Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Renault Clio - 2019 - Best in Class - Supermini

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash tests on each model tested:
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
- an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

Clio ile büyük bir kazaya karışmıştım. 2014 Yılında İzmir Işıkkent'te kırmızıda beklerken karşı yönden gelen BMC kamyonet önden çarptı bana. Ben de arkamdaki tır ile kamyonet arasında sıkıştım. Arabada tek başımaydım, sadece direksyon ve yan kapıdaki hava yastığım açıldı. araçtan çıkınca ne kadar büyük bir kaza olduğunu anladım. arabanın önü dümdüz olmuş, nasıl bir bar kullandılarsa motor kabine girmemiş, çelik kafes bükülmemiş bile. Sadece hava yastığı gözlüğümü kırdığı için burnumun üstünde çizik vardı. onun dışında hiç bir şey olmadı. gelen araç minimum 2 ton ağırlığındaydı ve en az 30 km hız ile çarptı. Bu ölümlü bir kaza için yeterli bir kuvvetin açığa çıkması demekti. Arabanın kasası kesinlikle sağlam değil, ama şunu anladım ki, ihtiyacımız olan sağlamlık değil, güvenlik. 2013 model şirket arabası JOY (EN BOŞ) paket Clio'da yeteri kadar güvenlik önlemi varmış. Tecrübe edilmiştir.
hocam şöyle düşünün ama aracın kasası sağlam değil demişsiniz. Eğer sağlam olsaydı da çarpışmayla oluşan kuvveti ön taraf emmeden direk size yöneltseydi bir yeriniz kırılırdı her türlü diye düşünüyorum. Sağlamlıktan çok ön tarafın kuvveti emmesi gerekiyor.
Araçların ön tarafının daha kırılgan olmasının sebebi darbeyi sönümlemesi ve yaya güvenliği.

Profilime video yuklemistim, ben 2018 Nisan ayında 2007 Clio 3 ile bir kaza yaptım. 80 km/h hız ile giderken önüme aniden kıran adamdan kaçmak için park halinde ki passatta arkadan çarpmak zorunda kaldım. En boş paketti ve tekrar ediyorum iki nesil önceki clio 3. Hiç bir yerimde ne bir acı ne bir ağrı hissettim. Sadece airbagin sıcaklığını göğsümde hissettim kazadan sonra. Birde o barut kokusu 😅 Gerçekten güvenli yapiyorlar kağıt dedikleri bu clioyu. 10 sene boyunca kullandigimiz aracın bizi bu kadar sahiplenecegi aklımiza gelmezdi 😊 Geçmiş olsun
Çok geçmiş olsun. Bir daha böyle bir tecrübe yaşamamanızı ümit ederim.

Abi Renolarin camurlugu plastik diye adi kağida cikmiş. Bundan kac sene once cikan megane 2 bile o yil 5 yildiz almiştir araclarin sasileri saglam ama kaporta enerjiyi absorbe etmek adina haşat oluyor fakat kabine hasar ulaşmiyor.

sip cip for 2019 all that equipment is standard on the Clio. NCAP don’t award for features if they aren’t available for every version of that model
As usual, Renault did a great a great job with this crash test.

They still have a lot to go for long term reliability though. My wife has a 2013 mark 4 Clio and it's starting to fall apart. Wished it was better built.

Acil durum frenini deneyimleyen var mı? Bende iki kere uyarı verdi sadece şimdiye kadar. Biri çok uzaktayken ve hızlı giderken. Bir diğeri ara sokakta motosiklet önüme kırınca. Bir kaç gere de uyarı bile vermedi frene basmasam kaza yapacağım durumlarda. Yavaş hızlarda deneme de yaptık ama bir türlü fren yaptıramadık.

Why aren't insurance companies reducing rates for drivers who own cars like the Clio? The French government reduces the national speed limit from 90 kph to 80 kph in order to save lives, but does little to promote people buying safe cars like this Renault. I own a Renault Talisman and the safety kit it has to avoid collisions is amazing. The pieton detection system recently saved me from having an accident when a large deer ran into the road ahead of me. I would never have reacted in time. Well done Renault.!

Really good otherwise but curtain airbags arent still reaching far enough, should go all the way to A-pillar. This curtain airbag case just continues with many European cars, while most US models have it better now.

For example, a car is crashed and gets 4/5 stars, but it has a lot of safety systems so it gets 3 more stars.

Maybe in the future, they ignore passive safety systems and more focus on active ones to reduce mass and cost🤔
Then that would be 5+4 stars since 96% is way more than enough to deserve 5 stars in crash test imo

If Dacia is owned by Renault, and the Sandero is built on the same platform as the Clio, why does Renault still make Dacia cars relatively unsafe? the new Sandero Stepway 2021 only got 2/5 and Clio gets 5/5?

Yorumlarda bazıları yok araba patates oldu yok dümdüz oldu yok şu araba daha az hasar aldı gibi ifadelerde bulunmuş ancak önemli olan insan hayatı arabanın hasarı değil.

@@gregorhorvat80 Renault is considered to be a leading brand in safety and has been for a while by having the first 5* ncap rating on the 2002 Mégane. This Clio shows how amazing Renault's engineers are to get a supermini this high in the safety rating. Volvo, Mazda and all the German brand have yet to beat Renault in this specific segment (A2, Polo, Corsa etc).
Why are some people feeling the need to belittle this brand?

The Renault TCE engine is a well known reliable engine even used in A class mercedes from 2013 - 2019.
