The tossing of the scrims into the crate had me laughing pretty hard, but the pallbearers carrying it out with the speedrail was just perfect. So cheesy but loved it.
This is both funny and sad because it's true. I love my Desisti Magis 650's! They take 300W, 500W & 650W globes. The were an intergal part of my kit and they still get hauled out every now and then, but I mostly use LEDs nowadays. I still have my 3 head Dedo DLH4 kit, with all the fixin's, projectors, a WA lens, gobos, etc. I kept most of my tungsten units, just in case I get a large job. I can always throw a CTO on my daylight units, or dial in 32K on my bi-color gear. I do want to Frankenstein my ETC 25 - 50 zoom onto my Aputure 600d.
fitting 2 in a milkcrate was always much appreciated working in a rental house the LEDs usually have to be in their soft cases for safety or organization, and there's a lot less 300Ds you can fit in a hamper than the tweenies or babies wonder if there is a market for long lasting LEDs that can be thrown around like a mole with the sacrifice of output
Two to a milk crate. Yoke up top. Cable neatly coiled onto top of yoke. Two side-by-side facing opposite directions. Box or bag of wires in front of lenses with possibly a full set of snoots atop them. A thing of beauty and practicality. Improved upon over time. Introduced the better cooling and sexy silver radial housing with Carmen Red accents. From the cursed hot filament shattering DYS bulb of Lowel Omni light fame, a bulb that was originally designed for a stationary Kodak ELH carousel slide projector, to the highly reliable FRK bulb with a lever release for hot bulbs. Upgraded the porcelain socket so the bulb bipin contacts didn't pit as easily creating vacuum leaks and filament burn out. Went to a more reliable switch in time. Trolley for focus change never bound up or slid if the lens was angled down for a top light. Focus knob both front and back. A great platform that lent its design to the rest of the tungsten line.
I have still kept a couple of Lowel 650 Frenl's. They were the best 650 Fresnels ever made, super light weight, great zoom range and you can put a 300w lamp in instead of a 650w if you needed. I also kept a DLH4x150S Panaura. I haven't used them in ages but they are beautiful lights if you have the time.
Good to see Drew Nelson and Bill Pope! And holy smokes, Dylan Nottage?! Haven’t seen you since ‘Heart of the Argos’ in 2007!! Luke, I’m still holding onto my 2K Mighty Mole and Tungsten Dedos, you can pry them from my burnt dead hands… -Sats

... When crew becomes cast, we get tungsten-in-cheek!
Truly hilarious. Great send off. Someone needed to do it. Nicely done.

I honestly thought that Fiilex, Aputure, Godox and Nanlite would have an Anchorman brawl.
Hahahahaah this was brilliant! Such a welcome change on your channel! That smoke though hahahaha! Love this Luke (and Luke's friends)
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love ❤️ it. Best filmmaker for Filmakers short I’ve seen in 2024. RIP Tweenie RIP Aputure 120D as well. 😅
Now that I’ve seen the live action, I’m looking forward to Brad Bird’s Pixar’d version! 😂
Genius. Pure Genius.
Well knit words and a great farewell sequence ! Loved everybit of the video 😂 ! Kudos team 🎉

This video definitely made my day 😂😂
Using tweenie’s brother this week! Reincarnation? Leaving an led with fresnel on the shelf - just not as sharp in the shadows
Hahaha! I love this:D
Slander, will continue to use tungsten till jcx stops selling globes. 😂
