Indeed. Very few trolls and rage quitters back then. If you rage quit or trolled you ran the risk of getting banned at best and the s*** beat out of you at worst. Overall, I definitely loved the video. I've been a Tremor main since he was released. There are two things I think everyone could benefit from knowing though: 1.) He had a true Unblockable set-up in the corner when he first came out. His rock drop (DB3) used to come out so quickly, that you could cancel F121 into db3 and the opponent had to respect it, or they ate an overhead. Anyways, The rock drop used to be used as a true unblockable set up in the corner. If Tremor threw out rock drop (overhead), he could throw B3 (a low) at the same time the rock drop would hit. It would also lead to about 40% damage. There are still videos of the computer being set to block all, and they get hit with that set up (pre-patch). Regardless of that, If you successfully threw a rock drop out on the opponent in the corner, you used to have infinite mix. You could wait until the overhead rock hit, then throw out the low, you could throw out the low before the rock drop hit, or you could make them hit at the same time. 2.) The Ground earthquake "detonate" move (Tremor's DD1) you talk about around 8:47 can still be comboed if you grab them while the earthquake hits. You have to tech roll backwards once you're knocked down, but their hit stun is so strong that you can still continue a combo afterwards. Anyways, great video. I hope this is insightful to anyone curious!

Well, technically so was Fujin - or so we thought, at least. Remember when even the game still tried to convince us that Cetrion had killed him (with some of Raiden's dialogues from before Aftermath came out)? If you stop to think about it, Cetrion could even be a "replacement" to Scorpion too, but she's not. What I'm trying to say is that if Netherrealm really wants to bring back Tremor, they'll do it regardless of Cetrion, be it in MK11 or not. And I hope they do.
I feel for you man. I just watched a video about you called the many L's of kotal Kahn. Maybe with enough senzu beans you will get a buff where you can summon totems mid-combo and both of the cat moves take up one slot so that a more useful moves can be added to that variation.
This character is literally my favorite in all of Mortal Kombat history when he dropped, hes basically a earthbending god. I absolutely love this character
a good unblockable imo was also quan chi's in mk9 because you could do a string of his then special move cancel into ex rune trap then go into a string or throw also to anybody who doesnt know some mk9 attack would do 5% chip damage

Best way to balance Tremor’s unblockable, make it deal 5 or 2% damage on knocked down opponents. I’d still like to see him return in the future in some shape or form.

FWIW, Keits (Killer Instinct developer) has said that it's pretty normal to release a character a little overtuned. That way people would be excited to use them, and dig into what they can do, then you can observe what to pull back on. If you release an undertuned character, everyone just gets mad that they suck, and you don't see nearly as much exploration of the character. I'm sure there's some financial incentive to make new DLC seem amazing, too.
I miss Tremor. I really wish we woulda got Premier Skins with mk11. Tremor could easily be a PS for Geras. Keep his normals, but give him Cetrion's rock specials, along with Tremor's form changes.
Addendum: Any sort of moves that do air-to-ground done during wake-up window. EG mkX sektor air missiles and things of that nature. They arent technically unblockable but they are an amazing setup for the aggressor

Goro has groundpound that functions like that. The damage scales down. Had it before tremor hit the scene. Goro also has ex Krush which is arguably a top unblockable, it's essentially a super fast unblockable Teleport with 2 hits armor, that hits on the way up and on the way down.
You should do one on “hard to blockables” like how when quan chi got a hard knockdown he could summon the bat and make it go low while he was swinging his sword overhead.
Goro also had an OTG unblockable, but his was actually balanced because it was in only one variation and it re standed the oponent but you were minus 1 on hit, it was great to end rounds or prevent smoke from using his invincibility frames. Also Goro had 2 more unblockables that were universal, his command grab and his jump stomp, the meter burn jump stomp was probably his best because it was armored at the beginning and it was quicker so sometimes you could catch opponents off guard, plus it was great against zoning. Tremor's unblockable was insane though, he had so many options once you were knocked down as well

It was both fun to watch and to play regardless of the balance most people loved it and considered it one of their favorite fighting games. Mk made a name for themselves with that game by having super fast gameplay with combos that delete your health bar. I’m not here to become a pro, I’m here to have fun and mkx supplied where mk11 lacked.
broootal warp mkx just gives you much more options, the run button made it easy to deal with zoners even if your character didn’t have a teleport forcing your opponent to not rely on it as much, the gameplay was also fast and exciting, mk 11 removed the run mechanic, is much slower, and just isn’t nearly as exciting. And the combo system was great because it had great synergy with the run mechanic by letting you do combos you otherwise couldn’t if the run mechanic wasn’t a thing, it added more spice to it and allowed you to be creative with your combos, mk11 basically removed everything that made mkx great.

