There is little difference between a casserole and a stew. A purist would say that a casserole goes in the oven, heating the dish from all directions, while a stew goes on the stovetop and is heated from the bottom. Another point of difference is a casserole is the name of the pot used for cooking.

I have made this recipe, delicious. Tomorrow, I'm gonna make it with chicken, few minor changes, chicken stock and white wine stock, other than that, the same, might make some dumplings to go with it too.

its satisfying to make ya own mash, but the energy prices these days i THINK its prob more cost effective to buy frozen mash nuggets ( i aint done the math so i may be wrong ) however , cooking is a hobby not a economic life hack :)

You can do mash potato in a pressure cooker in around 7 mins costs virtually nothing to cook.
