯
Thanks BK! I appreciate it
I really love your reviews. I love how you showed us the cowitness with the sights too and mentioned that it doesn't need suppressor height sights. People get this firearm on a budget, and getting separate suppressor sights puts me over budget.
Very helpful! Thank you!
I also have the Taurus PT 92 for the house Taurus makes really great gun's.
I wish it was cheaper here in Brazil. No offense to you guys, but the fact that Taurus'es are way more cheaper to you americans then they are to us brazilians makes me sad asl, not for the fact you guys can easily afford one, but for the fact that we can't have one without waiting 6 months for governement and army's aproval + spending 4 minimum wages on the cheaper ones.
It’s bs but Americans are losing a lot of freedoms and might have to pay with blood shed if they continue going on. If…that makes you feel better.
That does stink, they should take care of their home market first
Fora Bolsonaro!
@@shmser8401 isso é uma coisa que eu esperaria ler em qualquer lugar, menos aqui kkkk
Os idiotas vão tomar conta do mundo, não pela capacidade, mas pela qualidade. Eles são muitos.
Pro-Tip, the bottom of the grip on the Gx4 Keychain, is your takedown tool.
It really looks fantastic, unfortunately here in Paraguay the use of weapons is very limited (Especially for the high price, a weapon that in the USA costs 350usd here costs more than 1000) and although we are neighbors with Brazil very few Taurus enter
Just bought my wife thr Taurus TX 22lr. Had her take a training class prior to purchasing it. She loves it. Of course she has to purchase a color co-ordinated carry case. 😅She went with the splatter green. Fun little gun for a starter or just better to shoot inexpensive 22lr.
Wow. Nice review. I am now narrowing down my choice of my first CCW. Cheers!
Thanks Bong! Good luck with your decision. There are a lot of choices out there.
I own the Taurus GX4 9mm. Got in my New Gx4xl upper few days ago straight from Taurus. Sweet Shooter too
Thanks for the review. I'm a retired CEO with an MBA, and a licensed PI and security guard now, and was a decorated MP. The 4 is a great value! I still like the G2c better. Softer trigger for accuracy (in my GA PI shooting qual I scored 100% dead center for 48 rounds at up to seven yards). Faster reset. Raised loaded cylinder bar for night assessment. Rear sight dots for added instant alignment up/down and laterally. Red dot when thumb safety not on, for shock value. 12+1. Fits all PT111's. Taurus needs to do more outside-in feedback IMHO. The 4 seems to mostly be inside-out thinking. In Lean Six Sigma terms, more "voice of the customer."
Sootch.. your control is awesome, you make it look so smooth when you pull the trigger. I'm about to go shoot some rounds as soon as I get home.
Thanks Jo! Enjoy your range time!
@Beltway Jo Exactly what I was thinking, I am impressed with his control of muzzle flip… I shoot quite a bit, but for whatever reason I can’t seem to calm the flip🤷♂️
I will buy one, thanks for the video
Waiting for your review of the new smith and wesson m&p 2.0 metal, again sir sootch your review is always informative and entertaining.always watching your reviews even your past videos which helps us gun enthusiast and gun lovers..!godbless to you and to your channel..!from philippines..!
A really would have liked to see this pistol with a slightly longer grip to accommodate a flush fit 15 round magazine. I’m not a fan of extended magazines to add capacity and grip length. Also, why even produce a non optics ready model. Extend the dust cover and give it an accessory rail, picatinny preferably.
Replacing my G3 with this. Excited to get my hands on it and throw some freedom seeds down range
Great video sootch.when you gona do a review on the new Sig 365 Macro?
This reminds me so much of my Springfield xd9s 4 in barrel loved that gun ❤
I have the XD subcompact with a 16 round extended magazine and I just love that gun very accurate never a failure I call it a battle pistol because that's what it is
I always had good luck wit Taurus & shot good with them
I had a bad first experience with this pistol BUT.. after a second range day and a nice break in clean and lube I haven’t had any further issues.
Thanks, Sootch~
Wow! Great looking little gun. Taurus really has surprised us recently. Good for them! Looking for a carry gun for my wife. She can shoot bigger guns just fine, but would prefer a smaller gun for carry. I just may have to look into this one. It’s a contender for sure! Thanks for the review.
Taurus GX4 XL is the way to go for her!
Star M243 Firestar, released in1992/1993 period was a 13 round micro 9mm semiauto. Long before the Glock/XDS/Hellcat era.
Bought the GX44XL to rotate my CCW handguns from my Glock 27 and newer Bulldog 44.
I really don't need the optics or front accessories rail for such a small pistol. It's a steal for the price compared to other compact 9mm pistols. My Beretta 92FS was out of the question as a 9mm for CCW.
WWSD What Would Sootch Do, I can always count him to deliver an awesome review
Great video may have to have this weapon. I have a G3TORO. And a TX22 both great weapons.
Mine came with the riton red dot factory installed great gun.
Would love to see you get your hands on the:
Girsan MC P35 Ops (BHP with beavertail and rail).
Canik Mete SF (compact version of Mete SFT).
SAR-9 Mete (updated variant of SAR-9).
SAR-9 CX (compact version of SAR-9X).
Tisas Zigana PX-9 Gen.3 Tactical.
Is the XL upper / slide compatible with the regular frame / lower?
Is this taurus hollow point friendly? My G3XL and G3C do not like hollow points. They will not go into the barrel. They get jammed up on the feeding ramp. Clean gun, no carbon....but yet FMJ's load every time.
