    The Accord Euro, in my opinion is arguably one of the best cheaper driver oriented vehicles on the market. It can be used as a daily, track or street car. Even seen it sometimes used as a time attack car here in Australia. Only main thing i’d say with auto vs manual is the how heavily tuned you want your car. Slapping on harsher mods such as turbos is more forgiving in manual versions of this car because with auto you’d have to change the torque converter and such if you want to push pass around 5-8PSI of boost (Around 250HP/180KW with bolt ons, injectors etc and stock internals give or take). But with manual expect gains over 200KW/270HP and higher boost in manual with similar modifications. Of course if there is a will theres a way, so if whether you plan on grabbing a sick Manual or Auto version of these cars just look at the pros and cons on what you wanna do with these cars.

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah kinda outlined that in the video. Both are good, but auto is only really suited to N/A mods, manual is a little more engaging and can handle more power, and has the option of LSD

    Absolutely brilliant - again. I have an Auto here is Australia. So much potential but Honda just missed it. That tune fixes so many of the issues with the std version. Too long gears (the tune minimises this issue), minimal V-Tec time (doesn't activate until 6000rpm), changes gears at 6800 instead of the rev limit, throttle is way too aggressive higher in the rev range. I have always wondered how an auto would go with a shorter diff ratio. Any chance for another review but this time doing some timed testing? Cheers David

The a3 here in South africa produces 150kws and there is another varient of the a2 which produces 153kws. Also the a2 engine costs alot more than the a3 internals for some reason. The ones that have electric power steering have it like this because they are equipped with honda sensing package ( adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assyst ) so they need the electric motor for steering corrections

      @@KiwiCarLife i started making english language videos too, i own a CL9 executive manual with serge bo's reflash and header, and this car got me into making CZcams videos in romanian language.
      Just drove it yesterday:))
      The problem in continental Europe, Romania, where i'm from, is that people think the supreme car is a boring passat diesel, and you don't have acces to honda parts for mods
      For example the Euro R gearbox with lsd costs 2000 euros just to buy it from Russia, an intake manifold is over 600 euros.
      There are russian and ukrainian folks that tune the hell out of the cl9 with 3k euros and get 300whp out of the engine.
      Pistons, conrods,camshafts, vtc gear, intake and header, catback, short gearbox, acura TL throttle body, tsx or hondata ECU, ram air intake or CAI, suspension upgrades, rims, big brake kit
      To do a mod like this in Romania you spend over 10k euros.
      I got to drive a heavily modded one, except for camshafts intake and throttle body and it drives like mine on the freeway, for example 100 200kmh he does it in 4 5 6 gears and i do it in 3 4 5, same acceleration time.
      So if i had that money I'd rather travel, buy ski gear, and just maintain a perfect mechanical state for the car as it is my daily driver

I just tcu tuned my bmw 116i, it did 0 to 100 in 6.29 with slow ish shifts and changing gear at too low rpm, so maybe I'll get into the 5s, vid on my channel as I know it's hard to believe a 116i doing that lol

    There is no way those 2 will be near in performance, is either you didn't test it correctly or the auto has more power, if similar power the manual one should have destroyed the auto. The auto has more power loss in the transmission and very long gears. You most probably tested them for very narrow power band (only 2-3 gears and stopped), it can be seen on your video when auto was in 2nd and you in 3rd that you recover the gap but you stopped the test. I bet you could have catch up and passed him.

    • @TheBboyRyujin
      @TheBboyRyujin Před 2 lety

      Yes this. The auto is k24a2 and his is k24a3 which is less power. Idk though I own an auto. I'm guessing its alot of factors like the throttle response in the manual. It's cool to see I might have to get the kflash now. 4k vtec sounds nice especially with the long gears. I already have hondata reflash but I'll dyno these two different reflash tunes for sure.

    • @KiwiCarLife
      @KiwiCarLife  Před 2 lety +4

      There was a combination of factors, he has the a2, I have the a3, he started in vtec because his tune puts it at 4k whereas I started out of vtec because mine is set at 4.8k, and his 2nd is slightly shorter than my 3rd. But all in all, if we both started in 2nd I would have walked, but what's the point? Ofc you would expect that to happen. This really highlighted that the auto doesn't really lose much power through the transmission at all
