I feel like degenerate dak really understands the design of fallout 4 weapons. no modern attachments, designs based on real guns but based on the fallout world so it visually fits. It's a perfect combination

Dak, Pig, and the rest of the gang indeed are killin' it. Lore-friendly, not pristine but weathered... good stuff.
Honestly, they're pretty middle of the road. Better than just porting shit from CoD, but the real talent seems to have left Fo4 some years ago.
Sometimes i think they try to hard to be lore friendly, for already lore friendly guns honestly.

Fun fact! The Jak 12 actually is the most realistic version, the AA12 in real life has almost no recoil for a fully automatic 12 gauge shotgun. It also got the fire rate right as well, and you seem to know that shotguns have a similar rage as a rifle
I think the first version is also realistic, it is just lighter and less bulky.(And with guns, more weight can help reduce recoil. Subcompact and pocket guns are notorious for having bad recoil even with small calibers like 9mm and 380)
Not related but have u heard that fo4 on consoles keeps crashing because Bethesda updated the dlcs recently?

It only crashed for me when I tried to go to Far Harbor for the first time this playthrough, but I thought it was a mod.
I wouldn’t be surprised. Had a stable Skyrim load order that rarely crashed but after the creations update with the same load order I crash more frequently now. Kind of don’t want to load up FO4 due to that

An interesting mod battle video could be a floral overhaul mod battle. Comparing grass mods, tree mods, etc. Stuff like Wildergrowth, True Grass, Another Green, etc.

Btw, i love the AA12 prototype which is made by degenerate Dak, i never thought i would want to add an AA12 to fallout 4 but the way he made it just makes it fit so well into fallout 4 sandbox

For me if a mod requires tactical reload it’s not worth it because tactical reload is broken as is
Had a mossberg 500 first. Then switched to the AA12 that is 4th on this list, best shotgun out of all tbh. The prototype is amazing, but I personally wanted the finished model.

The guy behind MF tweaks easy, and can be unpredictable when chatting with him, so take it easy kids should you wanna head over there and ask about mod progress, or lack thereof. Other than that the collection is pretty OK, certainly could be better.

hey pancuronium i'm loving all of your videos comparing mods, but is there a video about all texture replacer like vivid all in one vs high resolution pack by valius? Seems i can't find in CZcams how FPS heavy, and looks of it
Texture mods won't affect framerate much unless you run out of VRAM. Very large textures can cause microstutters if they take too long to load, however.
Choose the textures you think look the best, make sure they're in BA2 archives, and monitor your VRAM usage using task manager, GPU-Z or some other method. That's all you can do.
Can you cover the best World War II, World War I, Vietnam, Korean, weapons available for fallout four on PC and Xbox. I think a World War III like play through with weaponry would be nice but at the same time, compatible with the lack of storage that consul has.

Not a bad idea, I'll do it sometime in May.
Modern Firearms is my personal favorite gun mod/pack. If someone does want to use it within reasonable damage ratios, then True Damage and the patch for both would solve the issue. Unfotunately if you don't like the insane ammo drops, then you would have to also install loot mods that you would have to adjust the drop rates and do some personal Xedit patch editing as well for the belt fed ammo drops as those are high in number. Then you would also need the sound mod like JSRS for the guns to make them work better. All in all MF mod is more of a gun only component of the load order like a system rather than gun mod solo. I just like the consistency visually, the insane modification options, and all in one pack for the load order. One big downside for users might be the vending machine it comes with as it's own internal economy for gun parts as well as no perk level system for gun crafting making Gun Nut perk somewhat absolete unless you want to use turrets and etc. MF tries to be "realistic" in crafting and accessibility so it's a personal preference at the end of the day.
MF made gunfights deadly again. 🤣 I lost count of how many times some basic raider absolutely painted the earth with my blood, mostly from me underestimating the guns' power.

I went the other way, in terms of weaponry (at or near-vanilla) and the Att. Pack has made even the default blasters fun again.

For dak and pig's aa12 it is not a big deal especially if u consider the fact that missalighned irons make it perform a bit better (u aim for torso+head instead of head only)
Please check for it since ur mod vids are usually better than everyone else's

I ain’t never playing anything with the name Bethesda attached to it again
I can only hope that a lot of the modders will finally see/realize that Bethesda games aren’t worth their mods, I certainly wish it for them

Also the usual things, BoS had a change of heart again and enclave is (somehow) back plus the entirety of fallout new Vegas has been retconned, none of it ever happened among a lot of other lore breaks and cringe writing comparable to that of a 12 year olds horny fanfiction that’s what broke the final straw for me

No offense, but I feel there are way too many weapons already. I usually end up using something less powerful because the game is pretty easy. I prefer mods that give more story content.
