    I used to commute my 08 cl9 through the backroads similar to the roads in this video. I seriously drove with out a care of the speed limit and how dangerous it was driving at all times of the day including early hours of the day. Best driving experiences in this car.

    Love my CL9! These videos went a long way towards getting me back into an Accord (replacing my old Ford V8) and I'll never look back!

    Let's say you managed to convince me LOL
    Bought my first Honda today. A 7th gen accord Type S.
    Beautiful looks, best clutch responsiveness and feel I've had so far (I seriously had a big fear it could be bad, considering other regular cars with manual I have driven and this being a sporty one).
    Took it the long route to home and almost skid it into a big-ass snow pile trying to make a swift U-turn using full throttle. I live in northern Europe and we had kind of a stormy winter evening so roads are slippery, and you can often have some fun all while staying responsible. But snow tires had none of it this evening and gripped too well.
    All because after the very first gas pedal press you understand that this car just invites you to play with it. It instantly responds whether or not you decide to be goofy with it.
    Looking forward to do some minor mods to it.
    Only problem I've had so far is that it interminnently almost stalls at idle and then revs up again to dodge it from dying. At very consistent intervals, just idling, gear or no gear, nor even clutch doesn't seem to matter.
    Considered cleaning or replacing idle control valve, but it's so consistent with timing, I'm not really sure what it could be

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před rokem

      Awesome man! Glad you're enjoying it. Honestly I dunno what that issue could be either. Maybe a throttle body relearn?

  • @jarzota

    Cl9 was my first ever car. A lot of panel beats, but as a young kid, i was happy. I was always on fb marketplace and auto parts looking for parts. Swapping out my pre face model for euro side skirts bumper and rear. Added mugen wing too and coilovers. I honestly love the way it looks. It age so well, a 2004 accord still looks so brand new and top tier. My only problem was that the engine was the 160hp variant. I had to let it go because it was boring and slow.
    I wanted something light, fun, high revving, and for myself only. I got myself a dc5 type s. I'm looking to add Type R wing, exhaust and sri (cai is too dangerous for this car esp winter season in auckland). Right now im happy with my buy. I'm also sad I cant bring my friends with me. If i ever get bored, I know I can always go back to the accords and not regret the buy.

Not sure if I should stick to the high mileage one as it will depreciate less anyways and not worth it for the added money for 45k km more mileage. What do you think? The 100k of course looks better with some mugen parts and 145k has a Js racing exhaust.
