There's some errors on the tabs that i couldn't fix. You'll identify some hammer ons and pull offs that don't go into any note. Just don't pay attention to that. Check the description for info on how to achieve the tone. Many people think the Steve Harris technique requires lots of strength and stamina, but it's all about the technique. The plucking is just the opposite of strong. Fun line to play. Song is in E Natural Minor:

CoverSolutions trooper the iron maiden please
"The Trooper" definitely takes some stamina considering the galopping 16th notes and overall tempo of the song.
This is a useful playalong, but there are a LOT of missing gallops that Steve did in the original. For example, a lot that you labeled staccato, there are extra notes that just don't pop out as loud. You can hear them all in the isolated bass.

This one got me started playing Steve Harris lines. One of the exceptional non-gallop-songs. Great bassline though!

Almost been playing for 5 months and I got the main riff down. Hoping to have this crossed off by the time 6 months rolls around.
Edit: chorus is perfect at 75% speed.
Edit 2: 6 days after trying to attempt this I have the chorus and verse down at full speed, working on the intro part that comes after the 2nd and 3rd break.
Edit 3: 13 days in and I'm about 99% finished. Have some issues transitioning from the octaves back to the chorus in time but so far everything else is good.
Final Edit: 15 minutes later and I can play it flawlessly. Thank you for teaching me bass, CoverSolutions!

Overall execution and technical ability and timing of course was great. I learned this song back in the 80's from tab out of Guitar for the practicing musician. One flaw i see in this tutoring. All of the high notes of the riffs are all done in the 10th-14th fret range. Steve Harris' riffs are always chordal and if it's a scale, he often spans the neck in one quick burst usually on one string but sometimes two. This motion usually makes his notes seemless, sustained and fluent. If Harris can ring two notes together from a chordal pattern, he does. My advice, get the Iron Maiden bass tab book and learn it the right way. It will change your understanding of Harris' style.

Gw sebagai mantan Anak Metal di Era tahun 90 an Pastinya tahu dooong Band Iron Maiden yg sekampung dg Band Queen ini. Bahkan kalo gak salah gw pernah beli beberapa Album Band Iron Maiden, dan Pastinya gw juga bisalah kalo cuma mainin beberapa lagu dari Band ini pake Gitar Bass gw yg Sakti Mandra Agnes, eh sori maksud gw yg Sakti Mandra Guna gitu lho. Yg gw salut dari Band ini, yaitu Sang Vokalisnya punya Pesawat Terbang Peribadi plus bisa nyupirin itu Pesawat Terbang nya juga alias dia bisa menjadi Pilot ( Pastinya si Bos pernah ikut Kursus jadi Pilot ). Jadi maksud gw gini lho, kalo orang Kaya Raya punya Mobil Ferari, Motor Harley Davidson, Rumah Mewah 3 Lantai, itu sih Biasa Bin Basi Boss. TAPI Kalo sampe ada orang Kaya Raya punya Pesawat Terbang sendiri plus bisa nerbangin sendiri. Ini baru LUAR BIASA Gaes...!!!
