- We're back with more Honda vs Haters and this round is a lesson in power-to-weight ratios. "TinyToes" brought out his bare-bones, all motor CRX with a B20/B16 Frankenstein to line up against our own Uncle Gary in his mildly tuned R34 Skyline and it's a close one!

Whoever decided to add the drone shots of the cars rolling back to the starting line is genius. It's like watching boxers walk to their corners or something. I have no idea why I love it so much but it's one of my favorite parts of This vs That.

Crx owners unite!! Haha. This series is so good. I’m a die hard Honda fan but really anything jdm is just beautiful.
That CRX is so eerily close to the one I built 15 years ago that I thought it was my car. Was literally looking for tiny little things I did to check and see. It's not, but my gosh it's close. It's also NOT an 88. It's a 90-91, hence the taillights being bigger from top to bottom and the side trim being unavailable that way in 88-89.
My CRX was a LSVTec w/ 12.5:1 comp, Type R internals, portflow valvetrain, JUN Stg 3 cams, Skunk2 cam gears, Integra Cable Trans (JDM), Hondata S100, RC injectors w/ AEM rail, SMSP Header to open 3" exhaust. I'm sure I'm missing some things, as I was a broke kid that pieced it together over 3 years. I was so fuckin proud of that thing. Bitch made 248 wheels hp and revved to 9500. I miss that car so, so much. Ran 11.7 on shitty drag radials the day I finally took it to MIR. Super sleeper, too.

They weren't kidding when they said that R34 sounds good. And I usually don't think this about most modified Hondas, but that CRX does too!

This why it's impossible to find CRX stock single cam d series for under 10k.
R34 GT-R (comparably modded) would have smoked the CRX. This skyline is the inferior GT-T.

@@electrikoptik CRX was only 235 whp. That's not a lot. With that being said. The skyline is very fast for the weight and 305 at all four wheels.

I have a stock series 2 R32 GTR. My buddy's EK hatch with a stock CRV K24 making 226whp hung with my car. I can tell without watching this that a 250hp, 2000lb CRX is going to smoke a heavy R34 GTT.

They’re a BLAST to drive! They’re so zippy, and the turning - if you sneeze you really might die on a twisting mountain pass lol the steering is so tight and fun, it feels like a go cart on the street, it’s insane. I’d recommend everyone drive one at least in their lifetime to know what “driving a go kart on the street” truly feels like, not even the Miata can compete with how the crx feels.

Remember an old friend had a crx running ,320bhp same block. He was a skinny short guy in a car weighing barely a ton. Used to be great watching 3rd gear wheel peels down the high street. Beautiful throttle control in these races guys got reflex
