I absolutely agree with George Snr. Some people just need to mind their own business! What Georgie does is his and his family’s business, not the entire congregation!
To be fair, this was his own fault as he blurted out the secret to that black coach. You can’t tell a secret to random strangers expecting them to keep a promise not to divulge it.
It baffles me how Mary blames Missy for defending Georgie since it further emphasizes the fact that she & Missy did NOT have the best relations with each other. Georgie isn’t much better either since she treats him almost the same as Missy. Meanwhile, Mary babies Sheldon way too much which makes her biased & hypocritical.
Defending someone by becoming aggressive??? Who in their right mind would cheer their child up for such behaviour. The kid said mean, stupid things, she should have use her words as well or just ignore him. Where exactly do you think she would end up if for every idiot saying somethin stupid she'd become aggressive? I tell you where, in prison. Because they cannot control themselves and have parents who apparently approve or forget to educate them?
@@potocatepetl I understand your side from where your coming from in a pacifistic perspective, but like they said before, that kid should’ve kept his big mouth shut since he deliberately ignored the brutal warnings that Missy gave him. This is pretty standard across all families. Moms always baby the little boys and give the daughters a hard time. I think it's because Missy probably reminds Mary of herself at that age and Mary is very ashamed of who she was before she found the church.

Well in fairness to him, he's gonna have a baby in 9 months and he's a teenager, so he's freaked out and overwhelmed, plus him and mandy is a massive problem, moreso than family reputation.
I disagree. I think Georgie did the right thing by trying to stick by Mandy because if he had left her alone and deal with the mess of being pregnant, then the family would get more flack from the community. I told her to leave me alone multiple times, she didn't listen, and I snapped and punched her hard. I gave her a black eye, a broken nose, and a concussion. The principal wanted to expel me even though I've never been a violent student before. My mom was not having it because she has tried numerous times to get the school to stop kids from bullying me; nothing was done. She went straight to the superintendent of the entire district, and she sided with me. I hate it whenever people stand up to bullies, they're the ones who get in trouble, and the bully gets off scott-free.
It's sweet that billy stands up for missy and that's pretty nice.
that girl (Billy's sister) was bullying Sheldon and Missy, instead of teaching the girl a lesson, she instead befriends the girl, but this boy she punches? missy and unfair when it comes to boys
I feel Missy and George both did the right thing. I hate how parents think their kids can say what they want and not expect consequences.

Not Missy.
“My mom said they should kick your whole family out of the church”
“How about I kick your ass”
this is why i love missy
If I was one of the kids parents I would say, "What would you do if you was in Missy's shoes?"
I’d have punched that kid in the face as well
The only people who are allowed to talk bad about my sibling is his family not some little brat

Missy was right; George senior was right.
Missy still did it the wrong way. Punching someone isn’t the way to do this.
Billy has a good heart. He's innocent and kind. And it's his best asset.
Billy has a heart of gold.

A classic case of how un Christian many Churches can be.
Absolutely ryt
@donk8105 And trailer parks have become the new hood
@donk8105 FRRRRRR
Some..not many. But they're emphasized by their detractors to make the exception seem like the rule. IN truth, they're better than their counterparts most of the time.
I loved missy defending her brother
Me three.
Me four
To be fair, it is cause people were making fun of her.
We all need a Missy in our corner. ❤
I absolutely agree with George Snr. Some people just need to mind their own business! What Georgie does is his and his family’s business, not the entire congregation!
Well, a lot of those churches have ppl who will always be there for you and at the same time are always in your business.
To be fair, this was his own fault as he blurted out the secret to that black coach. You can’t tell a secret to random strangers expecting them to keep a promise not to divulge it.
Missy was standing up for her family.
Children/teenagers that believe in justice with the fist end up in the juvenile courts (newly you can see them on CZcams) and destroy their entire life for what? Because they cannot control themselves and have parents who apparently approve or forget to educate them?
@@potocatepetl I understand your side from where your coming from in a pacifistic perspective, but like they said before, that kid should’ve kept his big mouth shut since he deliberately ignored the brutal warnings that Missy gave him. In her defense, the entire public was uncontrollably persecuting Missy & her family way too much beyond the Cooper family’s reach so it’s at least understandable as to why she would feel frustrated.
This is pretty standard across all families. Moms always baby the little boys and give the daughters a hard time. I think it's because Missy probably reminds Mary of herself at that age and Mary is very ashamed of who she was before she found the church.
@@potocatepetl I've taken both decisions, where I beat and verbally attacked. Trust me when I say it feels so much better to beat someone who talks trash, than to use big words. Sure, I got punished for it, but honestly it felt so much better, since I noticed afterwards that the person was more weary of verbally abuse me again.
The kids learn from their judgemental parents in that scene. They pass their judgements onto their children, and the child sees this as appropriate. I really do find it upsetting how their Mum treats Sheldon, while giving Missy a hard time.
When raising your voice doesn't work it's time to raise your hand. Missy understands the only course was the one taken.
Ma boii billy is a real man right there
that girl (Billy's sister) was bullying Sheldon and Missy, instead of teaching the girl a lesson, she instead befriends the girl, but this boy she punches? missy and unfair when it comes to boys
The church members have forgotten the Bible verse that says, "Judge not lest ye be judged".
Did anyone not see the irony of a church congregation that believes in forgiveness and that only the Lord can pass judgment, turning their backs on an entire family and passing judgment themselves?
I Think Missy And Georgie Have Pretty Much Stoled This Show And I LOVE IT!!!
Thats true, isn't it? Sheldon provides comic relief but the story is about the other characters.
Missy sounded so upset when that kid said Georgie was going to hell
No shit
"Your brother's going to Hey-ellll"
This kid channeled his inner closeted televangelist
thats how it should be! siblings give each other hell but they always have each other’s back
I'm with George I would reward my kid for standing up for her family
Billy is the nicest kid. I use to stick up for awkward kids and kids with Down syndrome in High School. It wasn’t right the way people treated some people. I ended up being a medical retired Army Airborne Combat Vet at the age of 38. Go figure, some people just want to help others. Billy is a perfect example of that.
that girl (Billy's sister) was bullying Sheldon and Missy, instead of teaching the girl a lesson, she instead befriends the girl, but this boy she punches? missy and unfair when it comes to boys
Mary had such a misplaced loyalty to pastor Rob and the church. And when Georgie and Mandy got pregnant he kicked her out of the church. Some friends
This is small town Texas Baptist and this is realistic....
@@maestroclassico5801 yes sir. I understand that they are extremely religious. I am religious too. But that would be a very hard slap in the face.

