Memaw deserved to have that baby named after her. She did so much for both mandy and georgie through it all.
Absolutely true, she gave mandy a home a job also to georgie and lets not forget how she had to suffer being in jail for help his grandson to win more money for a better life for little constance Meemaw is a great woman
Should’ve named her Georgia, after George and Georgie. Also if they aren’t married and have had the baby out of wedlock the baby is now born with curses that must be broken in Jesus’ name
@Christ is my Lord How can you say she's cursed b/c she's born out of wedlock while also saying she should be named after her illegitimate father & alcoholic grandfather who's on the verge of having an affair? If she's cursed for one, she's cursed for the other & you're calling for those responsible for the curses to be honored.

Georgie and Mandy naming their baby constance was the right thing to do 😊 it's a good name to give to a baby girl ♥

Big shout out to Sheldon this episode for being the main reason Mandy was able to go to the hospital and was the one to fix Georgie's convertible car seat and unintentionally gave his brother the confidence to actually go see his newborn child. Funny how the Cooper kids are acting much more mature than the adults this episode (except for Pastor Rob).
Only thing I disagree on is the pastor Rob part. It was absolutely Mary's responsibility to not bring the guy her husband hages to the birth of their granddaughter, but pastor Rob should have respected that a family affair is a family affair, especially since George doesn't really care about Christianity & he doesn't even know Georgie and Mandy.
Nobody needs sheldon. Mandy would have figured out to call Brenda or a taxi, by herself. Sheldon is a selfish stupid pain.

I knew from the moment they started showing George Sr in a positive light, that they would try to balance out the blame when the affair occurs. We already knew Mary Cooper liked strawberry wine when she was younger, and committed adultery with a man named Ron, who had a "perfect booty." So far Ron has not made an appearance, unless Mary slipped up or lied and meant Pastor Rob.

Sheldon was a nuisance but matured as a teen but then regressed and then matured again. Sheldon had to grow up fast because many people expect big things because he’s smart. Missy on the other hand can be just as bad as Sheldon when she misbehaves and she gets bad by 13.
George Jr really did step up! Pleased they named her Connie!

I wonder how this will come into play when sheldon catches him cheating. He mentions that his father never talked to him about it and tried to bribe him to keep him quiet.
I feel like if George and Mary start living separately as discussed at the end of this video, Brenda would probably come to George's room one night and that's when Sheldon could catch them by accident.
Sheldon finding out will be the ultimate breaking point. He’s terrible at keeping secrets. I wonder if George’s bribe will make him feel like a scammer once Sheldon spills the beans, since he can’t keep secrets. He will give george back his money, I guess
He mentioned that the woman was a "blonde bartender who tried to buy his affection with action figures". The first part is true with Brenda. But I can't imagine her loving Sheldon enough to buy him anything..

@@vivianebastien2159 I think that the writers initially wanted both Sheldon and missy to be very smart but in different ways. I think they just dropped the idea of missy being smart for some reason and decided to make her dumb. Maybe to fit the canon presented by the Big Bang theory a bit better

George and Mary have needed to have a real conversation about their situation. Georgie getting a girl pregnant was where it all started, because it brought up a question I don't think either one of them have really asked themselves: if Mary didn't get pregnant with Georgie, would they even be together?
Mary practically tried to force Georgie and Mandy to be together, not because they loved each other, but because "it's the right thing to do." That's what led to George and Mary's argument, which led to George ending up at a bar where he met Brenda. We still don't know how far that has gone.
Do they love each other, or are they just together for the kids? Until they ask that question, they're just slamming their head against a wall.
Mary also tried to force being raised Baptist on the child but I don’t think that’s gonna go anywhere. I don’t think they would be together if Mandy wasn’t pregnant

@@mrmelonman2893 No argument on beliefs, but in Mary's case, I don’t feel sorry for her. She used the church as a way to bury her head in the sand. Then she stuck around Jeff because she pretty much wanted to invite him for an evening atop Mount Knockboots.
To review:
1. She has one son whom she has spoiled beyond belief. Nobody has ever had the conversation with Sheldon, “Simply because you have a very high IQ does not give you the right to treat others like they ain't worth shit. You come off as self-centered, incredibly arrogant, dismissive, and cold. You refuse to comprehend the world does not revolve around you and that for all your intellect, you are at risk of dying a lonely adult. Sorry Shelly, people don't pick on you just because you are different. They do it because you are a narcissistic little asshole!!”
2. She has another son with even bigger problems where he has a knocked up girlfriend who is much older than he is and even in Texas that is statutory rape. Now, I am not implying foul play of any kind since George Jr. lied, but Mary ain’t all that bright in seeing about ten to fifteen years ahead. Time to get a lawyer and cover some butts in case the relationship between George and Mandy goes to pot. It could get vicious real fast. George might feel he was “seduced” and use that to get a settlement, Mandy might mention the lie Georgie made, and the baby could easily slip into a tug of war.
This does not even include the fact that her son has no marketable skills in the diploma department or that she barely notices her church is hypocritical regarding sinners. Let he who is born without sin cast the first stone?-Naaah, Mary, you just ignore they turned on you like a pit full of cobras because they cannot handle any frank conversations about sex. Go on, keep ignoring that you go there out of guilt for your own rebellious past while not realizing that you don’t need the approval of these people, much like you would have never gotten it from your Sheldon-clone father.
3. Her daughter needs her because she is most likely to emulate her, but since the family dynamic revolves WAAAAY too much around her twin, and now Georgie, poor Missy is neglected. Missy is going to wind up on the back of some guy's Harley, just like Mom. I am calling it now. Since nobody will give a damn what she does, that means nobody is gonna pay attention until it is too lat and she is making the beast with two backs in the school parking lot .
Mary does not see the way out is through being there for Missy, not kneeling in a pew. Mary can’t go back and fix her own mistakes. Too late. But she can stop Missy from making the same ones. Too bad, again, her head is up her butt. And she CHOOSES to keep it there.
You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. If Jesus were to show up on her doorstep, he would probably tell her, “SHUUUUT UPPP!!! I am this close to a restraining order and what I really want from you is to GO HOME!!!! I want you to take that whiny atheist to therapy and get him tested for NPD, I want you to pay more attention to your baby girl, and as for your other son, tell that muppet he is getting a GED or he can sleep in a VAN down by the river!! And for fucksake, go kill Brenda Sparks!!! She's sniffing around your husband!! “