They also give you a base pad to change out on the 11 round giving you a decent pinky grip i just looked at one today they need to show that
I have the p365 XL and the grip prints no matter what I do.
Awesome 👏
I have the regular gx4 i like it alot especialy there design of the weapon
Great review. I'll probably get the standard GX4 for pocket carry.
Love your channel. Can you please review the new smith wesson mnp 2.0 METAL 9mm .. thank you in advance!
Hey sootch what do u think about the mag release on that gun. I had one and would pocket carry it and my mag would always come unseated. The mag button spring is very light. I had to get rid of it because of that
Nice to see this. Now if only Ruger would get on board, maybe make a Max-9 XL/something based off of the Security-9 that is smaller but holds 13 - 15 rounds. I wonder why Walther, Beretta, CZ, FNH, etc. never got into the micro-compact market at all. They should.
Does have 12 or 13 extended magazine. And factory red dot mount.
An EC9 with a double stack magazine and no manual safety would be cool
Beretta APX Micro
CZ P10m
FN 503
20 ounces and they will certainly fit in your pocket.
Just got one today. Traded in a revolver for it. Don't judge for some reason I have a lot of trouble aiming and getting on target with revolvers but semi autos I'm accurate as all hell. Going to take it Fri morning to the range
Gun manufacturers need to start taking notes from Taurus, making great quality firearms at an affordable price. Not everyone can or wants to drop 6 or 700 bucks on a hand gun.
Thank you Taurus.
Material quality and tech seem to be even across the board, but cheaper labor prices are the difference, I'm guessing. If Taurus (Brazil) or Arex (Slovenia) were made in Austria or the US, prices would be comparable to Glock or Sigs, respectively.
Pistol was designed by a engineer that worked at Walther
So … get ready for some changes coming in the future
Great pistol own two .. GX4 and aGX4XL toro
It almost looked as though the bullets were tumbling in your paper target. I own a GX4 and love it. Just curious. Mine punches round holes.
Actually the G2C started the compact size firearm with a great capacity. No one wants to admit it but I got you Taurus✊🏾
@sootch00 In case you missed it, the included keychain is the takedown tool! I like how they made it a mini version of the GX4!
I have a pt111g2 so far its been a good gun I have also upgraded everything I can expect the trigger. Great review sootch00 as always 👍
Thanks for stopping by Daniel!
The trigger was the first thing I upgraded on that (keeptinkering) but also put in a lakeline stainless guide rod.
@@bnolsen yes sir I did that and stainless steel firing pin sleeve and the ss firing pin keeper
Thanks Sootch. Great job. Good info. God bless. I was hoping that Taurus would follow Sig XL’s example with a longer barrel AND grip and also a 15 rd option instead of a GX4 L. I’ll keep waiting. Happy trails. : )
LETS GO BRANDON
I wonder if that slide would fit the regular gx4 frame THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR.
Yes it will
Very good looking Gun!
Great informative video. Taurus is on the rise. Can't decide between the standard gx4 vs the gx4xl. I know it's based on preference between the two, but does the extra legnth of the slide make the gx4xl superior?
Go with the GX4! Love mine!
Good Stuff 😊
I have been following your channel for a long time. I want to thank you for taking the time to make videos like this for people like me who are new to the gun world. I wanted to ask you, do you think the GX4 is a good option for a every day carry?
Hey buddy, I know you're not asking me but as someone who owns Taurus pistols, I'd say absolutely. Anything in the G series of pistols is absolutely a good option for carry. I've never had a problem with them and they are very comfortable and fun to shoot. I actually still carry an original PT111 G2 just because it's well broken in and smooth and very accurate. Sorry for the sales pitch lol, but I really love these pistols and believe you can't go wrong with em
@@deamcn6548 thanks for responding. This was very helpful, I have been told by many others like yourself that the G series are good for carry. Especially the G3C, and GX4.
@@HTorres83 for sure man and ur welcome. My wife and I both have one and we shoot quite often and we have never had an issue with either. It's one of my absolute favorites and I carry it a lot. Honestly I carry it more than my shield.
Definitely. I own one and love it.
Taurus Millennium in 1990s started everything with double stacked 9mm and 45acp.
John Browning started the double stack in the1920’s
I have a GX4 and I love it, and I would want this one if it had a rail for a light. I really think that they missed a great opportunity for people who already owned the GX4. I also think that they should make the G3 & G3C with an option for the GX4 trigger.
Look into the TLR-6. It's my go-to light that I have on my GX4 and G26. It's extremely compact and bright.
If i am not mistaken Kel Tec came out with the P11 9mm 10 round magazine first.
The 9 x 19 mm font was different on the hood of the barrel I don’t know if that makes a difference or if they’re using different stampings or somebody else is making a barrel just something I noticed.
Boy, Lakeline is going to be all smiles. More farkles to produce.
I sure love my G3C
Looks kool.. but I’m happy with my gX4 13 rd mags.. I’ve got big hands I shoot it better than any of my compacts I’m good. To kill get a 43x next instead of this.
Same length recoil spring assembly as the gx4?
Nice firearms!!
"2022 GUN OF THE YEAR!" TAURUS ON A ROLL I KNOW THEIR 4TH GENERATION G SERIES FINNA BE PERFECT🥂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
My only complaint is I wish the xl had a bit longer grip rather than an extended mag. If the longer grip and the longer barrel would be perfect. But that is just me. The 11rd mag just makes it hard to fit in my hand. This is just my opinion.
