Maybe they’ll make another miniseries “Tales of the Off-colors” or something. From what I’ve heard, probably not, but I’m love to hear and see more about gem lore. Steven doesn’t even need to appear. He’s had his complete story.

It could be presented in the same way that Steven's story was, all from Lars' point of view, but it could reveal more about the history of gems and things like how Rhodonite was formed, which gems make up Fluorite, and could link in things that were missed in the original series through Lars' curiosity about Steven's experiences (more on the dismonds, Nephrite's ship, etc etc)

It sucks they were in a slight rush to get the series done. Oh well.
They could have done better with home world bound and the spinel screen-time but after the movie she was only in 2 episodes and not in the finale along with the diamonds.

I wish they did an episode on that theory instead of Steven Tag. Rhodonite’s backstory could have had a moment that Rhodonite has a flashback of Morganite that triggers something in Steven to feel a flashback of Pink Diamond how what she did was wrong.

The Steven tag episode was important to the crystal gems. Because it showed us that they couldn't move on from the child Steven and how the gems still doesn't understand physical, emotional, mental, spirtual and social aging.

I think that episode was so important to seeing where Steven's at, as well as making for an easier transition from the funnier, more light-hearted first half of the series to the horrifying second half.
We need another spin off that focuses on other characters to finish their stories. Future was a closure to Steven’s, not everybody elses.

Definitely, but I think there should at least be some time between that sort of thing. Future was about Steven experiencing proper character growth as everyone else got proper arcs in the main series, even the Off-Colours to an extent with Lars of the Stars. I'd personally love to see Connie and Greg focused arcs, as they are both such important people in Steven's lives, to the extent that they are featured in the final scene, but who's stories get sidelined a little since they're not "Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl and Steven". But other gems would also be great. Like we never got to see what non-fusion Garnets look like! And the Off-Colours, 100%.
I would love to see a supplemental series called “Tales of the Third Era”. It wouldn’t need Steven himself, but he could cameo here and there, maybe even overlap with events of Future. Each episode would focus on the Gems of Homeworld and Little Homeworld and how their lives have changed. Perhaps even get into human/gem relationships that have formed.
I hope that one day, the crewniverse all come back together to make shorts of the episodes that they wanted to do but never did.
I remember reading somewhere that Rebecca wasn’t done with the Steven Universe world but she saw the characters as real people and she wanted to give them, (especially Steven), some privacy for now. Plus she wanted to work on new projects she had too, but she definitely hasn’t lost interest in more adventures with the Steven Universe world 😊

Basically every episode takes place on a day of a different gem. In which episode they might tell us their background or who they are/used to be.

As a Rhodonite fan, I would have wanted to see her components while also having Garnet be in the episode with her to help her; both in introducing their components and facing Morganite.

Honestly, I would’ve tossed the Lapis episode, for the Rhodonite episode with the off colors, the Lapis episode felt like forced progress for lapis that had nothing to do with Steven. I would put Lapis with Peridot for the Camp pining hearts episode, seeing as they both liked that show. But I’m content with what we got, just wished some stories didn’t have to be scrapped due to time and creativity constraints.
Thank you that would have been better "In Dream" could of have been Lapidot episode for the people who ship them the episode probably have been different but still.
Hmm I actually like this idea! Though I think Lapis' episode is important, as well as having one-on-one time with each character. And I loved Lapis' song! But I empathise with the frustration.

It would be cool if Rebecca Sugar made a spin-off series of Steven Universe Future that focuses on Beach City, Homeworld and the off-colors after the events of SUF, Steven would not be in any of the episodes but he might be mentioned. This would allow a lot more world building and character development for characters we didn't get too much development from in Future, and it would be interesting to see what certain characters like Jasper do now that Steven has moved on.

I got an idea. They could have Steven try to help rhodonite, but whenever he try’s to, it doesn’t help, and garnet has to do it instead. It would be in line with his arc and how he feels like he isn’t needed by showing that ‘garnet can do everything better’ even though it’s just her helping out another permafusion because it’s her expertise.
Going into future I expected it to be more about tying up loose ends or stories, tales that were ALREADY alluded to but were never touched on. Instead they gave a NEW story that was very detached from the old one. Steven was *very* different in this season and I just couldn't connect to him regardless of how relatable he was because it just didn't connect how he got there.
I feel like the could have made it right after the episode with steven and connie steven having his heart broken goes to lars asking how he got over Sadie lars says it just happened rhodinite try to help but by the end of the episode makes things worse for steven
To be honest, out of all the characters that I wanted to see more screentime from, I would most definitely say Centipeedle/Nephrite because the original series had a nice theme of revisiting her every now and then since the first episode. It would've been nice to see how she interacted with Steven in Future now that she's not corrupted anymore especially as she shows up in the theme song, but I can understand if they couldn't fit an episode with her into Steven's story in Future. I am sort of surprised that they would focus more on Rhodonite of all gems, but hey, they can tell whatever stories they please. :)

