Ingredients:
• 2 steaks, boneless
• 2 large yellow onions, finely minced
• 2 tablespoons kosher salt, plus more as needed
• 2 tablespoons black pepper, plus more as needed
• 2 tablespoons butter, room temp
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• ½ cup red wine, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon is recommended
• 3 tablespoons soy sauce
• 2 tablespoons mirin
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons water
• 1 tablespoon butter, cold
• 2 tablespoons umeboshi (pickled plum) paste
• 2 cups white rice, cooked
• 2 tablespoons green onions, for garnish, optional

Thank you for watching! I’m not sure if chicken will work for this dish with the red wine demi. If you try it let me know how it goes! I think if you did do chicken though definitely use dark meat or maybe the chicken leg quarters or an airline chicken breast!
