"Johnny: Yeah, Fatal Infinity wasn't my best work.
Fujin: Were you not focused Johnny?
Johnny: I was three sheets to the wind."
The way Johnny talks with him indicates Fujin has watched it, while it doesn't necessarily means he's a fan, it does point at that direction.
Tremor, out of all the MK ninjas, is probably the most under appreciated. I seriously wish he gets more time to shine in future MK games

Tremor is so cool. I hope he sticks around in some way or another. I was one of those kids that so badly wanted to see him make it out of Special Forces. All these years later, I was more than pleased maining him and Cyber Sub Zero.
Only real nitpick I have with Tremor is he didn't get his classic ninja skin.
Considering the other ninjas got their MK3 costumes, seems like a missed opportunity.

@@that_boyluvsjs3073 No-Face isn’t a guest character. No-Face is one of the other characters in MK Special Forces that never showed up in another title. One that would be pretty cool to see introduced into a newer title. It’d be neat to see a character with some combustion based moves that aren’t Sektor, Scorpion, or Liu. Especially if they were used for traversal. But I guess we could always just yell at people over comment sections to shut down their opinions too 🤔

Metallic Tremor was probably the most underrated variation in the game. That lava skin restand was absolutely broken! Put people in the blender and just cook!
I never understood why they didn't carry over Tremor to MK 11, instead of Geras.
Geras? I don't see what the correlation is. Besides having a big stone punch, Tremor and Geras are very fundamentally different characters.
@@Jhonnykiller45 There was early speculation that Geras was a repurposed Tremor. Similarities in powersets etc
Plus, Tremor is liked a lot more than Geras.

Tbh, I actually like Geras more than Tremor, just design wise. I think if you put Geras in a wackier game, he'd be a lot more fun gameplay wise.
Though I didn't play Tremor myself, I still think he was a stellar choice for a DLC character back when Kombat Pack 1 was announced. It also helps that he has one of the cooler looking movesets in the game.
I was really big into rocks and geology so when Tremor was added to MKX I immediately bought him and mained him ASAP, still remains my favorite ninja and I can’t wait to see him in another MK game

As much as crystalline was almost certainly the best tremor variation, i'll always be sad that metallic didn't get some more love from the community
whoever thought it was a good idea to give tremor a restand and 30+% unbreakable on almost every launcher was right, and also likely has a career in comedy because it's hilarious
Tremor was my favourite by far and extremely fun to play.
I really enjoyed Skarlet in MK9 and Tremor in MKX. So I had high hopes that the last of the unrealised characters - Hornbuckle - would debut in MK 11. For whatever reason, he didn't make the cut. Which is really disappointing, considering the high standard set by the previous two.
Cant forget about acidic alien on release though

tremor being the brown ninja in the most brown mortal kombat game ever just makes so much sense
I wish he would come back, hes only ever been in 2 games and never had that much weight. I know hes just another black dragon goon but to me he has way more personality than people like kira or kobra
The only thing Tremor missed in MKX was the bronze steele ninja skin similar to gold Scorpion, sapphire Sub and crimson Ermac. (Same for emerald Reptile, he missed that too)
Tremor had a fantastic moveset. Hope he returns in mk12 or beyond.

I still don't get the appeal of those outfits. Gold Scorpion? Sure! After all it's based on his primary outfit.
But then they changed the color for Ermac and Sub-Zero and called it a day.
@@mattvolonte9026 It’s just a really cool design I suppose, it’s like a DC cartoon-style version of Scorpions default, I’m really annoyed they never gave Reptile the skin tho, out of the 4 ninjas in the base game only one of them is missing out for whatever reason
He was undoubtedly the most fun character in the game, but he was also just kinda fucked up.
Rock drop in the corner was straight up evil, one of those things I don’t miss in MK11. Crystalline was villainous.
Man these games really feel like two halves of a whole we have not seen yet. MK12 can bridge the gap hopefully.

Tremor was broken. He was simply too good at too many things.
Mk1 seems like a good halfway house between X and 11. Looks good so far. Can't wait for it.
It would just be nice if no one character was so overwhelming as Trems. A friend of mine played him and MKX Sonya.

Some people DDOSed a few players towards the end of top 16. Lots of fun those guys are, ddosing people for their entertainment. What goes around comes around, they'll find that out the hard way most likely.
Tremor was the character I most wanted for MKX. I remember making him as my Kreate a Fighter in Armageddon. Always thought he was super cool. We need MORE redemptions for the less popular characters! Bringing back a Hotaru, or a Kai, or a Mavado would be awesome imo. Lets hope MK12 gives the lesser characters some love
I agree 100% with your comment man. Revitalizing a Shujinko, a Havik, a Reiko, a Sareena and maybe even Chameleon/Khameleon would be quite hype imo. Hopefully in mk12 there is less focus on new characters or the same returning mk trilogy characters that we have seen for soooo long.
@@samy29987 Exactly, they showed us they can take characters like Bo Rai Cho and actually turn them into pretty cool characters, especially since Bo Rai Cho was basically a joke character with no sense of seriousness to him until MKX. I REALLY want to see Hotaru again, he’s one of my favourite 3D era characters due to his design, personality and lore and it really want that to be expanded on