Pastor rob didn’t kick her out. He was actually trying to stand up for Mary. Pastor Jeff did not kick Mary out of church, but sent her on a leave of absence.

I luv missys actor. She's so talented
That kid who told it to her face is still more real than the people who talked about Missy's brother behind her back.
What frosts me is when Pastor Jeff asked the Coopers to leave the church. Mary stood by this pastor when his wife left him and helped him find a better one. What does that say about Pastor Jeff?
That he's a hypocrite, like most "Christians" are.
It says that he's a hypocrite and a creep.
It would have been awesome if Mary reminded him about his failed marriage and her support during his dark time.
Billy is the best guy... and Missy is a spitfire... Love these two ...
Georgies is such a great brother ❤❤ I just love his character ❣️❣️

"Primarily because hell isn't real."
Bingo, Yahtzee! That's the correct answer!
Technically it is real: it's called the Earth's core.
@TimberlakeTigerGirl Most planets have a molten core, tho.
@@akio2589 Not the point. Have you ever been into a deep mine or cavern? Because the temperature down there gets so hot your think you just stepped into hell.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl 1. It depends on where the mine is. 2. Mines are ventilated and cooled.
At or near sea level to start, the geothermal gradient past 100 ft is ~1 degree/30 ft. And while it does get pretty warm in deep mines, I wouldn't call it "hellish."
Not yet, one day it will be.
The best episode of Young Sheldon, especially Missy’s punch 😂😂

The only thing that bothering me about this situation is Georgie not caring about what he did affecting the family, all he keeps moaning about is Mandy.
Well in fairness to him, he's gonna have a baby in 9 months and he's a teenager, so he's freaked out and overwhelmed, plus him and mandy is a massive problem, moreso than family reputation.
I think he does care, but, he doesn't know what to do. He's only 17.
I disagree. I think Georgie did the right thing by trying to stick by Mandy because if he had left her alone and deal with the mess of being pregnant, then the family would get more flack from the community. Possibly even ran out of town if Georgie did abandoned Mandy. So in a sense, he did care about the family image, loosely. But in reality, the community needs to be taught a lesson for acting like hypocritical disgraced for turning their backs on them during their tough times.
Id say he handled it all pretty well for being 17. Its not he didnt care its that its happening and there is no point dwelling on whatever, just try to make the best of it because that bell cant be unrung.

Sheldon: “ primarily because hell isn’t real”

Public schools do exactly the same thing with "zero tolerance" violence policy. The kid who reacts gets expelled and the kid bullying gets a pass.
I’m definitely starting a war in this comment section here but people standing for Missy really shows the level of maturity of our society.
What she did was called justice. That little sob was a bully, saying horrible things about her family. He had it coming as do all bullies who get their comeuppance when their victim had enough.
@@TimberlakeTigerGirl No what she did was called assault and battery and that’s illegal.
@Preston61 And people wonder why bully victims start school shootings. Because they aren't allowed to retaliate against people who make their lives miserable. They always get in trouble for defending themselves, and the bully gets off scot-free.
I personally had to deal with that when I knocked out a girl for bullying me. The bully who I punched was suspended for a week, and the principal was put on notice for failing to help a student prone to being bullied. As for me, I only got a warning not to do it again.
