In stock form I'd still go for the cu2 ,it's a lot of car for the money here in South africa , manual also is hard to find and has really cool features that I wish my type S had , the cl9 was a cheeky honda sedan built for guys that had no choice but to put on a facade that they've grown up , but haven't. Either way if you own any of these , you're a happy boy regardless. Awesome content keep it up.

I just bought my 1st cu2 today and wow it is bloody nice. I was afraid it was going to be abit small inside (I'm 5ft 11 and quite a big fella) and I was pleasantly surprised about how much room there was in both the front and rare seats. The rare seats do look small but when I sat in them it felt very comfortable with adequate leg room. The cabin is so quiet and road noise is barely there. I have the 5sp auto with paddle shifters and man it can go! I made a decision to either get a car for long trips and work OR to add a few mods. Once I realized my bank account was laughing at me I opted for the less tunable option. Throttle response does feel abit laggy but after checking airfilter it looked like it had been sitting in years worth of poop so I'm off to repco for a new filter. Hopefully that will help. Your videos are great. Straight to the bloody point - EXACTLY how kiwis are. Non of this 30mins of rambling to share 2mins of the info you actually need, so well done mate! Legend.

I used to have a CL9 till last month - AUS delivered - before jumping onto grs184 Crown, owned for about 5 and a half years. CL9 is certainly a great car. Good build quality, quite a timeless design and a decent performance - certainly not considered 'fast' but overall a great daily vehicle.
Nowadays in Aus the import regulation got lifted up hence We get to import CL7 - starting from $20K AUD ish so once those CL9 owners chase those EuroRs, I might slide in and pick up another CL9, this time for a weekender car XD

@@KiwiCarLife Meh, it's pretty slow to react. At least it is on my CU1, which I think is 99% the same AT. What I dont like about the S-mode is that you can't really put it into S at higher speed. As it's limited to 1-2-3 before putting it into sequential mode (flipper pedal). So when you put it into S, to go to the sequential mode, it downshifts to 3 and revs like mad. I don't understand why S couldn't just be sequential mode, and whatever gear it is in for D, was what it went to in S.

Uhm, I think you could've elaborated a lot more on the engine side of things. Because the K24Z3 is a serious downgrade from the K24A3. With the Z3, Honda moved to the "headifold" design, meaning the exhaust manifold is ingrated into the head, and will immediately be a bottleneck if you want it to breathe better. Secondly, the K24A3 has VTEC on the exhaust, whereas the Z3 doesn't. The Z3 is DOHC, but it only has single-lobe cams, and there is no VTEC camlobes. The K24A3 has 3 lobe cams on the exhaust with VTEC. The tuning potential of the K24A3 therefor over 300hp built. You can forget getting anything extra out of the K24Z3 without a turbo, which it is made for basically. Honestly, a 6000-7000rpm turbo engine isn't really anything other than the competition. Which is why the screaming K-engines died with the headifold.
EDIT: Oh, halfway through the video you talked about it again. Oh well. Ill leave it up for reference sake.

Cl9 has vtec on both intake and exhaust side and 4 separate exhaust ports going into a 4-1 header, cu2 has vtec only on intake side and has a collector style header where all 4 ports go into one outlet, rather than remaining separate and getting collected in the header.
