All these videos have made it rather clear the modding scene seriously lacks any animators

Specially when looking at the work the FNV community has been putting out in the last years.
A good alternative Winchester 1897 shotgun mod is Pig’s Vintage Shotgun. Which is a Winchester 1897 that actually has more than a half dozen modifications. It also comes with two unique that are quite different.

Tbf PC players assume they're going to have the majority of mods. PS won't have any. It's really just Xbox that would care

What I like about the T6M in particular is that Creation Club skins work on them which are usually pretty useless considering the amount of mod options. I have them just because they are often given for free but often forget their existence.
edit: there is also a shotgun mod that luckily I still remember because of the unique animations. The *Sjogren Inertia* .

How would you rank Pig's (F4StoryExpansionProject) Lever-action shotgun and the vintage shotgun (Winchester 1897)?
The lever action one is by default pretty good, especially since they are so rare in F4's modding community, there's like 2 of them.
I would also recommend the Remingtom 700 - a classic shotgun, lorefriendly and good model/Animation
It is by far my Favoriten shotgun Mode
For the spas 12 there is a mod called combined arms which adds other weapons but as for the spas 12, it has an option for pump action or semi auto
The Combined arms spas is a lot better than the standalone one
I used the Hunting shotgun on xbox and loved it. best bcr supported pump action. my gripe with it were the stated in the video and the fact that it replaced all hunting rifles in existence :/

something else about the hunting shotgun, if you throw your last grenade it will cause a weird bug that locks you into whatever perspective your camera was in untill you equip another grenade type with 2 or more grenades and then throw one. this might also extend to other shotguns but ive only ever had it happen to me with the hunting shotgun for some reason and i use the rem 870 and Mossberg 500 too.
4:50 I have to disagree here, the reload speed for the T6M is perfect. The problem with many weapon mods for F4 is, that unrealistic animations are ported from fast paced multiplayer shooter games, which is a biiig mistake. Good animations like this force you to think, retreat into cover, use your sidearm/melee weapon, or... to run away! Always look for a high ground where the animals/mutants cannot reach you, just like a real hunter would do.
The Hunting Shotgun is so objectively better that they even added it to 76

Is it possible to make a ps4 one that is a short combat shotgun without a magazine that uses the lever action reload animation?
I like the t6m. Ill keep devil's slugs in my inventory for most of the game. Slam fire is the way I go. I play on pc and don't seem to have the glitches. I liked dinner bell from new vegas too, so I might have to try the hunting shotgun out on fo4.

Okay, I'm trying to make an overhaul that serves to make the aesthetic 80s instead of 50s with a slight 80s flavor.
Which of these would work for that setting?
On Xbox, BCR for me seems to only work for the Lever Action Rifle and that’s it… none of the other shotgun mods work with it, not even the SPAS-12 from Combined Arms.
The only suggestion I have is to move BCR for Xbox to the bottom of the load order, and remove the older Lever Action Reload Fix mod if you have it. Beyond that I don't have much clue how the Xbox version of BCR works.
@@PancuroniumB Thanks for trying to help at least, but I do have BCR at the very bottom of my load order, and a patch for BCR to support the right handed animation replacer for it.
Whats with the white halo around your hands and weapons? I've watched a lot of fallout 4 videos and never recall seeing anything like it.

If you do an update to this then I highly recommend the Select Shotgun by Neeher. Other than the reload sequence being way too low in volume, it is top-notch.
Ah, yes. The pump-action shotgun that's fed by a... revolving cylinder.
The quality is definitely there, but it's such a stupid weapon.
Damn you really left out the select shotgun and Remington 870 :/ both of which blow these weapons out of the water. However hunting shotgun is a very high quality mod, i always reccomend it and it always has a spot on my load order
The Tulsa arms TOZ-194 is also a banger of a pump shotgun that's right up there with the best shotgun mods
If you are referring to the Remington 870 that came out June of this year, this video came out in January.
K I’ll pump out a few comments. My recommended mod of choice ? Hunting shotgun. Other than that it’s usually the Winchester. I don’t care for power armor it won’t let you dance. And I like to dance…well I gave it my best shot!

To me the best ones are the Stevens and the Benneli from Subleader, both of which ain't featured.
The Benelli M2 is semi-automatic, so it wouldn't have fit within this video's criteria. Then again, the SPAS12 is as well and I left that in, so... whoops. Regardless, I can't cover every mod in one video. Eventually I'll make a second part and look at some more pump-action shotguns, including the Stevens M-520.

@@caiooca5793 Yeah, I was going to mention the SPAS12 from Combined Arms and compare it to the much worse SPAS12 I actually showed off, but the video was getting too long and it felt like an irrelevant tangent, so I cut that part out of the script.
I also didn't want to redownload a 4GB weapon pack just to show off one weapon.

Why do people care so much about lore friendliness in mods? It just doesn't make sence to me why people wouldn't use cool mod because it's not lore friendly. Let's say their's a mod that adds all the quake 1 guns to fo4. I couldn't care less if it's not lore friendly.
What I can agree with though is when mods like like frontier act lore friendly but aren't.
Personal preference. What is fun about FO4 and Skyrim is you can change the game into what you want it to be with the right mods. My current playthrough I'm trying to make it as real as possible. No radiation, modern vehicles, modern weapons mixed wih handmade but little to no energy weapons. Commonwealth of Decay wiped out all game NPCs populating with just raiders and gunners and Zombie Walkers has caused it to basically be a zombie apocalypse. With Start Me Up, the main game narrative is erased too. I'm here to save survivors, fight off the raider/gunner coalition and zombies. I'm limited to 2 sidearms, 1 rifle and 5 grenades. Weight limits reduced. I have to eat, drink, sleep, relieve myself when it is necessary, keep clean, brush my teeth and worry about menstrual cycle. I have to maintain my weapons and armor from breakdown and avoid night as much as possible. Not running tacti-cool either. Shes in a flannel shirt with overcoat, jeans and a military hat with a backpack.
FO4 can be what you want it to be.
lore-friendly tags in mods are moreso for roleplayers who don't want immersion breaking weapons and stuff that takes them out of their game.
For example, my current playthrough revolves around a "desert/dry wasteland theme" coupled with revolvers, lever-action rifles, desert-themed armor and clothes, as well as flora and food items. So, seeing ultra clean and tactical modern weapons or bulky space guns in my playthrough would mess up my "outlaw playthrough".
If I wanted a crazy playthrough with zero regards to lore-friendliness then I can just boot up a new load order. However, for my current desert apocalypse playthrough, it's a no.
they say sharing is caring, but when u share that u don't care wat others care why even share ur care in the first place? i like lore friendly and non lore friendly. all depends wat kind of character and playthrough im going for. same applies for immersive and unimmerisive for me
I care for lore friendliness because I wanna play Fallout, not some other game.

Because most people look for mods to complement, improve, and fix the game, not turn it into something else. It makes no sense for your character to be running around with a tacticringe loadout when everything around you has a 1950s Atomic Age aesthetic. So unless you can somehow completely overhaul the game (good luck with the architecture), you'll be looking completely out of place, which is to say you might as well be putting Master Chief in a Medieval Fantasy setting.
A better question would be: "Why do people download mods to make X game more like Y game, when Y game is readily available and can be played at any time?""
