Just finished switching mine out. I struggled with 2 things. First was getting the old regulator out. The top part was stuck in that space up there. I had to get that bolt back to its hole and take the bolt all the way out. Then it had room to come down. Second was getting the motor into place after getting the new regulator into position first (was following what he did in the video). So I took the bottom bolts of the regulator back out of their slots, then I could get the motor the extra half inch over to slide its bolts into place. Put the regulator back and everything went in nicely. Works perfectly!
Now I need to order one for the rear and I'll remove all the bolts completely from the start, in case I run into that same problem.
    Thanks for the great video!

One thing forgotten...after the window is on the track, pushed into position on the studs....reaffix the side clips to keep the bracket on the window. With my replacement, the clips had to be removed from the new unit first as well. Also, didn't need to switch bolts as the new one came with all 6 bolts.
Also, it's worth mention that when re-installing...the top of the new unit needs to slide behind that top flange. The side towards you. That's where the difficulty lies. Squeezing it behind that flange and then moving it into position. Otherwise that top bolt won't get close enough to to hang on the hole. It also made it a lot easier to get out when that top bolt was removed altogether in the beginning. All the bolts can come off to help slide the unit out.

Thanks soo much for this great video! Took me about 1.5 hours from beginning to end. I did have a little difficulty trying to line up the bolts on the motor end once I installed the new regulator. I removed the three bolts and lined the holes up and then was able to secure them. Everything works great and it's nice to have my window working again after four long months of not being able to operate it... :) I purchased the upgraded regulator and it was 10 x's better than the old one.

I just commented on the video saying the same thing about the bolts on the motor. I took the bottom two bolts of the regulator out of their slots so I could move it over just enough to get the motor bolts in. If that didn't work I was going to do as you did. It just needed a half inch more to make it over there!

Whenever a brand of regulator has its own screws - USE THESE!! I bought one brand and it needed to reuse the factory motor screws, but came with smaller track/regulator screws. I put all the factory screws in and the two at the bottom of the track were too long making it hit the window carriage. The window could not go all the way down. Uuups. Factory screws are best, but sometimes regulators have their own for a reason. Move the window down slowly to see.

The three nuts that are holding the regulator to the door frame seem to be just spinning. They aren’t loosely spinning so I don’t know if the rivets on the opposite side are messed up. Anyone have any tips? I got the three holding the window motor easily so I know I’m not crazy

I'm having issues with this project. I've replaced this item twice now (with you guys sending me a replacement part for the first one I bought) and it continues to malfunction. Each time I complete the installation, the window will not go up straight. The motor struggles to get the window moving up and then the window tilts forward and wont go all the way up straight. I have to use my hand to straighten the window out for it to go up straight. I know it's installed correctly since there really isn't a "wrong" way to place the part in the door. Plus I've taken it apart and tried again about 5 times. Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

K I figured it out. The New glass CANNOT fit into the new door if you have one of those AVS rain guards on your door. You have to remove that first then it goes in easily from the outside flat against the door. Ughhh now I need a new rain guard too.

on my 2007 liberty there was no "door handle rod clip" that you mention at 1:58. It was hardware fastened in, there is no way for me to release without breaking this piece so I just left it. I ended up just using a 1x1 peice of wood to jam the window up permanently. Jeeps suck I want my Honda back! Thanks for the 'how to' though!