Forced meddling like this really screws up the potential of many shows. It's annoying.
I so annoyed why didn’t they just include her story when we first met her or on the ship
I honestly feel like they've could've made this episode BUT! with Garnet being too busy so Rhodonite seeks Steven for help (since he's the hero of the show). Steven explains his relationship with Connie, being Stevonnie, and how he feels about it. But that's not as complicated as Rhodonite, so they seek out other fusions and ask how they feel about it too, but every fusion has something different to say. Eventually, they both come across a fusion that says something about their life with that person and how it's different without them. Steven pulls out his phone and looks at a picture at Connie.(getting ideas ;>) Every gem's different answer make Rhodonite and Steven confused, and steven begins to question his relationship with Connie and their fusion. Both now question themselves at the end of the day about fusion and love but then, GARNET IS HERE AND NO LONGER BUSY!!! YAYY!!!!!!
Garnet properly explains herself as a fusion between ruby and sapphire, and explains their love. Rhodonite is happy with her answer. Steven then misinterprets it and gets the idea of spending the rest of his life with Connie. Which then leads on to the episode "Together Forever" But he already has the idea of Connie being his future before this episode, so he ask ruby and sapphire about it instead. And ya'll know "The Answer"
Yes I know it's not exactly not a problem that Steven can throw himself on, but it does eventually lead up to one within the next episode.

i would love just a series of short stories posted by Rebecca about the other gems. The mythos, the off color's adventures, and how Rhodonite's components fell in love. I can definitely imagine Garnet helping Rhodonite be comfortable with being apart again through couple's counseling. Because as we know Garnet went a really long time without unfusing as well, and only started unfusing regularly with the creation of little homeschool and her components teaching different classes.
It sounds like this series should evolve past Steven, and have a season about the Gems without the restriction of needing Steven in the scene or even episode. Even the season could be called something as simple as Steven Universe The Gems.
But even so multiple Named MC Title cartoons still had their flexibility, good example, Spongebob Squarepants and OK K.O

I haven't watched through the entire video yet, so forgive me if this is in there, but I've just thought of a way to connect Rhodonite with Steven's arc in Future.
Rhodonite, a Pearl and a Ruby. They fused out of fear of their Morganite and were shunned by Homeworld as a result. I could imagine Steven venting aloud on the beach as the Off-Colors are packing up to leave with Lars, and Rhodonite overhears his dilemma. She encourages Steven to be at least a little sympathetic towards his mother, because Rhodonite understands how gripped by fear Pink must have been when she would be taken to the tower and left there for who knows how long. She understands Pink feeling shunned for wanting to save the Earth and its inhabitants. The other Diamonds didn't care about other forms of life, but Pink did. Rhodonite relays her own story to Steven, how Pearl and Ruby found comfort in each other. She describes their relationship, and Steven closes his eyes, having just a little more understanding of his mother's actions. He thanks Rhodonite, and upon opening his eyes, instead of seeing Rhodonite, he sees Pearl and Ruby.

Hey you are awesome, thank you for making all this amazing content. I wish I could bring you some of the happiness you have brought me. Just needed to type it out once at least, it may also have to do with your ideas on doing Rhodonite and the space gems series. But this is far from the only good idea you have had that I have agreed with I just don't type out text support often, so thank you and I hope Sugar has a like minded view set, I'll be happy if I ever get this show back but I loved it and I won't gripe if that was the total of it. I have a similar thought of Flourite. Since "Change Your Mind" I had thought Pink Diamonds "pet" Steven saw in his vision in the first scene of that episode with Blue Diamond was actually apart of Flourite's fusion & not _just_ whatever 6 gems are also in Flourite's fusiom.

Yeah, it would've actually. Prickly Pair was just about Steven screaming at a cactus that he made come to life, and then later on making it go on a rampage. Learning about Rhodonite's past would've been more interesting imo

I would love it if after all this, Rebecca made a prequel miniseries that goes into the backstory of Homeworld, the Diamonds, Homeworld gems. It shows what Homeworld was like and who lived there, and what happened over time with the war and such. Rhodenites backstory could fit here too!

Awestruckvox, I honestly just watched this video, and I think you're onto something about Rhodonite, but what I just thought of, I believe Rhodonite's components were a Pink Ruby-- you know, here on Earth, Rubies can be both pink and red-- and the other another Pink Pearl.
I know Fluorite wasn't the main focus, but I have a request: Another CZcamsr by the name of Slice Of Otaku, theorized what the components of Fluorite could possibly be: One of the two Gems on her forehead is inconsistent in shape: in the episode 'Off Colors', her topmost Gem looked liked that of a Rose Quartz when she made her first appearance, then it looked like that of a Sapphire, but with a circular facet; her Gem below that looked like a Peridot, same with her left and right chest Gems, but without the actual cuts; the middle chest Gem looks like either a Pearl or a Jade; and the Gem on her abdomen was POSSIBLY another Diamond, Well, that's what Slice Of Otaku theorized. What do you think? Will you please make a video in regards to Slice Of Otaku's theory on Fluorite's Gem components for me? I really would appreciate it if you did. Thank you for your time!!