It’s amazing that they managed to turn him from a random boss in an old game to a fan favorite DLC character.
Tremor was always my favorite. I was so sad to not see him in 11. The most unused top tier. No one knew his max potential
Tremor is by far my favourite character in mk. I redownloaded mkx the other day just to play him again. Best visuals and sound design in any character imo.
Tremor has little story significance and only one playable appearance, but they absolutely made it count. Love the character, top 3 in all of mk for me personally, alongside Sub and Fujin.
All 3 variations are super sick, with metallic being my fav.
Also him geing black dragon is a big +
The little story significance can easily be fixed. In the mk x comics he was strongest characters there

For a ground-based character he has some of the most fluid movements and animations I’ve ever seen, looks dope
Yeah Tremor is my favorite character because he's combos are so amazing and bring a lot of damage plus I enjoy playing him he's so badass.
I absolutely loved playing Tremor since day 1, and hes also such a underrated ninja in the franchise. I really hope one day we'll have an MK title with every ninja together
His combos in Mk X also the rock sounds he made was satisfying
Tremor was my favorite NRS DLC character after Jason. Quite surprising, too, since my expectations for him weren't very high originally. Was disappointed he wasn't in MK11, but here's to hoping he makes another appearance soon!

God I wish he was making a return in MK1. This redesign was so amazing, and conceptually I just find him the coolest of the MK ninjas. After the three variations of MKX, I'd just love to see his powers consolidated.

Damn as a Tremor main this was an absolute joy to watch. Tremor also has some sick specific tech with a lot of his moves that back when MKX was in it's prime, was hardly used but was really cool to lab
I love my man Tremor, i dont know why he was so forgotten by Netherrealm. One of my first Gold characters in MK mobile and i still use him to this day. Not only cool looking, but also really cool and strong moves.

He was so fun in mkx I was honestly surprised he isn't just one of those characters who just ends up in every game after. Though who knows what they will do or who will be in the next mortal kombat seeing as the time line is all messed up

His hyper armor, multiple 50/50s, safe string, one of the best okis in the game and competent zoning tools seal the deal. I personally hate to face Aftershock Tremor with that mid-air ground pound
This video makes me reminisce on the 6 hour lab sessions id have with a buddy of mine where it was basically 6 hours of me blocking in the corner against his tremor :)
Tremor is one of the sickest designs (both in terms of visuals and gameplay) to me for sure but I can't praise enough Triborg for the best use of the variation system in MKX/XL period.
Please make more of these, I love finding more about mkx, I don't feel like it's meta is well documented
Tremor had such an impressive overall kit, which let him play well at any range along the fight line. Zoning phase? He's got a quake, a vertical screen, and other projectiles like the "pizza cutter" (which I am convinced was inspired by his fellow Black Dragon member Kabal and his ground buzz saws). He was, if you pardon the pun, a *solid* kombatant who just grew even better with the variation system.
The nerf to overhead rock really hurt his other 2 variations. And thats why crystaline is the premeir variation. Cuz its the variation that is the LEAST dependant on overhead rock.

Earth is my favorite of the four elements so I immediately started playing him. Crystaline was my favorite because I like green and the armor was nice

Metallic Lava Skin Tremor FTW. He's got a fair number of moves and combos that both hit like a truck, and launch into the air. Very execution heavy though. (Love that fiery Rolling Cutter move in his Lava skin subvariation.)
while watching the video, with the SFEX music, makes me think about MK with that type of music, i think it would be really interesting to play this violent game with really creative music in the background lol

Here’s my analysis
Tremor is way too strong on his own, way too easy, has a completely broken low shatter and easily top 2.
But, is a top tier tremor better than some of the top tier dragon fire Liu Kangs?
I don't think Lui Kang dragon fire is that good of a character but it's the players who make him look good. I've used him a lot and I can do the cancels and IAFB, so for me, any match up is good. But I do get rekt by the aliens and crystalline tremors a lot.

I remember being really surprised when I first saw that he was dlc, no doubt the most obscure character that has been brought back has of yet, even tho they changed him completely
There is a decent tremor move, weapon, and special skillset for kreate a fighter in Armageddon plus the capacity of making it look purely as a brown MK ninja, i recently did a new save to add it to my full updated roster and it feels one of the most original custom characters i have, as if it belonged to the roster

what’s funny is that i used to main tremor in MKX, he was easily my favorite character. but, i only really dicked around in private matches with my friends, and never bothered to even look into competitive play at all. finding out my favorite character was also one of the best all along is... bittersweet. i just wish i knew sooner.
I just picked up MKX again, and Tremor is one of the most fun characters to play as. I really like to just say "DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN?" while crushing my opponent with massive pillars of rock.
I’m happy to see Tremor at least be a kameo coming up in mk1. Some of his moves I’ve seen in the Omni man trailer look like they’d compliment my Baraka and Li Mei gameplay.
