At 3:20, I really like that Sheldon said he is "looking after" Paige, not "looking for" Paige. He really cares for Paige in his own way.
If an adult man had said the same about his lady friend, feminists would have dissed him saying he was being "paternalistic". If he didn't step in to "look after" an adult woman who got drunk voluntarily thinking that she has made her choice as an adult, risky though it may be , he still would be dissed for not doing enough to "protect" a girl. I am a lady but I find this argument of feminists quite weird. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

And if you stop whining, you will see lots of media content about people (particularly friends and comrades) having one another's backs and being thanked for that, sometimes later as hot heads cool. That is different from treating adult women as children by default.

That's the difference between Sheldon's mom and Paige's mom. They are both equally smart, bright and gifted. But different sets of parents have taken them down completely different roads. Sheldon is damn luckier!
they have always been different since first time Paige on the show. Paige has been always more to having fun, and she is on the other side of autistic spectrum than sheldon.
In a way they are quite similar. Sheldon’s mom is doing a horrible parenting job because her attention is only focused on Sheldon. In the first episode Paige was in, her father confessed that his daughter gets all the attention in the family. It was the reason her parents split up, and she blames herself for it. In Sheldon’s case, he is almost always reason to why his parents fight, but he is too oblivious to realize it.
not really, sheldon doesnt have the need to socialize he is fine being alone, he only needs what hes used to. while peige like any other kid struggle to fit in n wants to be included n liked. shes socially aware like missy. n look at what happened to missy with the same mom as sheldon.

You can’t compare Paige to Missy, because even though they are both very sociable, Missy is always the forgotten child while Paige ends up with all the attention from her mother (just like I stated before). Besides, I never said they (Sheldon and Paige) were the exact same, but rather that they have more in common than people realize. Just like their mothers.

she played in more than 60 films and tv shows.
scenes like these do test Sheldon's ability to help/feel empathy for people. You can tell that even tho he does not know how to help Paige, he at least tries to help/protect her. It is good that missy is helping her as well but it would have been more interesting if Sheldon spent the night helping Paige alone.
The actress is normally busy so I have no idea what they have plan for Paige but hopefully it is something written well.
Theory:
The way Paige character is evolving,it is seeming more and more that her arc might end up in a tragic way.
One thing that also support this is how we can see that Sheldon in young Sheldon is much more sociable than early TBBT Sheldon.
The reasons for that could be Paige’s death which traumized Sheldon and led to him to even more social isolation.That is sadly also the best possible reason that she doesn’t get mentioned in tbbt

Why assume she dies? Also it’s Sheldon lack of empathy and perspective that makes him more isolated. Sheldon was alway the real bully even on TBBT and young Sheldon just helps show that even more.

Sheldon is a great and loyal friend. He hates parties and call it hell but still goes into that hell in order to look after his friend. And he also cares about his sister when he asked "does mom and dad know you are here?" and eventually got her out of the party as well. All this shows he cares deeply about his family and friends.
In TBBT he also helped penny and leonard maintain their relationship so many times. He always. He is a difficult person to live with but he has a good heart.
When he drove penny to the hospital when she dislocated her shoulder, when he lend money to penny when she was broke, when he didn't tell on leonard for breaking the elevator, how he helped bernadette when she was pregnant to clean their closet, and also clean penny's apartment. That's why i like his character and his flaws as well
This is the only true time Sheldon truly shows to care for someone besides himself

The irony is that by lying to her parents about staying over at her friends house, Missy may very well have saved Paige (and Bradley) from a disastrous situation. Without Missy being at the party, Sheldon doesn't run into her, pull the plug on the band and get them thrown out of the party, where they see Paige leaving with Bradley.

I feel like this is a excuses used by Missy whe she returned home.
Paige is a lot more real than Sheldon she would have made a great character
Sheldon is the reason for the show
Sheldon is stuck in a narrative lock because of his growth on the Big Bang Theory. Which was cute in the first couple seasons of this show, but now it's restricting any growth for his character. Everyone else is way more interesting than him and probably why the show is retaining viewership.
Other than being a genius, she's a normal teenage girl.

I like Amy but I really would have loved a relationship between Sheldon and paige
It’s too bad TBBT ended before they could show us a grown up Paige. Even if she ended up choosing a life outside academia, she’d still be a genius who could comprehend all the science and she knows how to get under Sheldon’s skin, which the guys and penny would love. Plus, Amy would likely be jealous of her, which could lead to some fun drama. Plus, we might get more Missy and Georgie as a connection to YS.
Now that I think about it, she, like Sheldon, could find her people among within the group. So, a shame.
I think in a voice over we'll find out that Paige goes back to high school, and chooses to live a "normal" life, marries and has a couple of really bright kids who she deliberately does not push academically.
Perhaps she dies of an overdose or so. This would explain why Sheldon never mentioned her

Because she was never considered by the writers. That's the only reason why. Better Call Saul had a devil of a time creating character's story lines that gave some reasonable explanation why they weren't mentioned in Breaking Bad

I would love for this to be an alternate timeline and Sheldon gets with Paige, that would be amazing
I believe this scene and at the end season 6 with his falling out with Missy may explain why Paige is never mentioned in TBBT. Sheldon feels responsible for the welfare of Paige and Missy and does what he feels will protect them. With Missy it backfires. In the future, I believe Paige will also do something destructive that will either get her in trouble or ruin her life, which Sheldon will try to help with but will only annoy her and cause her to negativity react. She'll tell him to get lost forever and he'll never meddle again.
