Good for practicing stamina and picking techniques. There's info on the tone in the description. I'll remind you that all my processing is digital, i use no pedals or amps and you can easily achieve this with some knowledge and the softwares (again, in description). I did my best to create a fluid fret position since i had not that much info of the originals (only some live videos with low takes on the bassist). Chords are just approximations of mostly riff based material, which sometimes turns to be a little ambiguous on tonality. You can set the song into B Natural Minor with the use of an F chord, creating some tension back into Em (implying E Phrigian, probably). If you have more info or theories on this, please let me know. Thanks for watching.

I think he means because you can’t really hear the bass in the song, so by not playing you would be accurate to how the song sounds.
One of the things I recall James saying, when looking back at the And Justice album, is Jason just played along to James' rhythm guitar.
I know that isn't much help, but it's better than trying to play it by ear.
I think you did a good job regardless, thereby serving justice for Jason.

I don’t know why the hell Metallica didn’t want the bass tone to come out like wtf there are some godly bass lines that their songs have when you multiply their volume like 10x LOL. For those wondering why it isn't just silence: He's covering the remastered version. You can just barely hear the bass on that one.
Everyone making “haha no bass use original as backing track” jokes when actually ‘One’ is the only song on AJFA where the bass is audible. Once you know what you’re looking for, it sticks out in the clean sections and adds an extra sense of drowning melancholy.

After ditching this song a few years ago because it was too fricking hard, I finally started learning it again. I was so happy this was accurately tabbed too (I also made a bass tab for myself for fun when I heard the official bass track from Guitar Hero: Metallica and this comes very close).
This is accurate but I learned on a certain part of the song where the 5s are supposed to be open on the Same string so it was difficult keeping like that

There are 17 time signature changes between 4/4, 2/4, 3/4, and 6/4, which is quite impressive for a Metallica song, but it's absolutely nothing compared to Tool's "Schism", or Dream Theater's "Dance Of Eternity", or any song with a ridiculous amount of time signature changes that matter.

I saw them on the Damaged Justice tour in '89, and while I was never one to get wasted for concerts, as was the tradition at the time, I sadly don't remember that much about the show.
Jason is a frickin' animal when he plays, and the bass line really adds to the song.