So, to summarize, this thing was a full screen unblockable attack that doubled as an OTG. Yeah, that's hard to beat against a character who already demonstrated why they are an oki monster.
As a person who kinda sucked at these types of games no matter how much I play them, Tremor (And Blue Beetle tbh) have led to great fights with friends. Yes I know playing these types of games only against friends won't improve my skill but I really don't care. I have no interest in playing online and im having fun as it is. I really don't want to become better at the game than my friends as its not fun for both ends.
You are right about the stomp but when you with salty little tee baggers who are doing the same move again and again. It doesn't matter for them spending the bar because 1 they don't know how to combo and 2 they think that the more damage i do the better I play
Imo mk9 Cyrax's bombs leave any unblockable behind. Not to mention that Tremor was not the only one with the exact same option of hitting knocked down opponents(Boraicho, hellfire Scorpion, Goro kuatan warrior, Jax(?), maybe someone else had, cant remember)
Can we get breakers instead of breakaway in MK11? :(. I love going back to MKX and seeing how I’m not being punished for doing a combo. I also love the animations on breakers. And finally, I love how it resets the neutral.

Breakers also should reset the neutral, not give oki. It happens in a lot of other fighting games. But ok it’s your opinion, think whatever you want.
Tremor is probably one of my favorite fighters in any fighting game of all time. MK Armageddon: Havik. MK9: Probably Cryo Sub Zero or Night Wolf. But, MKX it was Tremor then Predator for me. Mk11: Im with my favorite Mortal Kombat character Sub Zero. But Tremor is my favorite to play hand down.
Tremor is cool but I really loved playing Kano, he was pretty stupid. One of the few characters whose 50/50s wasn't slowed like Erron Black, good anti airs, a really good grappler, and like extremely dumb damage that can get you like 70 percent damage if you had the bar. Don't forget the instant air ball that starts up in 2 frames and was an overhead.
Jax had that unblockable ground pound that was better because it was a 50/50 because you could jump and cancel it mid air instantly or ovhd jump 2 that LAUNCHES for a full combo and then after knocking them down again go for the ground pound unblockable OTG.
My favorite "busted" character in MKX. And my third favorite character in all of NRS history. ❤ (My favorite is Jason and my second favorite is Leatherface btw) so yeah, mkx is my favorite game.
Sheeva's stomp is no where near this one. U can't do setups into a guaranteed unblockable with any other character to my knowledge. Think about an unblockable so busted they had to add damage scaling because he did a combo before using the Unblockable
What about MK9 Cyrax's bombs tho? Those mofos were un-fucking-blockable, unescapable, required no meter either, could be spammed and extend combos too. That had to be the most packed up special move in gaming history imo
Really wished they brought Tremor back. I don't think anyone hated the dude and most people found him really fun. I feel like with some minor tweaking he would fit right into MK11.
I think Sheevas is better in the neutral while Tremors was just free damage at the end of any combo. Which was insane! I honestly enjoyed MKX much more then I ever have with MK11

Just Noticed Geras Is like The New Tremor He controls the Ground/Sand and Also does the same fightimg pose as Tremor.

Tremor is probably one of my favorite fighters in any fighting game of all time. MK Armageddon: Havik. MK9: Probably Cryo Sub Zero or Night Wolf. But, MKX it was Tremor then Predator for me. Mk11: Im with my favorite Mortal Kombat character Sub Zero. But Tremor is my favorite to play hand down.
I never played any of the ninjas in any of the games, but Tremor I like.
I was always really disappointed they never capitalized on Tremor as a character. His design was dope asf he could be great

Tremor is cool but I really loved playing Kano, he was pretty stupid. One of the few characters whose 50/50s wasn't slowed like Erron Black, good anti airs, a really good grappler, and like extremely dumb damage that can get you like 70 percent damage if you had the bar. Don't forget the instant air ball that starts up in 2 frames and was an overhead.
Jax had that unblockable ground pound that was better because it was a 50/50 because you could jump and cancel it mid air instantly or ovhd jump 2 that LAUNCHES for a full combo and then after knocking them down again go for the ground pound unblockable OTG.

Sheeva's stomp is no where near this one. U can't do setups into a guaranteed unblockable with any other character to my knowledge. Think about an unblockable so busted they had to add damage scaling because he did a combo before using the Unblockable

What about MK9 Cyrax's bombs tho? Those mofos were un-fucking-blockable, unescapable, required no meter either, could be spammed and extend combos too. That had to be the most packed up special move in gaming history imo

Really wished they brought Tremor back. I don't think anyone hated the dude and most people found him really fun. I feel like with some minor tweaking he would fit right into MK11.
Tremor his really good for combos and annoying when you just spam his moves over and over again like Darkseid from injustice 2
I think Sheevas is better in the neutral while Tremors was just free damage at the end of any combo. Which was insane! I honestly enjoyed MKX much more then I ever have with MK11
