Sheldon does get all of Mary's attention and he does get pretty much whatever he wants. And just because gave him one paddle on his butt one time, does not really change anything.

Paige and Shelfon really shows two sides of being genius. Paige makes Sheldon's lack of EQ a good thing. She never embraced her abilities like Sheldon did. When she earned for attention, he commanded it. Missy's rebilious phase took a even worse turn because of Paige and pastor's niece.
Missy did ignore George and Mary when they tried to be for her, which in turn made them more ignorant towards her. That's viscous cycle!
And Missy gets even worse when George dies (stated on TBBT)
When has Mary tried to be there for Missy? An entire childhood of neglect can’t be fixed by paying attention a single night.
@@pharma2546 I am not supporting Mary, but yes there were times Missy ignored her when she tried to talk. Mary was focused on Sheldon, which made Missy indifferent towards her, when Mary tried it wasn't well received, while Mary should have tried harder, she just gave up! It's a vicious cycle with Mary and Missy, which started with Mary.
@@anju43458It's also because Missy had already found a confidant in Meemaw who didn't go nuclear upon hearing about her 'boy problems' or anything else which she [Mary] herself might have gone through as a kid. Also, to me it feels as if Mary treats Missy sharing personal stuff with her like a conquest at times. Because Mary only feels 'left out' when Missy and Meemaw are having a good time without her and Sheldon's not in sight. It doesn't feel like her wanting to talk stems from genuine concern for Missy.

I think this episode is when the actress that plays Missy got into an actual car accident with her mom that morning on the way to set so she was having bad anxiety doing the car scenes but she got through it with all of the cast helping her and support but she was scared cuz the person that hit them were drunk

Missy Incessantly gets the short end of the stick when it comes to which of the twins get the bulk of loving attention frm the parents.
When she speaks up, they either send her to her room, or snap at her: not now Missy!
But Sheldon comes along w/ the boo-boo wah!! And he gets a hug. Missy being fully of indignation, packs up n steals the truck.
Honestly, both the twins are treated like a shoo fly type of way.. Mary and George have even admitted sheldon gets on their nerves.. just like when they got back from Germany and Mary liked having breakfast without him. She also has gotten mad at him for voicing his own opinions about things. Once he hit a certain age Mary stopped paying much mind to him as well. She even seemed irritated at him often.

Far too many people use TV as an analysis of real life instead of light entertainment written and acted by relative mediocre people in the theatrical profession.
I get it with kids that have no actual life experience and are trying to to fake it. When the person is 50...well that is sad

Well, Missy is like George and Mary's teenage days, of course they understand her, because that was them in their teenage days. Sheldon is foreign for them, and parents tend to side with weaker kids, it's their paternal instinct. If you got children with mental problems like autistic or mental block, you will give them more attention than normal kids.

#1 - Stomping on their hands so many times until they get broken bones.
#2 - Dropping a giant chandelier on them.
#3 - Destroying all their favorite video tapes.
#4 - Forcing them to consume half-and-half instead of milk on cereal.
#5 - Being attacked by the chickens at the Sparks residence.
#6 - Making them fill in for Goldilocks and babysit 3 real-life bears in the woods.
#7 - Popping their yoga balls (assuming they had those) with pens launched from a slingshot.
#8 - Both get a "Concussion Time" by Fred from Scooby-Doo. (popular one)
#9 - Donating all the girls' favorite books, toys, clothes, and even beds to charity.
#10 - Being trapped in their rooms for the entire spring break with absolutely zilch!
