While I loved all those bi books (RWRB is currently my all-time fav book), I would love to read more books with bi characters who don't end up in a same-sex relationship. It'd be nice to read characters who reflect my own situation is all. Love this video btw đ

"I wept like English lady"... excuse moi but we English ladies don't weep. We're like known for our stiff upper lip! That aside thanks for the Ace recommendations, so frustrating that's there little to no Ace representation in adult fiction. I'm 40 & resigned to not finding Ace representation of someone my age. I didn't know asexuality was even a thing until a few years ago so I'm not sure people realise older Aces exists!
I'm just getting into the whole booktube scene(don't know why I never thought us looking up books on CZcams before...), and you just got recommended. Just wanted to say thank you for doing this. I'm a gay guy, and it sometimes makes me sad that, as you said, most of the talk revolves around gay guys and lesbians. Over the last few months I've been trying to get better at reminding myself that the community is more than just us, but also includes a wide variety of other people. Plus, I absolutely love Stephen King and his universe, but I'm trying to take a break from him for a bit, so I'm definitely gonna check at least a few of these out.
Edit: Just bought the Deep and The Antidote for Everything. Downloading them to me eReader now.
Hearing you talk about all boys aren't blue makes me think about something that happened when I was working in a preschool several years ago. It was play time and I was with a group of three little boys who were black. We were in the dress up section and one of them said he wanted to wear clip on earrings and the other two boys started telling him he couldn't wear them because "earrings are for girls." Literally all I said was "earrings are for anyone not just girls" and I swear 30 seconds later all three boys were wearing pink princess dresses and telling each other how nice they looked. They were having so much fun! We really need to allow boys and men, including and especially black boys and men, to be free and happy and stop policing everyone's gender identity and expression. So anyway, I'm excited that this book will be a TV show because maybe it will bring more people into engaging with these topics.

I discovered your channel recently and I'm in love. As a white jewish autistic pan-romantic NB (I normally just label myself "queer"), I both want to read more books about people like me, but I also need to read more about oppressed people who are not like me!
Though I have formed various relationships with many POC, people of all genders, trans* folks, ace/aro people, I can still only understand from the inside my own experience.
So thank you so much for all the amazing recommendations! If I remember correctly, the only books I've already read are the Broken Earth trilogy, which has become my favourite fantasy series of all times. So I trust your good tastes, and will read the rest asap!
Ps: you might want to check Depart Depart by Sim Kern. It's an anticipation thriller featuring a ton of various queer people who try to survive the flood that is destroying part of the US while battling with all the oppression you can imagine. And possibly a ghost too. The main protagonist is a Jewish trans man, and the author is a Jewish NB trans individual themselves. It's raw, hopeful, tragic, and a very good debut novel. đ

Makes me so happy to see lists/videos like this, makes me so excited for the kids these days that hopefully they don't have to be confused and hurt like I was and instead get amazing stories that openly celebrate them

My Libby/library wish list is growing. I've picked up several of these books after hearing you rave about them before and I loved them! I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this list. Also, I'd recommend picking up All Boys Aren't Blue via audiobook. I love hearing authors narrating their own stories and Johnson did a great job.
