Young Sheldon Season 5 Episode 4
Young Sheldon is an American comedy television series on CBS created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro. The series is a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory and begins with the character Sheldon Cooper at the age of nine, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school. Iain Armitage stars as young Sheldon, alongside Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Montana Jordan, Raegan Revord, and Annie Potts. Jim Parsons, who portrays the adult Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory, narrates the series and serves as an executive producer.
No wonder Sheldon reacts to fighting the way he does.

He died because he was a sinner. Lust is the wages of death- cheating on your wife is despicable, if you can't control your lust for one woman, better to remain celibate/bachelor, this is why Priests usually don't marry, as it is said, for the Kingdom of God, one should remain single.

@@vanillat5613 yeah dropping out is a bad idea and hereâs why,The consequences of dropping out of high school are that you will be more likely to become a prison inmate or the victim of a crime. You will also have a higher chance of becoming homeless, unemployed, and/or unhealthy. Simply put, a lot of bad stuff potentially happens if you drop out, then again thatâs not gonna happen to Georgie
I think one issue is George and Mary were so reactive. They didnât stop and get on the same page first before going in. What was their end goal? A lot of parents fail there. Very realistic.
Mary always thought she was right. There can be more than 1 right way to do something but to Mary her way was best & therefore the only option.
...and a lot of children failed in their lives because they think they know everything.
@@spinplasmonics Yes to be clear, Iâm not saying Georgie is in the right. Iâm just talking about George and Mary.
@@sonicadventure3130 well actually he is sort of... Schools not going to do anything for him atm... All its doing is hindering him. It's holding him back from his full potential when it's supposed to help him get to his full potential. School has already taught him the things he knows but it won't teach him the things he needs to succeed in his current pathway. It is why Memaw and Dale are backing him up on this. They are aware that this is what he needs to do. Finishing school isn't for everyone. Many successful people drop out, many smart people dropped out, why? Because school wasn't doing anything for them. We are believed that we need to finish school so we can be successful in life but that's not always the case. Actually he did take some community college classes which required GED so technically he did finish high school and then community college and then became successful with his tire business
He only turned out good because his father died and he had to grow up quick
Sheldon's voice is on its first level of changing.
But unfortunately, he doesn't like change, so let's see how he reacts to further puberty.
Billy changed significantly.
We know that MISSY eventually graduated from high school (or at least got her GED) because Sheldon said so. The part about it taking her SIX YEARS could have been something of an exaggeration on his part (or I suppose maybe not, if she was struggling to come to terms with George's death during much of her time in regular high school, a factor which Sheldon may not have grasped), but I don't think he would have said the part about her having EVENTUALLY finished high school if she HADN'T eventually finished high school.
Considering when we first met her she's working as a hostess at a restaurant I doubt it was an exaggeration.
Maybe Sheldon said it took missy 6 years to graduate because it felt like it did because she didnât skip grades like he did.
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 or maybe the script writers came up with a throw away joke without consideration. Recall at one point in TBBT Mary said that her other two kids were dumb as stumps. It turns out that wasn't true.
@@kaiaswrld Sheldon has shown himself to be an unreliable narrator.
No. Six years of high school means Missy got held back twice, which is believable cause Missy was poor in school before Georgeâs death. With Georgeâs death, you can imagine she would had done even worse in school.
Pretty much no parent wants to hear that their child won't graduate high school. Y'all can whine all you want, but the chances of making it big without even a high school degree is quite low. Why would a parent want to risk their child's future like that?
On the other hand, Georgie is young and industrious. Maybe they could've given him a year or two, if it's going well then he can continue, if not it ain't too late to go back to school.
Yeah. From a parents perspective what he us doing can preety much destroy his life. I agree with them for once.
Finally someone understand this well...if their child is talented and have passion toward individual career why not give it a chance they can alway come back to school. It a small prize to pay for big success.
But you also shouldnât need a piece of paper to get a basic job.
@@DAgamon21 maybe in an ideal world, (which doesn't exist). Diplomas are only good to get you manual labor jobs and maybe cashier jobs, (but you NEED Math for that one). A "Sheepskin" USED to be able to get you started, but after 27 years in the Army, I spent my GI bill on Computer IT and Communications degrees and it still didn't land me a job, because it wasn't "3-5 years of professional work experience", (also I was 52, so ageism still happens). But, If I had been a parent, I'd make all of my kids get those diplomas, because they look better on resumes than a G.E.D.
@Loveme Hateme You know what's so funny? I've applied for jobs that I had several years of experience in, (when I was a bit younger), and yet I wasn't hired because I didn't have a degree in those professions. Go figure huh? For several decades, (let's just say during the 80's and 90's), having a degree is what got you "in the door", then you had to show your stuff. Nowadays, it takes BOTH to get a really good job, BUT, you have to know someone who'll put in a good word for you too, or it's just a roll of the dice if you get the job there's a LOT more going on to get a job in this country than most are willing to admit. Right now the Labor force says they can't find workers to hire. The biggest problem is, they don't want to pay workers any more money than they did since before the pandemic started.

Yeah, but in BBT he was a college dropout I thought...not a high school dropout... and in Mary's defense she wouldn't know the future... tbh I think in BBT she still doesn't appreciate Georgie's success. Anyway, I actually don't know if a high school diploma is really required to have a successful business... but as Sheldon said by the time he's 16 he can choose to drop out and if he needs the diploma, he can always get his GED. He isn't really ruining his life, he's just making a huge risk.
He did graduate high school tho. It said in the episode that he attended community college and the only way to get into one is to have a hs diploma or GED
It is obvious that Georgie returns, if we remember the conversation he already has with Sheldon when they are older and wants to invite him to his wedding, after the death of Geroge, the junior becomes the "man of the house" something that Sheldon tells him. He will open his eyes at that moment of what really happened, since he only believed that Georgie was not studying. because he wasn't smart, but he had to keep working to help his mother and keep Sheldon in college without worry. And if they do something different, in this series, there would hypothetically be a Flashpoint.
Maybe they could have convinced Georgie that finishing highschool and then going on to college for a business degree would be more in line with his goals
