I want Sheldon to stop talking. It makes me want to turn the show off. I’m his frequent and constant babble is do stupid. Smart child doesn’t know when to close his mouth.
Cant belive Sheldon pays more attention to his sister than their parents do🙄
But it also shows that unlike them he always has an eye for her. Even though she likes to mess with him, he truly cares for her and seeks contact with her.

Well as far as I know, its the brother that knows of their sister more than their parents can know their own daughter. That is, until the sister gets married and the husband will practically know all about the sister cause they live together.

Her parents absolutely not realizing their young teen daughter was missing, and wouldn’t have for who knows how long if it wasn’t for the truck, is exactly why Missy ran away.
Even back then, it wasn’t a good look at all to be in this situation with your child.

It was literally less then a day and his father was respecting her needing time to calm down what the fuck is wrong with him!
This story arc points out that Missy was virtually ignored in favor of Sheldon. This, not finding out that she's gone until everyone else is accounted for, and the truck is gone is very neglectful. I had three kids, myself, and I always knew where all three were at all times. I get that Georgie just had a kid and Sheldon is smart, but they've kind of left Missy to her own devices, ignored her. What else did they expect?
They expected her to behave and not to steal trucks, not to run away, not to do what she wanted to do after they told her no. She still living under her parents roof. One of the main problems of our country is the fact that nobody is held accountable for their own behavior and giving her a way out, an excuse, a justification only does her harm because she thinks she can get away with it and that is exactly what led her into the life she had in The Big Bang Theory

Every Child needs their Parents! The fact that Mary and George we're basically neglectful towards Missy, it's no surprise that Missy was acting out..
It was a difficult time for everyone. That doesn't excuse what they did, but they probably didn't know how bad it was and would have helped if they could

Just because it was a tough time for everyone, doesn't give them the right to do that to her ever. A lot of tough moments happened with my family, but there was never a time where they forgot about me or my brother, you don't do that to your child, they are still your priority, and they failed her, big time. I hate when people make that argument "you have clothes on your back, you have a roof over your head, you get three meals a day", so? That doesn't defend your actions in the end. What so you have a pass on ignoring your child because your doing the bare minimum? get the hell out of here with that!

You should get your hair colored in black instead I don’t want the hair that is too much and the black color will look like the other way but it’s fine because the black will make up the other side but it’s a really pretty and the gray and black color doesn’t match the color of it because you can just go straight into my skin if it’s too hard I think you could use that for like two days a little longer to make a color change the hair and maybe some kind like you have like some highlights like highlights

I love how missy stands up for herself and creates a new life, because she can finally get the attention she craves! Although, it is not the best choice, maybe she will be noticed and cherished as a vital part of the family. They will realize how good she is when she is away.
@@christopherbingham5092 They should've (promised to cherish her). She ran away because she didn't feel loved and needed her parents attention (because yes, kids need that attention). If they started to treat her better, it would fix the underlying issue. Just punishing for the truck stealing only fixes the surface level problem, leading to more problems in the future.
We can sympathize with Missy's plight but come on, running away is not ''starting a new life'', it's being hurt and acting out because of it. Also, she didn't succeed so... they won't realize anything as she's not ''away''

I feel sorry for Missy because she felt neglected but to be honest I think she went too far when she actually steals her dad's truck and ran away, at the age of 13 too. What I realise for Sheldon is that he always reaches out for his parents in almost anything regardless they can understand him or not while Missy often drives them away and prefer not to share most things about her life with her parents then still blames them for not knowing anything about her. Even on the latest episode when Missy went to her mother Mary to ask for advice and Mary was thrilled that her daughter reach out for her, Missy then shows discomfort with Mary's reaction and just walks away, which was plain rude i think. I also remember how Missy blows the baseball trophy that Mary made for her out of love and i was pissed off with how Missy doesnt show any appreciation for Mary's effort eventhough it was a weird trophy. George also shows support for her when she was interested to play baseball eventhough the team doesnt allow girls. The fact they didnt realise that Missy ran away is not fully a sign of neglection but it indicates that they have trust in Missy and didnt expect her to pull off something like that. For me, Missy always use the neglection excuse and accuse her parents for not understanding her just so she can get what she wants or as a sympathy to get away with any trouble she had and i believe she behave that way because its her own nature and choice and not even related to her parents. Nowadays she often shows her rebellious side like going to parties and lying to her parents to make up for the attention she didnt get. I know Missy is just a character but its just my opinion tho. Please dont be mad if you disagree...
I don't think she went too far. You can't expect her to behave rationally when right from season one or two, can't remember, as 9 year olds or so, she knew that she didn't get enough attention from her parents. I don't blame Missy at all and I don't think she went too far. What did you expect a 13 year old to do?

When I was a kid probably like 11 or 12 I remember riding home with my mom and dad. I was mad about something I don’t remember what but I wanted to run away from home. I made it a few steps outside of our front yard…stood there for a minute…and went back inside. And that was the end of it. 😂
